Not sure how the 4* rating was awarded...There were special touches (chocolates, bottled water, fridge etc.) but I would not class this as a 4* hotel. The room was very small and the ceiling light devalued the room (shabby discoloured light shade)! Don't get me wrong the staff were very friendly and helpful (although it was not obvious who were staff and who were guests); the breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable and parking was available. The location is not great, but a 6 pound taxi ride will take you into the city. WARNING - avoid the ground floor rooms. Each night we were disturbed by inconsiderate guests talking/shouting when entering the corridor to their rooms. Bizarrely they also chose to sit in the chairs outside our room to chat away (at 5am!). The pedestrian traffic is amplified by the laminate floor. Apart from that it was good value!

Convenient, clean and good value accomodation in LiverpoolThis was an excellent choice for our needs (an overnight stay while passing through Liverpool). Our only difficulty was some pressure on parking spaces but the staff were very helpful on this as on other aspects of our stay. Also the room while very convenient, clean etc might feel a bit small for those making an extended stay.

Great value for money, friendly staff, clean well equiped room and nice breakfast. My room was clean, spacious with a large clean bathroom with a shower over the bath. There was a small tv and kettle with tea, coffee etc. Mints left on the pillow was a nice touch. My room was right by the reception so I was a bit worried about noise levels, but didn't hear a peep in the night. The surrounding area of the hotel is not great but felt safe- you need a car to get to any decent places to eat or drink. There is a McDonalds across the road if you are desperate! There is a small car park but as we went out for dinner and returned around 10pm the car park was full. There is plenty of parking on the street however. The breakfast was nice and there was a choice of full english or continental. The staff at reception and breakfast were really friendly and accomodating. For the value for money this hotel is excellent.

Business StayEasy parking and location, car park was full but lots of free parking on the roadStaff mainly European and riendly and helpful, was shown to roomRoom was very hot as sun was shining in all day and therefore had very uncomfortable night, it was an exceptionally hot day 30 degrees! There was a fridge in the room giving out heat too!Although rooms were tidy, beds were uncomfortable and lot of dust on wardrobes.Anyway for the price of £44 with breakfast was ok.Breakfast was excellent, good choice and friendly and helpful staff. There is a courtyard but did not have time to use.Overall I would recommend but hotel/rooms could do with a good spring clean.

Handy for an overnighterI've stayed here before & my experiences last time led me to book again. Whilst the hotel isn't in the city centre, it is easily within reach by public transport.Staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are surprisingly comfortable and well decorated. The breakfast was good, as was the service.

Excellent value for money If you visit Liverpool with a car this accommodation is very good value for the money . It is newly modernised and very clean. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of continental or Full English. The room had everything that was needed to make the stay very comfortable with nice touches like mints on pillows and biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities. Hair dryer, toiletries, tv etc all very good. Good quiet night sleep. Comfortable lounge with large t.v downstairs. Would stay there again. You do need a car though.

Lovely place to stayAstonishing good value. Spotless room, chocolates left on pillows daily plus ample toiletries, also bottled water alongside the usual tea/coffee for the purists among us. Wonderful cooked breakfast served freshly-made and piping hot, by charming and speedy staff. Lots of choice for non-Full English eaters. About a 45 minute walk to Albert Dock area so a bit out of town , but the area was quiet. Bus stop to town just around corner. Would definitely stay here again and suggest you do too. And I'm fussy.

Value for moneyThis is a nice, clean hotel. We chose it for its proximity to Anfield football stadium. Breakfast was good. The only drawback was that it is situated in a non-affluent end of town but we didn't experience any trouble. There is a Macdonalds opposite the hotel.

The room I had was really nicely furnished and very clean, new and welcoming. However it was very small and would have been a bit of a squeeze if I had been travelling with anyone else. The staff were really friendly though and the value for money was brilliant I thought.

a bit far out of city but niceits a strange place you book a hotel but its actually a row of terraced houses so feels strange.the staff are probably my only criticism they do not make you feel welcome but they actually do a very good job so its a bit harsh i guess to knock themno bar or restaurant facilities but the breakfast is excellentdont think its anywhere near the £160 a night they normally charge but late rooms did it us for £50 which was about right.the rooms immaculately clean ample tea coffeee etc well looked after in that score.other than very dour staff the place is very nice

Not as nice as the pictures look...Upon arriving at the hotel I was unsure if it was the same hotel I had seen pictures of, it did not look like the pictures. The staff were pleasant and efficient. My single room was very small but very clean, the view out of my window can only be described as a bomb site. There were no local amenities and is not somewhere you would want to venture out on a night time without your own security guard.End of the day, you get what you pay for… If you just need somewhere to sleep you could do a lot worse.

WE found the hotel staff helpful and friendly. The room was very clean - no complaints! The breakfast was excellent! Would recommend to anyone on short stopover in Liverpool. Within walking distance to Anfield which was why we chose to stay here.
