never stayed there...never got that far. The clerk who answered would not take my card over the phone. I wanted to send some relatives to the beach for a night. He said my story was shakey. Completely unprofessional in procedure. Most hotels have an authorization form that can be emailed or faxed for CC authorization. They need to catch up with the times. Definitely would not recommend to anyone unless you want to deal with "Snippy Joe" at the desk.

We checked this place out online, and were given a price, then when we called we were quoted another price, when we got there the price changed again, We were charged 10 dollars for a three month baby, and six year old child, the owners who are foreign live here with like 12 other people, they throw fits over having any visitors to your room, visitors cannot park in the lot, 1 car per room, visitors cannot swim in the nasty pool they keep locked from 7pm until 11am which is checkout time, all the soap, shampoo, shower curtain everything is stolen from other hotels, rooms are nasty, vines growing up all over the place, no telephone, remote doesn't work, no ice, no room service, owners can barely speak english, they stalk you, we had a friend over and we went out to get in pool, and the owners came running out and said you no pay, you no swim. when my friend picked up her vehicle from the public parking to put her beach chair and stuff in three men came running out behind her vehicle writing her tag # down to get her car towed off when it was only there for 5 mins.

My Husband and I stayed here in September for the weekend and had a Blast!! The Owner's were very friendly and never complained about me needing extra towels or anything else such as an earlier review stated. The room was small but charming, everything you need for a weekend get-away. This is definatley not a 5 star hotel but then again if it was it would cost a fortune!! I had read a review before my stay stating that the ceiling was falling through.. well nothing looked that way in my room. The only complaint I would have to give would be the shower, it had enough pressure, but it was rather hard to shave my legs because it was rather small :0) Other than that it was perfect. It was a 30 second walk to the Beach and there is a FANTASTIC resturant just a tiny walk down the road called A&G BBQ, I definatley recomend eating here as much as possible, for some "down home cooking."So for easy to please people who just want to have a great vacation! This is definately the place to go, and everyone likes to save some money on vacation right?! But for those of you who complain about every little thing because you're used to 5 star quality, don't even bother, you'll just make your selves and the wonderfull owner's miserable your entire stay.

My wife & I just returned from a much needed few days of relaxation and each other's company. While this hotel is far from a 4 star place, it is very cute, quaint and perfectly located to anything you need. You are across the street from A&G's BBQ which serves great breakfast. The Fat Pelican is a cool little hole in the wall bar within about 3 blocks that offers friendly service and cheap cold beer. And of course the hotel is just a few steps away from the beautiful NC Coast. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The TV gets all the cable channels you need but who needs to stay in the room anyway....you're at the beach. I didn't visit the pool but it was very clean and to get to it you have to walk thru this cute little garden that the owner's keep up. A mini fridge for cold beverage and a big bathroom is all you need. The water pressure could be stronger but it was very suitable. You can't beat the price when compared to the larger hotels along the beach so we will definitely be returning. Great place.

This hotel is truly disgusting. The blinds in the rooms are bent, brown from dirt and filth instead of white, the owner greeted us in a stained filled shirt, the window air conditioning units were almost falling out of the windows.

Showers are gross, everthing seems to have been lifted from other hotels, soap, shower curtains ect all had other names on them. Place needs a good scrubbing with some bleach and some 409 and then some painting done and it would be decent.
