Clean room. Plenty big enough. Coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave. Great shower with all the amenities: shampoo, lotion, dainty soaps. We had a very nice stay.

The Beachcomber is nicely located and has been newly renovated... fresh paint in and out, new bedding, showercurtains etc. However, I am not sure if I have ever been more grossed out in my life. Firstly it took approx. 25 min. to check in, the first room was smoking so we asked to be moved, the second room wasn't cleaned and was also smoking. The third room appeared to be clean. Honestly if I had the energy I should have just left and looked for a better place..... cleanliness is just essential and the Beachcomber FAILED big time. Don't stay here.

the location was perfect. I was only minutes from the beach and shopping centers.

I live less than an hour away so I did not wish to spend money for a 5 star hotel for just one night with the wife and kid. Nice location, less than 100' from the sea wall. Nice looking hotel when we drove in. Room was clean with a safe, mircowave, fridge, coffee maker, and a hair dryer. The fridge was a little loud but all I did was un plug it and slept sound as can be.

Nice, moderate motel. The staff was super, but the room wasn't spotless and there was that vague 'damp' smell that seems to go along with all beach hotels. This isn't a first-class property, but it was suitable for a weekend getaway. There wasn't much to breakfast, other than cereal, but it was name-brand cereal. The pool was tiny, and looked completely full with four kids and two adults in it.

My Mom, Niece and I checked into this hotel and was so dissappointed. Mold on the walls; in the bathroom which caused a smell; peeling paint on the walls-- was told over the phone upon reservation, that the hotel was very nice, recently renovated; and close to the beach. Liars!

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hotel although the room smelled a bit stuffy. The pool was small but very kid friendly. One minor complaint is that the staff was unwilling to work with me in securing an additional night's stay at the same rate. For the price, I would recommend this hotel.

Our stay was nice and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and although we didn't like paying a quarter for ice, we understand why. The outside is still being worked, but they were out there working the whole time...so I know it will look great very soon. The manager was very friendly and helpful with directions and a place to eat and the room was well cleaned. Nice new furniture and nice clean room...what a concept!

nice clean room, large comfortable bed. Waffle House right next door open 24 hrs. two blocks to the beach. Some noisy neighbors early in the morning woke us up, but didn't last long. overall we had a pleasant stay and would recommend.

This stay was a month after the devastation from Hurricane Ike in Galveston. The hotel had over a foot of standing water for several days and extensive repairs were made. We stayed on the bottom floor and the room had new carpet, new paint, new everything... All in all it was a pleasant stay. Glad to see Galveston opening up again.

The Beachcomber was a comfortable stay. We was close to the seawall with many sites to visit close by. There are many dining opportunities within walking distance or a short drive. There was a grocery store across the street for any needs that occur. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly.I would recommend this place to anyone for a warm, clean, friendly environment.

It is not that nice of a hotel, definatley would not bring my family there, but if your only looking for a place to crash after a late night then It is do able. Plus they have Waffle House right next door.

I thought the location of the Beachcomber Inn in Galveston was convenient to the beach. But, for the cost, I thought it should have had an oceanview. The hallway setup was a little bit scary. But, overall the room served its purpose.

Beachcomber very comfortable. Loved being very short walk to gulf coast, easy walking distance to essential shopping needs. Cant beat the price. No room internet connection. Accessible computer for use , very accomodating, in the lobby.

The beachcomber Inn was somewhat comfortable. First it was easy to get to it and frm there to go to the beach. The hotel does not have a large dining area, it has only a small space adjacent to the front desk. However the light breakfast and coffe was good. The air conditioning was noisy and I kept waking up every time it went on and off.
