Great service. Alot of site seeing.

We were quite happy here! Cost was quite reasonable and the walk down hill to shopping, Galleries Lafayette etc. was easy. Staff was quite helpful and always answered with a smile. There was a Metro stop right at our corner along with a nice grocery. Breakfast cost extra but they did not skimp. Breakfast included eggs, meat, cheeses, pastries, fruit, juices and coffee and tea. Rooms are not plush but who stays long in their rooms when in Paris. We were in a triple and this consisted of 2 twin beds and a pull out bed under a day bed.

Nothing. Everything. The front desk was very rude like nothing I have experienced before. Really unbelievable. Words can't explain the frustration of dealing with this.

Was in Paris on a pleasure trip. Stayed here 2 nights before going on to stay with friends. The staff was top notch even gave me a complimentary cup of coffee upon arrival while I waited for my room to be ready. The room was spacious (for Paris standards) with large, clean and well-equipped bathroom. The breakfast was great in a beautiful room. Since it is close to St. Lazare train station you do hear trains which didn't bother me. Location is close to plenty of cafes and restaurants and just steps from the metro station. I'll definitely stay here again.

Hotel was close to the metro stop and staff was very helpful. The staff was great. The rooms were small, but we expected that. The rooms and lobby were very clean. Hotel is located very close to a metro stop which is very handy.

The hotel is conveniently located next to a metro stop. The large train station that is located behind the hotel. Trains are coming and going at all hours. The Berne opera hotel in Paris overall is a fine hotel to stay at for a short visit to Paris. It is conveniently located next to a metro stop, which makes getting around the city easy. The main tourist attractions in Paris are spread around the city so the metro is vital is seeing all that Paris has. The front desk staff is very friendly and they speak English very well. The room was small, but it is Europe so we expected it to be small. The bathroom was larger than expected, but could have been cleaner. The main problem we had with the hotel was the noise. There is a train station located behind the hotel. There are trains coming and going at all hours and it get very loud with the window open. The noise will for sure disturb anyone who is a light sleeper. The two twin beads pushed together were comfortable.

Hotel was very clean and had large, clean bathrooms. Also, hotel staff was excellent (very helpful and friendly). Lastly, close to subway, safe area. Carpet in room required cleaning. Bed covers were older (bed sheets very clean however). Lastly, room was small and hotel didn't have clothes irons. For those who do not wish to spend a fortune on hotel accommodations while visiting Paris, this hotel does a great job at offering exactly what you pay for and should expect from a 3 star hotel in Europe.

Nothing. Dirty, old, run down, staff unhelpful, miserable. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever encountered. It was far too dirty and disgusting to stay. Also the staff was extremely unhelpful. My 20 year old daughter and I arrived in the pouring rain with lots of luggage at midnight and the employee in the tiny lobby offered us no assistance. I slipped and fell on the wet tile in the revolving door and still no help.

Good location. Room was not available when I arrived, so I was sent to another hotel nearby for the first night of my stay¿ Well located, clean, but a little run down.

Location. 5 minute walk to the closest subway. Hotel is older. Mattress/pillows are light weight. Hotel is on a quiet side street. Neighborhood stores close after 6pm and restaurants maybe 10pm. The staff will do the usually greetings hello/goodbye but if you know some French the conversation could get better. The hotel is older. So judge accordingly. Room and bathroom are relatively tight. Beddings are "skinny" by American standards. Of interest to music lovers - to the west of the hotel is a neighborhood where stores sells sheet music, violin repair shops, violin schools. Take time to explore.

Location. Close to metro station. Rooms too small. Staff was friendly. Rooms are too small if you are traveling with kids. Overall, facilities are clean.

Reasonably clean. Next to a railroad tracks and VERY noisy This is a relatively small hotel with about 6 rooms on each of 6 floors. On each floor 3 rooms are towards the front of the building facing the street and 3 rooms face railroad tracks, which are not seen because windows open to a shaft.

I didn't like anything about it. they ripped us off. Over charges us for the room. then charged us twice. maid didn't ever give us clean towels (6 night stay) I would never recommend this to anyone. the concierge gave us wrong directions every time we asked for them. they charged us an extra $180 for our stay and then charged us $180 again alleging that we never paid the first time when they wouldn't even give us the room key before we paid the first time. the maid only made the beds in the room and didn't clean anything else. when we asked for towels she gave us some. very out of the way to the main attractions.

Excellent bathrooms with showers (unusual in France). Staff was very helpful. Room was small and faced on a train yard in the back (noisy) This is an acceptable moderately-priced hotel, less than a block from a metro stop and convenient to restaurants, theaters, and shopping. While the front rooms face onto a quiet street, the back rooms face onto a train yard, with constant traffic during the night. The rooms are small and sparsely furnished, but with recently remodeled tile bathrooms, featuring a heated towel rack and a tub with a curtained shower. The staff was uniformly helpful and very capable in English.

Can not really think of anything good. Mold growing in the bathroom. To say it is in the Opera district is quite a stretch, it was more than a few blocks from that area. As for it being in a quiet neighborhood, that might be true if it were not for the major open Metro terminal/station that was right outside our window. The weekend staff really had no idea what was going on, they had to make a call to find out about getting the remote control for the air conditioner. When we checked into the room we found that the toilet would leak every time you flushed it, so we asked for another room and were told they had to other rooms and to just put a towel down under. Later I went to dry my hair and found that the hair dryer was missing the button that turns it off and on, good thing I had my own. There was mold growing everywhere around the bath tub. Basically the bathroom was nasty all the way around. I kept smelling a mildew scent when going from the bedroom to the bathroom and finally found the reason, the back of the closet was not finished out, at the bottom it was just open to god knows what.

Great bathroom. Lots of mirrors. Friendly staff. Right near major train station. Uncomfortable bed, very noisy, near bad neighborhood. This is a very small hotel. Desk help spoke English, French and Italian, and was very helpful about places to go. Room very small, bed needs to be replaced. Room mostly clean, but carpet could have used more vacuuming. If there was a/c it wasn't on, so I had to leave windows open, and it's very noisy as about ten different train lines run by the hotel at night. I had a double bed, which was a nice surprise. Lots of mirrors, including full length, also a nice surprise. Bathroom was lovely, with huge soaking tub and shower massage. If you don't put do not disturb sign on door, maid will just walk in without knocking. Well stocked mini bar, but much cheaper to buy water and wine from grocery store right next door. Very close proximity to Rome metro stop, which is helpful. Just don't forget that Metro shuts down at 1 a.m., because it is very hard to get a taxi to go up there at night! Pretty far from tourist destinations, but okay with Metro ticket. No dresser in room, which was problematic as there was not enough room to leave my suitcase open. TV small but more than sufficient for my daily dose of news and weather. All in all, better than I expected for my $100 U.S. Dollars.

Location close to Metro. Too close to N-S railway trunk-line, noise. Good French hotel i.e. small rooms, clean, professional staff--in a gentrifying neighborhood. Very good breakfast, although costs 12 Euros. Staff informative, polite, able to speak English if needed. Only drawback is proximity to rail-lines going south to Gare St. Lazare about five blocks south. Big plus, about 100 yards to nearest Metro, Rome. Good dining, cafes in area.

The room was clean, the location was also convenient. The staff wasn't very friendly. We actually had an experience with a reception clerk, we called for assistance in dialing internationally and his response was: "you live in the U.S. and you don't know how to call long distance". I wasn't sure how to take his question, I answered: "I don't live in France, I don't call home from France everyday. Can you help me?". He seemed to be bothered that we would call to inquire about how to place a long distance call. Not speaking French wasn't helpful, their English was very limited. Other than that we can't say much about the location because we don't know Paris that well. We were able to use the subway and the hotel is very close to a subway station so it worked out ok.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. The actual room was incredibly small. The hotel staff was the best attribute of this hotel. The rooms were extremely small and the wall very thin. At one point I had no cold water and the toilet would not flush. I was not able to take a shower due to the boiling water. The actual shower had a bit of mold in it. I would not recommend this hotel, but would recommend the lovely staff.

It was ok. Walls and floors paper thin, very noisy. Heard people next door and upstairs too much. Rooms were very small and old, but clean. Did not sleep well as you could hear everything going on next door, upstairs and on the street even though we were on 4th floor. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Was walk able to Sacre Coure and metro nearby.
