Not sure what that other reviewer is talking about...did you stay at the same place we did? True, it is nothing fancy. We wanted a budget priced motel, but clean and with more amenities than a bottom of the line roadside motel. Also true there is no elevator, request a first floor room if that is an issue. Otherwise the staff was very friendly to us, our two young kids, even our dog. The room was clean and perfect for our family. The fridge and microwave was handy to make snacks or lunch. Even let us use the (more kid friendly) pool at another hotel just down the road and owned by the same group. Breakfast was also nothing fancy, but very nice (our 5 y.o. loved the waffles). On the west side of Madison, but just off the expy., we used it as a great home base for trips to campus (only about 15 mins. away) or up to the Wisconsin Dells/Devil's Lake area. We are already planning another trip back, and will stay here again.

it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in my whole life. It's not just old, it's dirty too. The hall way is filled with the smell of smoke. There is no elevator. The walls are thin, and you could hear everything going on around the room. The staff is not knowledgeable with the services they provide. The shuttle service is very disorganized. Worst of all, when the co-worker I traveled with asked the front desk to make a call to my room, they gave him my room key instead!! (without even asking for an ID, either!!!) Don't stay there if you have a choice.

Large rooms, good location. Breakfast was average at best. Promised room with two beds, turned out to be 1 bed plus fold out sofa.

I just needed a place to stay while traveling for work. It was the most comfortable bed I've slept in.

Was quiet and nice. The only thing I can think of to complain about is that the nearest ice machine wasn't working.

The breakfast was nice. I especially appreciated that there were hardboiled eggs on the buffet. We were comfortable and beds were okay.

While we were at the hotel, we enjoyed each others company, we snuggled and watched movies all day and night, when we first arrived on Friday, we just relaxed and went down to the pool then watched a movie afterwards, Saturday we slept in a little, then went out on the town, we went out to each later in the day, and saw a movie, the only bad part was that when we were going to go to the pool there had been a lot of kids in there, we would just rather it be us... nothing we can control though, then after that we went back up to the room and relaxed and watched movies again, The bed was very comfortable and soft to sleep in, Sunday we slept in a little later, then we got packed, went out to eat, then cuddled a little bit more, then we each left.

I loved how quiet it was. Never had to worry about waking up in the middle of the night to noise. The staff was very friendly, & rooms very clean. The location for us was pretty inconvenient.

I arrived tired from a long flight. The staff was understanding and sympathetic. My room was large, spotless and the beds were so comfortable. I did not take advantage of the free breakfast because I had to leave very early in the morning. The pool was large and enclosed in a solarium type room with a hot tub to boot!... There is also a nice bar. My only con (and it is not the hotel) is that it was about 30 minutes from the airport. Other than that, nothing but positive things to say. I had a great experience. The staff can be proud. It's really a nice place to stay. :-)

It was quiet and clean. Breakfast was adequate. Tight spaces in the room. Couch that pulled out was really close to bed. We were pleased by how quiet it was even though we were near the belt line. Room was clean. We were given only one bar of soap which we felt was inadequate. Pleased to have microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator

I liked the king suit we got to stay in. When we came back to the hotal our room was leaking so we got moved. It was a very clean and friendly hotel and in a nice location for us to find.

This was our first visit to Baymont Inn and we would definitely return. The staff was exceptional at check in, the King bed room was very roomy with in-room amenities that included a micro, fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer. The bathroom was very clean and the decor was pleasant. Although a bit difficult to find, the location provided a very quiet setting which gave a restful nights sleep. My only complaint was that in order to view the television from bed, it had to be turned almost a quarter turn because TV cabinet was not centered on the wall opposite the bed. All in all, I would highly recommend the Baymont Inn to anyone traveling to the Madison west area.

Easy check in and check out, directed to park very near our room. No negative comments. I appreciated the friendly check in and check out. The complimentary breakfast was good, efficient and plentiful. I'd return if I went to Madison again.
