The room size was pretty standard compared to the other places we stayed on our vacation. They told us the outside pool was heated to 82 degrees (although we never used it). The breakfast consisted of english muffins, danishes, and coffee. They were in the process of building a new office, so they didn't have a lot of space for breakfast, but it would have been nice if there had at least been juice. The bathroom in our room had recently been remodeled, and the fridge was handy. They also had extra pillows and blankets in the room (no having to go ask for them). The towels were also not standard hotel towels, but nice and fluffy. This was a pretty good deal, as it was the cheapest, and very close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It was family owned, and they were really nice.

Cleanliness and staff were beyond expectations. Motel is a little old--floor was ajar; other than that I would highly recommend this motel to anyone; price/quality ratio was beyond expectations; friendliness and diligence of staff was beyond expectations; cleanliness is certainly high on their priorities.

I could feel the springs in the matress, the room had a 6"-8" in lean in 10'x12' room. The coffee pot did not work. The bathroom was so small. Could not stand to stay a second night, but was charged for the 2nd night even though we did not stay.

The motel is older but very clean. It had wifi which was a plus. The manager was very friendly and helpful. He is very friendly so expect to have a friendly chat or two. There was fresh pastries and coffee. Location was great and very close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor activities. We got to check in earlier than what we expected

Room was extremely small and ants in the bathroom. Motel very economical, but bed and pillows very uncomfortable.

Underpinning of building sinking. Floor very uneven, up hill, down hill. Mattress a disgrace, 3inches thick on a platform. Shower curtain did not fit opening. Ad stated a refridgerator and internet hook up in each room; neither was there. Sign lighting not there after 9:00 PM.Good location. Good price but did not justify the things lacking in the room.

A clean and probably newly renovated motel. Probably the smallest motel room we have stayed in so far but that was no problem at all. All we wanted was to rest and get a good night sleep and that is exactly what we got.

The room is small with reasonable price. It's about 10-15 minutes drive to Bar Harbor and the Acadia National Park.

Clean, comfortable and cheap, with friendly , helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and cheap, with friendly , helpful staff. Given that this was the first independent motel I have ever stayed at in my many years of hotel stays, I was very satisfied and would stay there again.

I went with this hotel because of the heated pool but when we arrived their was no water in it,also there were motels down the street at less money with a pool !

I booked this hotel for an extremely cheap $45/night. It's an easy 5 mile drive to Bar Harbor. I went at the end of May so traffic to Bar Harbor was light in general. We were first assigned a room in the back building. The room was extremely small with no dressers, but more importantly the walls were super thin. The building is also not built well so every time someone shuts their door you can hear it. In fact, you hear everything. You hear cars pulling in and out, people talking, everything. I am better at blocking noises out than my gf, but she was miserable. I spoke with the friendly staff and they upgraded us to a front building room for $56/night, still extremely cheap. The room was much larger and well built. Unfortunately, the walls here were also thin so you could hear a lot, but it was a big improvement over the first room. Bottom Line: If you are a heavy sleeper and looking for a cheap place to stay, this will fit the bill. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. However if you are a light sleeper, you will be woken up often and be pretty miserable.

The hotel was very clean and very friendly staff. The walls were very thin and the room was small. This was a great room for the price. However, the walls are thin and you could hear loud noises from the neighboring rooms. If you are looking for a place to sleep and not much more, this is a good value.

Good, clean motel. Price was right, only minutes from entrance to Acadia N.P. and from downtown Bar Harbor. Basically, if you need a cheap motel close to these locations then Belle Isle is perfect.

This place was very small but very clean. The only problem was the water pressure but other than that it was a great deal for the price. I would recommend it for others. I wouldn't want to stay in it for a week but there is a pool so that if the weather is nice you can get outside of the room.

Belle Isle Motel at Bar Harbor in Maine is a value for what you pay for.The motel was what we expected. It was clean, well maintained and taken care of.It's exactly 2 mile away from both Acadia national park and Bar Harbor, so quite convenient for all the attractions around. You'll like it if you don't go in with high expectations.
