A Bournemouth Beauty and the Belvedere Both the staff and guests were friendly - welcoming and efficient at all times. Breakfast and the entire weekend was most pleasurable - good facilities and good value for money given it was only 5 minutes from the beach and pier - little re-decoration needed but overall a good place to stay - presently suprised

The only problem with this hotel was that it was very warm in the room. Apart from that it was a pleasant stay in a clean room.

Belevedere Hotel-nice old fashioned hotelThe hotel is very near shops, beaches and transport links. There is a gentle climb up the hill back from the beach. Single room had a TV with 20 channels (but no BBC News or Sky News-which I miss as I am a news junkie) Breakfast was very good with a choice of raditional english or vegetarian and a good pot of coffee.

Found it a nice hotel, with a fairly large room but the bathroom was a bit small, had a very nice swimming pool and Hot tub which was great. The breakfast was plentiful and very enjoyable, when we go back to Bournemouth if i could get the hotel at the same price i would be more than happy to stay there again.

Needs modernising. Too many different levels to get to each area within the hotel. decor very dated. Beds very uncomfortable. Excellent breakfast & service. Very friendly staff.Located at top of steep hill from centre not ideal for less mobile or unfit persons.

On first appearance the Belvedere looked okay, reception was manned by polite staff, BUTwe were directed to a room not in the main building but in what I can only describe as an annex. The furnishings looked to be from the 50's and had odd knobs ! The whole room was grim but the worst was yet to come at bedtime. The bedding, in particular the pillows, smelled strongly of stale cooking oil - however many layers of covering I put over them the smell came through. Not a good night ! The duty manager did move us to another room for the second night - this weas in the main building - much better. If you do stay here make sure you are in the main building !

Decoration was a little in need of an update but the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent.

Simple and AfordabableI'm sure nobody expecting a Mariott or Le Meridien service booking a stay in this hotel. So as long as you aware of that this hotel is great value for money place. It's in center of town, breakfast is ok, quickly served, clean room ( except bed covers :) ), small pool, bar etc. It's hotel only for sleeping not spending time during a day in it. One important thing, hotel is on roundabout so be aware that noise can be a little distracting during a night :).

My StayNice friendly staff, clean hotel but a dated, room was like going back into the 1970's with dated decor and bath / shower / toilet.Although dated clean, close to town and not bad value for money if going away for a cheap night or two.

value hotelOur stay for 2 nights in this hotel was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was clean. The breakfast was fine. The room was dated, there were cigarette burns in the blankets and the en suite shower really did need to be updated so that you could have a constant stream of water. Were happy with what we paid booking through laterooms but would definitely not pay the rates the hotel usually ask for.

Uncomfortable and not family friendly - but not all bad! There are many good points to this hotel:Reception and check-in is efficientFood and service is very goodRooms are functional and include TV and te/coffee facilities as you'd expectSwimming pool and gym are clean and usefulHowever, there are two elements for me that are important when staying away with the family. This hotel is "hen/stag friendly" - this translates to loud drunks arriving back at all hours through the night - not great for children. I should have realised but it was not advertised as such. A loud group of hens proved this point spectacularly from 3am onwards. The second important element is that the bed is comfortable. Ours was one of those double pull out of the wall types that could be folded up into a cupboard. Not terribly comfortable! Also the blankets were itchy and gave the impression that they were harbouring living creatures. If I were on a stag weekend it would be a good place, the food and staff were all very good.I wouldn't recommend a family break here however.

an experiance never to be repeatedwe arrived at the belvedere late in the afternoon having travelled from stratford. we got to our room and wanted to have a sleep for an hour before venturing out for the evening. as soon as we got into bed, 6.30pm, the disco from below us was shaking the bed. we complained to reception who moved us to the far end of the hotel, carrying our own luggage, we eventually got a quieter room. but by the time we had sorted our clothes and showered, we were too late for any food in the hotel. we asked reception if they could do anything for us considering the circumstances and we were given a selection of pizza parlours to ring. we found the belvedere to quite poor and we cut our trip short to bournemouth.

The decor of the hotel was very dated, the shower was cold and the room was cold as well. We stayed in an upperfloor room which was noisy from the near by road traffic. The bed was exceptionally hard and the TV only had four channels. The pool was small but warm as was the jacuzzi. The sauna needed to be witched on for us to use and the Gym room was very disapointing, the equipment was monder but was not working. The view from the room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Old HotelThis Hotel is beautifully situated, walking distance to Bournemouth Town shops, beach, gardens and enterainment and has a good sized car park. However, it is very tired in its decoration and fittings and needs a complete modernisation. The corridors were very musty smelling and the bath water was rust coloured! The breakfast was very good however together with the service given by the staff.

The room was very small, overpriced and the shower did not work. Very disappointing
