When we walked into our reserved room, we were greeted with the strong smell of cigarette smoke (we requested non-smoking) as well as warped carpet that was very wet. We quickly requested a different room, which was better in that it didn't smell smoky -- but the carpet in this room was also damp, though not as bad as the first. Bathroom was clean, so that was good, but water pressure wasn't as strong as most hotels we've been to. We were hoping for a better experience based on the high-rated reviews we had read beforehand, but unfortunately, this hotel didn't quite meet our satisfaction...and our standards weren't even all that high!

I made my selection before reading the reviews and was concerned. I had a wonderful stay. I called a day ahead to confirm my reservation. I arrived late and the same girl I confirmed my reservation with the day before checked me in. The room was great, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was nice and the location could not have been any better. All the comforts of home. The room rate was terrific. I will be travelling back to Davenport and this is where I will stay.

My family and i were on a vacation, and we wanted a place to sleep. when we walked in we were greeted by the lovely scent of cigars. the staff were rude and were more interested in their cell phones than us. the room we thought had green walls, but it was mold. the sheets had not been cleaned in a very long time. when we walking into the bathroom, someone had left a rotton muffin on the counter, and some rodents and bugs of various sorts were enjoying it. there was also vomit in the sink, and on the floor. the toilet had not been flushed in a long time, there were many......items in it. when the toliet was flushed the "items" leaked out from a crack in the toliet and onto the floor. after adding to the vomit in the sink, my children and i decided to (try) to sleep. the bed had bugs in it! we were so disgusted that we left immediately. do not go to this hotel!p.s. if u read all of this. i should inform u that this is 1000000000% fake fake fake.....but if u didn't this hotel lost some customers.

Front desk personnel answered my questions on local restaurants and actually drew me a map to find restaurant of my choice. Nice touch.

Very courteous staff. Headboard fell off wall. We had an issue the second to the last day. The headboard fell off onto the bed while we were at breakfast. The staff was extremely nice and put us in a different - better room for our trouble. It was very NICE of them. The staff at this hotel really take care of the guests.

The other reviews on here caused me to be very hesitant. I stayed at the Baymont in Davenport for two nights while attending a business conference at ECC. My room was very nice and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was nice with a waffle maker. I was very impressed with my stay and all for *per night. Either new management has taken over or the other reviewers on this site are willfully malicious or impossible to please.

We were traveling across country and stopped over for the bed and hot shower. Wouldn't stay there for a "vacation", or even extended business travel. However, the price was right and it was decent enough for a place to simply stay for the night and grab a muffin at the complimentary continental breakfast and get back on the road.

The bathroom sink drain smelled and we found dog food on the floor. The room had an unpleasant odor as well.

This place was a mess. Rooms were not very clean, smelled like stale smoke, our toilet leaked, not enough towels, and previous guests left items under bed. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone else.

The hotel is a little hard to find but the room was clean and we had plenty of space. The hotel staff provided good service, but they looked tired and their attitude was a little blah. The price was good, but the pool was down for repairs.

I loved the friendly staff. This hotel was great. We've stayed there before and we come back because the staff was always friendly, the rooms were perfect for us, the breakfast was great and the pool and jacuzzi were awesome.

This whole hotel smelled like cigarettes; even our non-smoking room! They ran out of pillows and towels when we were there. The continental breakfast was OK. Overall, I would have been better off sleeping in my car.

Great breakfast, pool and hot tub are nice. The two chairs in rooms were not very comfortable. Nice hotel in a easily accessible location. Pool and hot tub were nice and the breakfast was great with the area where you can make your own waffles. I would definitely stay there again.
