Our stay at Baymont was satisfactory. The room was average size and clean. The staff was friendly. It would have been nice to have a jacuzzi tub, pool or hot tub to relax a little after coming in from a long day. We did appreciate the small fridge and microwave in the room.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. There was also a little Tavern right next door that was great! Driveway was a little confusing to find. This hotel had a very friendly staff, the rate was good and the tavern right next door was a great place to relax after a hard days work. I will definitely be staying here next time I come to Grand Rapids.

The check in was very smooth and easy. The room was clean and fresh. It had a desk for working at the computer and even had an easy chair with ottoman for relaxing. Hotel was very conveniently located to several nice restaurants (within walking distance). Located close to expressway, but there was no noise from outside traffic. Would stay here again!!

Was very pleased with the room and the hotel in general. Would stay there again without question. Close to highway.

Overall, a good value. Staff was very friendly. For the price, you could not ask for much better accomodations.

Location worked well for our purposes. Staff was friendly. Breakfast foods offered did not include sugar free products for those on restricted diets. Otherwise, it was very good.

We stayed for our 33rd Anniversary weekend in August 2008, and it was nice. The service was nice and the employees were helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. Very Peaceful- Close to Everything- wasn't bad at all.

This was a very nice stay close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are very reasonably priced and newly renovated. Also we were not charged a fee for our pets.

The Baymont Inn in Grand Rapids was nice. The staff were very responsive but the hotel is lacking in many other services. The location is excellent with a wide range of restaurants in the immediate area. The rooms were small but adequate.

It was overall a nice place. There wasno hot water in my shower. My room had no hot water in the shower. When I arrived the poor night clerk was mopping up the lobby from a big water leak.

My daughter and I stayed at the Baymont motel after a late concert in Grand Rapids and we were very tired and happy that we did not have to drive 2 hours back home. Everything was very clean and very comfortable. It would have been nice, however, to have the breakfast extended one more hour as we were very tired and had trouble getting to the breakfast just before it was over.

I liked that the rooms were nicely furnished and clean. The walls were quite thin, so it was easy to hear what was going on outside the room.

Nice relatively new hotel, nice area close to interstate. Restaurants nearby. Free wireless. Large desks in room. You won't be dissapointed.

Reasonable and good continental breakfast. Though the room was technically a non-smoking room, it had a very strong smoke smell. Conveniently located, a reasonable place to stay and a good selection of items for the continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful regarding questions and current activities going on in the area.

It was across from my favorite shopping store. The beds were hard & uncomfortable. We were in pain when we woke up. It's a sub par hotel and they need to upgrade their beds, soundproof the walls and floors because you can here what's going on in the other rooms and hear people walking over your head. Also, the front desk had the TV on so loud that I had to go ask him to turn it down. We won't be staying there anymore. We lost much needed sleep!

Nice exercise room. Staff was on the phone when we checked out and didn't bother to put the phone down to help us. The hotel was just okay. Nothing spectacular. I thought the key to get into the room was a little ancient. Room was clean. Front desk people were nice but were not about to go out of their way to help someone. I do not feel when someone is checking out that the front desk person should be on the phone talking on a personal conversation and not have the class to at least put it down to help a customer. Parking lot could have been a little better as far as snow and ice. It was done but the entrance from the car to the door had a lot of ice and there was no salt to be seen.

Friendly and helpful staff. The weather! Wonderfully convenient. I had to call the hotel for directions late at night and the desk clerk was very helpful. The check in was painless, just a signature and I was checked in. The room was clean and arranged well. HVAC worked very great and the continental breakfast in the morning was everything we expected. Close to interstate and a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities. We'd stay here again anytime!

Free breakfast. Tobacco stench in hallway, broken TV, failing air conditioner. If you are looking for a place to crash for the night and your expectations aren't too high, the Bay Mont is for you. However, the persistent stench of cigars & cigarettes in the non-smoking hallway, the odd aroma in the room itself, the broken TV set and the wheezing, overtaxed ac unit keep this hotel from anything higher than 1-star status.
Date of Stay:
August, 2007
I personally liked the comfortable beds and the continental breakfast. I kind of didn't like the fact that there was no other light source other than the nightstand lamp. This hotel serves its purpose adequately for any travelers coming to or from Grand Rapids Intl. Airport at a reasonable price with excellent staff on hand.

Cleanliness and secure. Breakfast was slow if you wanted to use the toaster.
