Good Location but Poor QualityThis is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, only because I was stuck for somewhere to stay at short notice and I knew the location without having to consult a map. It is conveniently located in Bayswater, literally a minutes walk from the tube station, but thats about all that could be recommended about it. It is not cheap and is definitely not worth the seventy pounds that I paid. If you only want a base for the night there are cheaper alternatives within a couple of minutes walk. If you can afford to pay a little more, stay at the Hilton just around the corner from Queensway tube.

the rooms that we had did not match with the pics we saw in the net. the rooms were too small and the bathroom was even smaller i think 1.3*1.3meter. the weather was very cold in london and we couldn't get hot water for shawer. it is true that the hotel is very clean and good looking from outside and inside. this the first and the last time to stay in this hotel.

It was an alternate when my regular place ws unavailabl. It was very good location and level of service

Very friendly and helpful staff, always courteous and obliging. Rooms are comfortable and good value. There had been an error in this booking from Late Rooms; hotel upgraded to a superior room at no extra cost - these rooms are significantly more spacious and have superior furnishings if this matters to you. Convenient tube and buses; Hyde Park, wide range of restaurants in walking distance and LA Fitness gym if you are a member.

Turn right as you come out of Bayswater station on Circle / District line and you will see the hotel- about 50m away. On Central Line Queensway station- hotel is 300m on your left. There are numerous restaurants (out of which 7 or 8 are Chinese restaurants). There are also many souvenir shops, banks, a money changer, TESCO and Oriential City Supermarket all located on Queenway St - where the tube stations are. Hotel staff are helpful to tell you where to go for bus tours, shopping etc. Single Rooms and especially the toilet & shower are - small somewhat like on a ship but facilities are sufficient - with tea making facilities, safe, TV and hair dryer. Good place to stay on a budget if you do not mind confined space.

It was clean and a good location just across from the Tube but the room was the smallest room I've ever seen! Only 2x2 meters (as long as the bed..) And the bathroom was maybe 60cm wide. I had a hard time turning around in the shower!! No comments on service. I stayed two nights. Room clean and towards yard, very quiet. I wanted something clean, central and not too expensive and I knew I was not going to spend any time in the room except for sleeping so it was perfectly OK for my needs. I would stay there again. It is a good price/quality ratio for London.

Nice HotelNice hotel, good location. Room small but ok for our needs.Would stay again.

Arriving with a toddler, a pushchair and a large bag I struggled up the stairs to the hotel with no assistance. I was then given a room on the ground floor - great I thought. Not so. The hotel is made up of a number of houses knocked through, so tget to my room I had to go upstairs, downstairs and through windy corridors, again with no help offered by the hotel staff.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the public areas in the hotel were very well maintained. Only problem was our room in the basement. It was room no 19 and was directly underneath the bar area. Basically you heard footsteps constantly from around 5 in the morning. The room was very small and the entrance corridor was very narrow. Would stay in the hotel again as long as room was on an upper level. The hotel is in a great location next to hyde park and kensington gardens with great public transport links to centre of london. Queensway also has an abundance of bars and restaurants and is 2 minutes from the door of the hotel. Better prices than the centre of the city.

A very clean hotel, located in the Queensway/Bayswater area, with very friendly service. Very close to numerous bars & restaurants, and about 15 minutes walk from the start of Oxford Street, and 2 minutes from Hyde Park. Would recomend it.

The room smelt of Smoke, the onsuite was a cupboard and there was little hot water and the sink taps didn't work. Thankfully I only had to stay for 1 night or I would have complianed!

The hotel is very close to Bayswater tubestation. Great service and a very nice entrance. Only one negative, is the incredible small shower at room 405.

Room smelt terrible. Shower was extremly small and almost impossible to use. I am thin so some people would not even fit in the shower.Outside was the entrance to the restaurant which was very busy and had a lot of people hanging around untill midnight making heaps of noise so it was hard to sleep.I am in a hostel now which is a 3rd of the price and much better which doesent say much about this hotel. The only thing i was looking forward to was breakfast which unfortunately was not included due to it being an internet booking. Will be needing a hotel again in about a week however will not be staying here.

Very small room, very small bathroom, small amount of water coming out of the shower. Slow service in the reception, but when you get service it is good. Good locaton only 100m from nearest tube station and short distance to Oxford/Regent street.

The hotel is in a great location with lots of amenities nearby and two tube stations. But it is a maze of corridors and stairs - which are narrow and difficult to negotiate. More importantly, the room was tiny (I know that it is central london!!) but i literally could not have swung my cat in it. The shower room (no bath) was sort of built in as if done afterwards and was ridiculously small - there is no way my other half could have fitted into the shower and actually washed!! The room was shabby and dated - the curtains did not actually cover the window. And more importantly I stayed in a very nice 4 star hotle in Riussell Square for less money for 2 nights the following week....!!!

Charming and cosy hotel. Kind staff. Close to the subway. Room in the old part a little small, bathroom even smaller, but everything you need is available. Good breakfast and dinner. Very nice and recommanded stay for a few days London.

Room was very small (converted cupboard) and clean however although it was advertised as non-smoking, the next room wasn't and its occupant was a very heavy smoker. No litf to the top floor where the room was located. No double glazing to dull the noise of the busy road outside. Room was very warm.
Date of Stay:
December, 2008
The rooms are on the small size and the showers not ideal for guests on the larger size. But the hotel makes up with excellent customer service and location. 10 mins by bus to Oxford Street and 1 min to the nearest tube station. Shops in the area are closely located and close late - ideal for last minute gift shopping. Would definitely recommend it for quests

Quite reasonable for a hotel in this location. Although dont expect luxury. All clean room and bathroom but dated. I would use it again as its great location
