basic but good value for money with fab pool areaThis hotel is a little dated in areas but basically in a good location with ample parking-a rare thing in blackpool. Our room was clean but abit tired and old great se view. The staff are really friendly and the pool area/sauna is a nice extra. The breakfast is abit on the small side but quite ok however the dining room is very cramped. But on the whole we would use this hotel again

very friendly staff but rooms need updatingwe stayed at the hotel in feb 09. on arrival the reception staff were very nice and helpfull. had to park the car round the back which wernt very happy about this as not as safe. the rooms needed updating as very old decor and basic. didnt use the pool as was very small and the sauna was one you can build in your house and very small. the location was okay (just past the tower) and was about a ten min walk to the square of bars near the north pier. breakfast was okay, not allot on the big break (1 sausage 1 egg 1 bacon and few beans).overall nice atmosphere and okay for a 1 night stay as a cheap gettaway x

We were really optimistic when we arrived at this hote, the front of the hotel is lovely, very stylish and new. The service at Reception was great, they couldn't have been friendlier and the Receptionist showed my husband where to park his car. However, when we got up to our room we were unhappily surprised. The room hadn't been cleaned, although the bedding was fresh. The carpet will dirty and the bathroom sink and shower were covered in hairs (not ours!). For £60 the room is vastly overpriced, you can get something much bigger and cleaner for £50 in a Travelodge, although it was lovely to have a seaview. We were really disappointed as we were looking forward to our stay. We went to tell the Reception staff that we didn't want to stay, and to their credit they were lovely about it. They didn't have another room to offer us but we didn't want to stay after seeing the state of the room. Sorry Bedford Hotel, we can see you've made a real effort with the front and public areas of your hotel, but please have a look at the rooms!

Excellent view, well placed away from the bustle but not remote. Hotel really should invest in door closers so that guests aren't constantly disturbed 24 hrs by slamming doors.

Fantastic place with nice warm indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Staff were helpful and friendly, for the price, we felt spoilt, one of best places stayed in Blackpool. We would definitely come back.
