THE SUNDOWNER RESTAURANT: Enjoy a relaxing evening meal while watching the spectacular sunset from the second floor overlooking the Negril shoreline. You will enjoy the "Taste of the Caribbean". All meals are served a la carte. A reservation made through the "Guest Relations Desk" is required. The restaurant is open for adults and children of all ages. Dress code - casually elegant (dress shorts, collared shirts and slacks allowed. No t-shirts, slippers or beach wear. Children can wear shorts, but no slippers). Open hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm and 9:30pm - 2:00am
VIDEO GAME CENTER: There is a state-of-the-art "Video Game Center" for the children in your party.
VISTA SUL MARE RESTAURANT: An attractive, comfortable and elegant air-conditioned setting, where you can enjoy Italian cuisine while viewing the famous Negril Beach. All meals are served a la carte, and a reservation through the Guest Relations desk is required. The restaurant is open for adults and children of all ages. Dress code - elegant (no shorts, t-shirts, slippers or beach wear/children can wear shorts, but no slippers).
WATER SKIING: Water skiing is available.
WATER SPORTS: A variety of watersports is available - snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, hobie cats and more.

This hotel needs some TLC. The rooms are not impressive for the rates being charged. They are piggy backing on the Beaches Negril facilities. Recently returned. Room phone does not work and was not resolved before I left. No iron was in room. Food was good but presentation could be better. Beaches Negril saved my vacation. Spa services at Beaches Negril was awesome.

Went with my wife, 2yo and 4yo. This was the perfect place for the kids. Peaceful, relaxing, great service, decent food. Went to Beaches Negril for a day, but it felt like we were inside disneyland, too many people. I think that would be better for tweens. Don't go if you don't have kids. Some couples were there and I could tell they weren't loving all the kids running around. Pools were small and not really usable. If you like pools, go to the Negril, they had a lazy river, two swim up bars and a waterslide. However the water in the pool was colder than the ocean. I much prefered the beach and ocean water. The rooms are not 5 star, nor big; but they keep it clean and comfortable and really we only spent as little time as possible in the rooms anyway. The great staff was what realy made the trip. They were all fabulous. Great drinks too, both for the adults and the kids.

This is my second trip to Beaches Sandy Bay only I stayed a week longer this time! My sister and I just LOVE this resort. We were treated wonderfully last year but being a returning guest this year, they really pulled out the stops. We had a chance to speak with the General Manager several times and found out this resort is scheduled for a remodel in the next couple of years--it needs it but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment of staying here. The rooms need to be updated--that's all. One of the returning guests complained that none of the highchairs had safety belts that worked and the next day the resort had all new highchairs! Very impressive. Wonderful staff, wonderful stay--incredible beach. It has ruined Hawaii for us. We will be going back!

The staff was superb,the food & drinks was great, the beach is absolutely fabulous! We got a special lobster dinner made just for us by the chef only because we complimented him on his food! The cookout on the beach was awesome. Toes in the sand and wine in hand, nothing better than that. There were many families with children, so it is not a honeymoon place. But there was plenty of room & sand & beach for all to have thier own 'space' . The rooms were small but clean & a bit noisy from adjoining rooms and the noisy street. The room we stayed in could use a few updates. No complaints though ! Will return ..

We vacationed with a group of 30 (a few kids included) for a destination wedding. It was absolutely perfect. EVERYONE had a great time. Great food. Great rooms. Great views (there are no gardenview rooms). Amazing service. Fun for the kids, and also the adults. Stay at one, play at two -- we traveled to Beaches Negril for the day and it was so big and so crowded -- it only reinforced our love for Beaches Sandy Bay. It is truly a rare find! Any video or virtual tour cannot do it justice.

this was our second trip to sandy bay. we are already planning our next. being able to visit beaches and sandals negril was a nice feature of which we took advanage of. this next trip will be our seventh to a sandals/beaches resort. we cannot say enough about them. all have been exceptionally clean and the employees have been the friendliest. my daughter-in-law has an allergy to wheat and the chefs have just been outstanding to make sure that she received the correct diet during our stay. he even made sure that she had cookies to go home with. there was a total of nine in our party and we are hoping for sixteen with our next trip. if you are looking for a smaller resort that has everything, this is it and with the added feature of being able to go to the other sandals resorts, it's great.

"Great resort for children and families. Average all around service. Beaches Negril offers many more activities, but Sandy Bay is more relaxed and less crowded. Beach is great. Rooms were small and nothing spectacular. Wouldn't upgrade though since very little time spent in room anyway. Food was average. Buffet selection needs improvement."

Both sets of grandparents and three year old twins. Not to crowded so it made it easy on the twins. At sandy bay never had to wait in a line. They treated us like royalty. We would take cereal and milk to our room nite before so we did not have to jump up and go to breakfast early. We will definatly go back

we have been at both beaches negril and sandy bay. sandy bay was a much more relaxing vacation and we are returning in feb. 2007
