After reading some other reviews I had been hesitant to stay at the Bayview on Park. But now I am glad I did. We had a premier room on the fourth floor with great views across Albert Park Lake to St Kilda beach. The room was a good size, clean and had very comfy beds. In my opinion these rooms adequately meet their 4-star rating. The buffet breakfast was good value. The outdoor pool area is great and the free parking is added incentive to stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful. While the hotel is showing some signs of age, paying just $125 for the room, we could not complain. We would happily stay again.

Under any other circumstances, if free parking wasn't next to impossible in Melbourne, I would've easily given this hotel a 3. We felt very fortunate that this place offered its own free parking structure for its guests. The Bayview is located off of Kings Hwy which is on Queens Rd. The exit is easy to find off the freeway, but it is a busier street and requires a quick left to get in. Upon check-in, my online reservation wasn't found. But they were able to give us a room after some time. The room itself could've used a dusting all over. I noticed dust along the mirror edges, even the toilet paper holder. We would sit on the bed after a longer day, & notice a dust poof in the air (w/ subsequent sneezing) often.Other services...we did ask the concierge for directions every now and then. We found their service was subpar and borderline unfriendly. They gave us the info that we needed, but otherwise gave us an impression that they'd rather be left alone.I'm not sure if I'd stay here again or not. If and when I come across another hotel that provides similar parking amenties and isn't too far from the city centre, it may be worthwhile to give that one a try.

A large and well-established hotel with excellent facilities but less than well maintained. We sought assistance in getting the air-conditioning checked while out for dinner. Nothing was done and it continued to blow stale, warm air all night. Sealed windows made for a very uncomfortable night. Two requests for assistance were acknowledged but carelessly ignored. Good hotel - rubbish experience.

Our stay was very pleasant, staff were helpful and curteous and our breakfast arrived on time and the order was correct. The room we were allocated also had a great view of Albert Park. Will definately keep in mind for our next Melbourne visit.

My husband and I had a few problems with the electrics in our room, but the staff attended to this very promptly and moved us, I could not fault them. Thank you Bay View in the Park.

The reception was very helpfull and with a very friendly approach Happy to keep our luggages for later collection kept and handed to us forgotten items in the room Location is a very beautifull area overlooking the Albert Park, and very easy to access by public transport. It's only 10 min. fron the city Centre.

I found the location exellent for my stay in Melbourne as I was attending a conference at the Sebel. The room had everything I needed.

If not wanting to be in the heart of Melbourne this hotel is very suitable. A short tram or taxi ride takes you to the city. If golfer the location is excellent as it is opposite a golf course.

This is the best Hotel Club hotel we have had the pleasure to stay at. The room was very good, the full breakfast was included in the tariff which is far superior to other hotels we have stayed at, and car parking was also included in the tariff. o get to the Melbourne CBD is very simple in trams on St Kilda road. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne under Hotel Club auspices.

Extremely happy with all aspects of my stay. I didn't get time to take a meal in the restaurant, however the full breakfast was of exceptional standard. Parking is available on-site at no additional charge, again an added value to my stay. of two nights. Very happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The premier twin room is fabulous. Ours overlooked the pool. The room service was delicious.

This hotel is in need of an update, it is very tired looking and old. However, the staff were helpful and friendly.

This is a tired, run-down hotel trying to pretend otherwise. Way over priced given the facilities and room furnishings.

Worst Room Service food I've ever had in this type of hotel. Expensive, overcooked, bland food. Very poor.

Please be aware that the matresses in the rooms are as hard as a rock. I had to take three days off work due to my back after staying there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that has back injuries or complaints as you will be looking at a flair up of symptoms.

My husband and I stayed in the Standard Queen Room. We would of spent more time in th eroom if it was bigger, I felt quite costraphobic. The air conditioning didn't seem to be working, and with no windows, you needed to get out to the fresh air. room could of done with a makeover, but you get what you pay for, We paid $225.00 for 2 nights, which I thought was a great deal, and very central to the city/trams etc.

I have stayed here several times and the service is always friendly and the rooms always clean. Stay away from the first and second floors if possible
