Very friendly staff, good food, and great location on Seven Mile Beach. There is nothing fancy about this hotel, but you don't spend much time in your room anyway. Use the local bus service ($2.50/pp US) to get around the island. Snorkeling is great up at Cemetery Beach and off the beach from the Westin.

It was a good value for what we paid. The staff was friendly and helpfull to us. A special thanks to Glendy and the Bar and wait staff. They were excellent! The bad issues were the Cruise ship people hundreds came daily . Much to crowded for us.The food was above average with so so drinks. The rooms were a true 2 star and needed updateing and repair. The road was like the Datona speedway. No way to cross it but run! There is not much on Grand Cayman but crowds,if you are looking to relax skip the Island. If you want to vegg out on the hotel that is fine also as it is all inclusive. If this hotel resort was on a deserted or less built up strip or Island I would say fantastic but for the price I paid it was OK.

We chose the Beach Club because it was all-inclusive. When we added up all the costs we could have occurred from food and drinks, we saved loads of money. Probably about 2000 dollars. Seriously. It was a great place to have a honeymoon. With all the money we saved we were able to take a lot of tours and do tons of snorkeling. The place looks older but the staff are so wonderful. They will help you with anything you need! I love the fact that Beach Club has a sister hotel at Spanish Bay Reef Resort and that they will take you there for free and you can enjoy any of their amenities for free as well. It was nice to snorkel on the other side of the island and try different food and drinks. I would recommend, where else can you spend less than 3000 dollars for an island vacation that includes all drinks and food and even some water sports. Oh Yeah I forgot, Beach Club is partnered with Resort Sports so you can do whatever you want! Scuba, Catamaran Rides, Jet Ski, Snorkel, Glass Boat Rides, Kayak, I mean the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to go back. We made cool friends while we were there. If you take a tropicana tour (which we did several), ask for Rex he is the best! Hope you enjoy as much as we did. PS Don't feed the sharks!

The staff was great. We missed our connecting flight due to weather and when we called to tell them we would be late, she asked if we could just stay an extra day since we already paid for it. The food was much better than expected. It looks like this wonderful place has been sold and it will be torn down soon and turned into a high-priced condo place. Too bad. Get there while it is still there. Don't hold your breath for the swim-up bar.. It was there but hasn't been used as a bar for years. It is a short walk to the bar though.

Buffet breakfast was excellent. Lunch buffet wasn't too bad but it was nice to be able to order from the menu. Dinner was average. Staff was excellent. We were in a non-beach front room near the kitchen and other staff work area and it was noisy in the early morning and afternoon. Beach was crowded when cruise ships in port. Hotel guests always had own designated beach and restaurant areas. For the price, it was worth it.

Rumor has it that this hotel will no longer be around after mid 2009...but the location is excellent....staff is super friendly, and I would recommend this property to my friends and would probably stay here again since the price was so inexpensive...accommodations are no frills and very basic...shower was bad and that is really my only complaint...lack of water pressure...but everything was clean in the room just older and used...

The cruiseship crowd that floods the beach is annoying. No area for hotel guests and the trash left is ridiculous. Hotel presentation leaves a bit to be desired. Our room was clean and well kept by the staff. The wait staff also are very nice and accomodating. Bar staff were nice as well. Front desk helpful with our needs and questions. Food selection and quality could be better.

Beach Club Colony Resort is the only place to stay on the island! Very friendly accommodating staff. The food was outstanding!

The staff was very friendly and accomodating to every request. Food at breakfast (fruit, juice, french toast, pancakes, eggs) excellent. Lunch sandwiches, salads, burgers. Dinner choice of 3 entrees. Desserts were only fair. Rooms small but conveniently located to the beach. Part of the beach crowded when cruise ships in port, but hotel guest area remained uncrowded.

Hotel was exactly what we wanted, very laid back, good drinks and food. Great location and a great beach.

It is in a great location, room were clean and the food was not the greatest but was good. Being an all inclusive Hotel make The Beach Colony very attractive as the few times I ate at other resturants it was very expensive for the food and alcohol. Also I enjoyed the use of the Kayaks which was included in the price of the hotel. Also, has a dive center at the hotel and the dive trip I took was great. The only complaint is my cell phone didn't work on the island. I had several friends on the island, staying at other hotels and the only way they could get in touch with me was to leave messages at the front desk. I never received any messages.

"Not what you expect from the large AI's and we knew that. Some staff acted as if we were an imposition. If you don't mind very limited choices on food, it is OK. Our very polite 13 yr son was not treated nicely when asking for a soft drink. We sometimes felt we were bothering the employees and then remembered we were the guests. Grand Cayman Yes. Beach Club Colony, not again. "

Room was much smaller than i thought and pool area was not very nice. Bar was nice but when cruise ships came in those tourists were waited on before the actual guests at the hotel. Food was good but too much of the same thing every day got old.

"The Beach Club Colony is a fantastic place to spend your Grand Cayman nights. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the food is outstanding, the rooms are clean, and the view of the Caribbean Sea are breathtaking. The next time I visit Cayman, there is no doubt I will stay at The Beach Club Colony."

The Beach Club Colony hotel is suited for those on a budget and not looking for an upscale accomodation. I was extremely pleased with the room size and the location of the resort - it was literally right on the beach. The food was better than expected and the dining room was beach side, so the view was amazing. I'm not sure if I would return since overall i would rate this place average, the resort is very old and consisted of bungalows and these connecting winding paths. If you're looking to stay on the beach, have some drinks and relax, this is the place for you - plus its located in the middle of everything if you want to venture out to a local bar or restaurant. I would recommend this place for young singles/ young couples - not so much for families - we needed an iron one morning and they had lended all of them out, so that was upsetting. But for the price - its incredible! BUT please remember one thing - everything is on island time :) so get ready for super slow everything!

Stayed here for one night since our time share ended a day before our flight. My wife and I were looking for an all-inclusive, and this was the only place we could find. Room was nice, very comforable. We had a 2nd floor room overlooking the beach. Only complaint was the service at the bar. We were only there for one night, and the bartender was too busy speaking to his lady friend to notice when we needed a new drink. We where the only ones at the bar at the time and still had trouble getting served.

The Beach Club Colony Hotel brought one back to the feeling of what resorts were like 20 years ago. The rooms were attached cottages with wooden walkways set back off the beach. The pool was small and hardly ever used as most guests spent time on Seven Mile Beach which is very spread out and goes on forever. The dining area and lobby needed updates but the staff were very attentive. The meals were cleared quickly because if they were left on the table for more than a minute, the birds would be on your plate taking food. The location was good and there were lots of things to do and see off the hotel site.

The Beach Club Colony is exactly like the descriptions I read in other reviews...An older property with a great deal of charm and character! The rooms are adequate, especially when you consider the short amount of time spent in the room, when the beach is just steps away! The all-inclusive was an excellant value with very good food. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed meeting other guests as this is a very small, intimate hotel. We normally prefer newer facilities with more amenities, but this was a one of kind experience to savor the true Caribbean scene! We had a lovely time!!!
