Paid €85 room only including parking on a last minute basis - excellent value for money.

Fantastic boutique hotel. Was very impressed by rooms and hotel in general. Have already booked another stay.

I found the hotel to be very inviting and was made to feel very welcome. The staff at reception and the bar were very helpful and polite. The room was lovely and very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was gorgeous with a great shower. I would definately stay again if i was in the area.

Hotel was very impressive. The room was superb, especially the bathroom which comprised of a glass enclosure and marble effect throughout. The staff were very helpful and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The tram station was about a fifteen minute walk but a taxi was only €7 to Dundrum Shopping Centre.

Lovely hotel, excellent valueCustomer service fell down as, despite large signage for Continental breakfast at 7.95, I was charged full price and had to explain at length to reception why I felt a slice of toast and a coffee should not be 13.95.Room was noisy, sounded like a roofing sheet was being blown about.

The hotel is new with good sized rooms, very modern bathrooms, a good restaurant and interesting interior design features. There were not sufficient staff st the front desk and so service at check-in & check-out was slow.

Nice hotel, but wind noiseLovely hotel with top quality decor & service, but on the top (7th) floor the wind howled all night. Maybe it was just particularly windy that day? But I'll take a room on a lower floor next time.

This hotel was magnificent! It was beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly. The rooms were gorgeous and the beds were the most comfortable I had ever slept in!

Beacon Hotel - Funky, Fun and Fantastic Customer ServiceI booked this hotel not really knowing what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised by the decor, food and especially the customer service. All staff members we encountered were professional and went out of their way to be helpful with all requests. Our room was fab - at the top of the house on a corner with a wrap around balcony offering magnificient views of the cityscape at night and sea and mountain views by day. The bar was very lively and the cocktail selection awesome. The smoking area was excellent and one didn't feel like a social outcast lurking in doorways. Pity I only stayed one night but I will certainly return - it would be a great base if planning a trip to Dundrum shopping centre. Breakfast was sumptuous with lots of choice - berry smootie was especially nice, eggs cooked to order rather than lying around under heat lamps. Bathroom in room was well appointed but it seemed to take a while for the hot water to get through to our 7th floor room. All bed linen and towels/robes were of a very high quality (I even bought a robe). There was a bit of a shortage of car park spaces allocated to the hotel when we arrived but I believe there are others available on another level. The hotel is a bit far out of town for a city break but is ideal if you have a car at your disposal, also it is well served by the LUAS tram system. Good access from M50, location a bit remote if you want points of interest within walking distance. All told - a pleasant funky place to stay.

The hotel is exellent. The only problem I encountered is the poor lighting in the bedrooms, made it difficult for me to read.

This was a lovely hotel, so new and the room is really funky..so modern! Loved the hotel and would definately return. Ate in the bar that evening, service good and staff friendly and helpful.

Reception Staff exceptionally polite. Bar Staff polite also, only criticism, more staff needed late in the evening when the bar fills up. Check in/Check out hassle free. Restaurant staff pleasant.

Enjoyed the stay but check-out left a bad after-taste. The receptionist confirmed our extras orally, which we agreed were correct. Taking her word we checked the bill afterwards to find out we were over charged on the mini bar. As well as this, nowhere in the hotel does it say that *parking for guests is free*. We were about to pay 24euros until another guest informed us that reception validates the tickets!Slightly spoiled the weekend but rooms are very comfortable and stylish, decor is nice throughout the hotel.

Friendly staff. Light to low in corridoors. Lifts unneccessarily complicated (use of room card). No air conditioning. Party noise could be heard clearly from the ground floor until the early hours. Light switches next to the bed were too far away.

Hotel was ideally located for tram into Dublin and Dundrum shopping centre where we shopped, ate and went to the cinema one evening. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive and we had very good service in the bar for drinks and an evening meal.

Got an executive room. Really nice. Lovely bathroom. Not a huge room but good use of space. Nice TV and entertainment options. Room service not that expensive. Bar room serivce till pretty late which was cool. Good deal over all.

What a lovely surprise. This hotel is full of the unusual. Great decor exuding elegance and modernism. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Very efficient. Close to M50 and Dundrum Shopping Centre. Better directions on the website might help. We will be back.
