Site seeing was easy and close.... As far as the room goes, they gave us room 520 which was right by the (worker) elevator the noise was non stop all night. The bathroom made a constant noise as if someone was knocking once we closed the bathroom door it sounded as if someone was tapping... 5$ charge daily to use the internet.

Good location - convenient to Columbus Circle. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast reasonably priced and pleasant.

I stayed here March 27-29, 2009 and really liked the hotel. The room was a suite with a king size bed, mini kitchenette, and a sofa sleeper with tv on the other side of the bathroom (room 418). The staff was helpful and the check in and check out process was super easy. You do have to put your key in the elevator every time you use it, but that wasn't a big deal because I felt safer, that way you know there will not be random people not staying there walking around the floors disturbing people. The hotel had charm. I like hotels that have charm and class, and the Beacon definitely fits the bill! The bellhop personnel were very friendly and the hotel offers valet parking (the fee was waived so I didn't have to pay the $29). The location is great, about 4 blocks to 2 metro stations and very close to restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping. We also enjoyed a 3 course dinner with different wines on Saturday night for $37 a person, which for DC is not a bad price at all. The meals were very good and the wine was paired very nicely with the courses. The table we chose to sit at was secluded and faced the window so it was romantic and quiet. Overall, would recommend for get-aways with friends or a romantic trip. Will stay here again and over any every day hotel for sure! Thanks Beacon for making my stay a great one over my birthday weekend!

I wanted to meet my brother in DC. I went. I screwed up the check-in dates and the staff fixed it with no problems. The room was excellent for business and vacation. I will definitely be using Beacon for either in the future. Walking distance to the White House. Great Staff! A chill grill downstairs from which you can order room service. A * parking lot around the corner if you don't want to valet.

There was DEFINATELY a little confusion about the room booked , as we were under the impression that we had a small "kitchenette" area in our booking . This turned out not to be the case. However the staff was very accomidating, and gave us a small "fridge" for our use in the room. Rooms were SPOTLESS and classy ! Food in the on site eatery was a little pricey, ( especially breakfast) , and menu was limited, but good quality .

The hotel is perfectly situated in the Nw section of DC. The rates are very reasonable. The staff was helpful, resourceful and pleasant. The restuarant facilities are excellent. Our room was not luxurious but it was large comfortable and very very clean. Again the staff won us over, the location was excellent, walking distance of the white house and state capital building and we will be staying with them again on our next trip.

One of the best hotels to stay in DC.

Decent location. Hotel was ok. We started with a corporate quarter but were really disappointed. Moved up to a one bedroom suite which is the only way to go. Largest hotel room we ever had. Nice room, fireplace. Great, great, great! Staff was very foreign which made things difficult. No bars in the area except the hotel resturant which was ok. Luckily the cab service is great in DC and it only cost $5-$7 to get about anywhere worthwhile. Would stay there again only in a one bedroom suite. Very small hotel - almost like a boutique hotel verse the larger hotels with bigger and nicer ammeneties that we are used to. Great city, though. Really enjoyed the trip despite some hotel hassles.

The hotel was in a good location. We drove a Yukon SUV and they said our car was too big to park in their garage so we had to leave it on the street everynight and pray no one broke into it! None of the staff spoke English very well and the food was okay. We found black hair in our bed and we are all blondes so that was gross and there was a a day charge for internet. I probably will find somewhere else next time I go to DC.

Adjoining resturant was good. The biggest problem is that I got billed twice...once from Orbitz and once from the hotel. Now I am going to have undo one of them. It is something I don't really have time for and has spoiled my experience.

This was a very good deal for the price. The hotel was neat and the staff was cordial. The only thing that could be a little better was the TV; the signal wasn't very good in my room.

At first we had a room with mold from a leak. The staff was very nice in cleaning it up and later moving us to a very nice room. We loved the location; easy to walk around. Friendly staff. The restaurant was disappointing.

This hotel was a wonderful value! Our room (king bed) was somewhat small, but very comfortable. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and the sheets were really soft. We heard almost no noise from the rather busy street or from other hotel guests. The front desk staff was efficient, although didn't go out of their way to be friendly... Parking was twenty-four dollars per night, and internet access was fifteen dollars a day. Short walk to Dupont Circle and the Metro. TONS of shopping and restaurants in the area. We had a wonderful stay.

I found the hotel convienantly located to Dupont Circle. The room was cleanand the staff was very friendly. One of the elevators was out of order the entire four days I was there which made wait time long!

Very nice boutique-type hotel. Active bar and restaurant, but the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Great value for the money.
