It did seem clean. Before mentioned staff late and was brought in a Dept of Corrections vehicle.

The exterior of the building looks worn down. There were no tissues in the room. The beds were average and the bathroom was outdated.

We came to Birmingham for the Talladega Race in April from Phoenix. And for what all the other hotels were charging, we decided to just settle on driving (45 min) to the track and not pay 200 + for a room. Well, I assure you, we will look into others that are way closer and cleaner. Holes in the walls, coffee pot still full from last visitor, cigarette burns on the sheets, toilet broken, tv not mounted (safety hazard). Very small and never seemed cleaned like one should be. For this to be an Inn, I would say a sad motel at best! It shouldn't even be offered! P.S. If you like for your check out to be 8 am when you paid til 11, you will get your alarm!

Check in was great. That is all good I can say about motel. Ice machine was broken. No lamps would work in room. Mattress had a big hole in it. I slept with my arm and shoulder in hole. Very uncomfortable. Sheets were all flat sheets. No fitted sheets and when you moved the bed covers slid with you. Complained to night clerk when we checked out at 6:00 am and was told she did not know why we were put in this room it was normally reserved for drunks that didn't know any difference.

Staff, convenience to attractions. No complaints. I stayed here last year also to go to attractions. I will stay here again when I return to Birmingham.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
The staff was very nice to me. The breakfast was ok and they left it out longer than stated hours for us late folks. The place could be cleaner but overall it was clean enough. The beds need to be replaced since they are old and way worn out. I will stay here again due to the nice staff and great location.

I've stayed in all sorts of hotels all over the world, and this was perhaps the worst experience even compared to worse hotels. Finger nails (not mine) on the floor next to the bed. Internet was down, never came up. Called for a wake up call that never came. The next morning when I called the front desk I was told that if they are busy they can't make phone CALLS to rooms to wake people up. As I pulled in to check in (I moved to a different hotel after one night) a State van came a picked up an work furlough employee. If you're looking for a TERRIBLE hotel experience, this was it. Just DON'T...

This hotel was very nasty. The staff was very nice and the pool was very relaxing, though.
Date of Stay:

It smelled like mold. It was a disappointment. Every floor was out of drinks in the drink machine, The room smelled wet. Like there was a leak in there. It was convenient, but poor lighting outside.
Date of Stay:
January, 2008
The room was clean, but obviously not elegant for the price.
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
Very unclean, dirty, WiFi did not work. Will never return. If you're looking for a place to get a quick rest, this hotel will be sufficient. Beds were uncomfortable and there was dirt in the sheets.
Date of Stay:
December, 2006
We have stayed at other Baymont hotels and liked the service and rooms there. Price is not that expensive and you get plenty of services. The breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful.
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
Air conditioner didn't work. I would say it was just okay. I might stay there again but I would make sure I got a room where the air conditioner worked.
Date of Stay:
May, 2006
Enjoyable stay, made more enjoyable by the employees attitudes and helpfulness
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Just cheap beds were terrible.
Date of Stay:

Breakfast. No refrigerator or microwave. We stayed here last year and loved it. There are new owners who have downgraded it. Cable is shared, no refrigerator or microwave anymore.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Location. Older- could be upgraded. Conveniently located just a few miles to the Galleria, but no on site restaurant and limited choices in the immediate area if you don't want to drive. Rooms a bit dingy and could be upgraded.
Date of Stay:
November, 2005
"lots of problems w/keys, rooms very tiny, parking lot floods during rain, moldy smell in rooms"
Date of Stay:
September, 2008
Continental breakfast. Poor AC. Easy to get to; close dining.
