moldy picture on the walls, eventually removed after repeated calls

Very nice person that checked us in. The smell. This hotel is great if you are not planning to hang around much. It is tucked away inbetween other hotels and there is no view to speak of.

April, 2009
The staff was very helpful. The breakfast had plenty of pastries but would like to see boiled eggs or some protein. It was across from the beach. The balconies are nothing to brag about. The small fridge, microwave, and coffee pot were useful. It was quiet with comfortable beds. I would stay there again. It was centrally located on the seawall but it is very difficult find especially in the dark. It is behind the Golden Corral.

Nice, clean and safe. A little hard to find - turn off Seawall between Golden Corral and Comfort Inn. Don't be put off by musty smell in hallway - rooms smell just fine. On the balcony you can see the water, if you stand by the railing. Our boys had fun feeding the seagulls that were hanging around under the balcony. Breakfast was TX waffles, pastries, French toast, fruit, coffee, milk, and juice.

My family had a 2 King bedroom on the first floor. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The only issue I had with the room was the curtains did not block out the light very well. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning which consisted of "make your own waffles", french toast, bagels, cereals etc. The food was fresh and tasty but there was always a line waiting to get to the waffle irons and toasters of which there were not enough. One of the toasters was frequently out of order and should have been replaced. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach (approximately 2 blocks to 61st and Seawall) and is located directly behind the Golden Corral. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and I would stay there again. I thought the price was very reasonable plus I saved money by using Orbitz discount code "Summervin" which saved us 15%. Thanks Orbitz!!!

The pool was really small. Just a nice hotel close to the beach.

We checked in early, and were told they gave us a "complimentary upgrade" to a room with larger beds. Our reserved room with a balcony now over looking the ocean, was now one without a view or balcony?? This was an upgrade??? The hotel itself was nice and comfortable, the bathroom shower, was however, filthy. It had soap scum all over the walls like they had never cleaned it. We called to ask for a late checkout, and the person who answered, had an accent, said 1 pm was fine. Then when we arrived back to get our things at 12:30, the manager denied answering the phone and okaying a late checkout for that time. Furthermore, when we explained that the person answering had an accent, and that perhaps it was another staff member, the manager argued with us that no one else could have possibly answered her phone. So..I guess that meant we were making it all up?? Bring your own towels, because using theres is like trying to dry off with cheap toilet paper. Also, don't plan on swimming too much..the pool is the size of a deck of cards, and it was NOT Crystal blue like the photo, not anywhere close. It looked like a lot of people, guests and otherwise, were free to access it.

My kids (ages 13, 9 and 5) and I stayed at the Baymont Inn for two nights in July. We were within walking distance to the beach, but chose to drive. There was plenty of parking along the seawall. The room was large and clean. It was nice to have a balcony but there was no view (except of the parking lot and other nearby motels!) The breakfast was good. The kids enjoyed making their own waffles. The pool and hot tub were clean and not overly crowded. One day my kids had the pool to themselves for over an hour. If you don't mind not being right on the beach, the Baymont Inn is a good value.

We stayed to have a free place to leave the car for a cruise. The hotel staff went above and beyond getting us Taxi's to get us to the port. Extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. Rooms were larger than average, and very nice. No bad things to say about this place

Swimming pool, computer room, location and very clean. Pleasant experience and loved the family friendly swimming pool and hot tub. I would certainly stay at that location again!

The room, rate, and location were OK, but the free breakfast was abysmal. Staff not available to replenish food and they ran out of essentially everything. The front desk said sorry, but nobody was available to take care of the breakfast area. I asked for a refund based on Baymont's satisfaction or "first night on us guarantee." They connected me by phone to the owner who said his hotel was not required to honor the guarantee and he refused to discuss a refund. I immediately called Baymont customer service, and they confirmed that the hotel was indeed required to honor the guarantee. The owner was rude and untruthful. I filed a complaint with Baymont customer service, and they promised to respond in three days. Heard nothing. Still trying to work with customer service, but I expect to have to withhold payment through my credit card in order to receive Baymont's guarantee. My advice, find another place to stay. I understand an occasional lapse in service, but the owner's response and behavior to the situation was rude and dishonest. We chose this hotel for its breakfast, but our family of four received no breakfast that day. Buyer beware.

Upon arrival, we discovered that the air conditioning did not work and the jacuzzi tub that was advertised with the single king bed was not available(though it was shown in pictures). The surrounding area was noisy (children playing, lots of bumping, etc.). It was my first time staying at this hotel (I usually stay at LaQuinta Inn and Suites) and I am seriously considering not using this hotel again.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice room. Both the pool and the hot tub were cold, lower level of hotel smelled a little like mold, although it appeared the carpet was being replaced. Nice hotel, good value.

To start when we checked in the female behind the desk was less that friendly. You are charged for your room at check-in. We decided to have them remove the charges from one card and put on another. When we returned home the credit was not on the first card. When the hotel was called they said it wouldn't credit back for 4 or 5 days. Didn't take that long to charge the card! Only thing on the breakfast was muffins and coffee at the time we were there. Upon check-out the young man behind the desk was polite.

We were just here for an overnight, arriving after a long hot day at the beach. Our (young adult) girls loved the warm cookies provided at the front desk. The room was clean, and in a quiet location, and the beds were very comfortable--all at a reasonable price for a resort area. I'd stay again.

hotel was great, did not have much of a ocean view though. i would give it a 4 1/2 stars just because of the no ocean view. rooms were great and staff very friendly, very upscale. the free breakfast every morning was also very nice
