this place had a perfect location. the rooms were huge. they did need a little tlc but for the price i was not looking for luxury. the beds were really comfortable and very clean. the pier out back of this place was amazing. we would sit out there for hours picking on the guitar and singing. if you are looking for a cheap place to stay this is the place. [...] at the front counter was very nice and helpful. he knows alot about ft walton and destin. i will stay here again next year

I was little scared what our room would look like, because our rate was very low. But I was pleasantly surprised. Room was huge. Workers told us that rooms had reasently re-done. This was very nice stay. We will stay in this hotel on every visit!

the room smelled like cat urine the door did not shut or lock. i found spiders in the bed. when i took a shower there was no hot water and the water did not drain. everything was greasy and stained. when i went to check out there was a note on the door telling people to call the hotel next door.

The hotel was one of the cheapest in the area that I was able to find online. Had I known that the room would be as dirty as it was, I wouldnt have picked it. My fiance and I were on a budget and this was certainly cheap. When we first got there, I went to the bathroom to find some dark liquid in the toliet- along with the permanent ring (we poured bleach in it to try to get rid of it- it didnt work); There was bar of soap in the shower that wasnt ours, and a giant dead roach in the corner. I was scared to even think if the sheets were washed, but we slept in them anyway. We also didnt take showers even though we went to buy the bleach. You get what you pay for...There is a Quality Inn that is right beside there for about 3x's the price but it depends on how cheap you want to go.

Hotel desk staff was OK but the maid service didn't even coem in our room the first and third day so we just left and didn't even stay the last night.... the grounds were nice and the pool and the dock were a Plus but the room care should have been better...I don't mind reusing towels but we just didn't get cleaned regularly and th eplace wasn't that clean to begin with...it's a shame cause it is a great location
