hotel was very nice and welcoming staff was very friendly. hotel had nice pools and nice rooms. had own private beach on the bay for hotel customers. had very good food on site. would recommend for a nice relaxing getaway.

The pools and family activities. No cell phone service, no wireless internet connection in room. Wonderful resort a little far from beach front, but would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Bay Pointe Marriott for our anniversary. I called the conceirge twice to inquire about the amenities in the room & activities. I specifically requested and paid for a BAY FRONT ROOM with King bed. Upon check in I was told that I was "upgraded" to a 1 bedroom golf villa that was no where near the bay or a swimming pool. I explained that I made my reservation more than a month in advance. I was then told we "could have" a bay front with double beds. I reiterated my request and told that I would need to wait until 4pm to check in or they would call me on my cellphone. Well...my "Bay Front" room faced another building ! You had to stand on the Lanai and turn 90 degrees to view the bay ( through a bunch of trees ). The room was disgusting...mold growing on the grout in the shower, stains on the carpet, the furniture and fixtures were in very poor repair. Someone else even said that there was a hold in their wall....our room had a hole in the ceiling !!The "white sand beach" is a joke. Yes, the sand is white, but there is so much seaweed that kids will NOT go in the water. The pools were beautiful...especially those behing the Marriott timeshare. When I spoke with the conceirge they grossly over exaggerate the beach. I also asked about tennis. The courts looked nice, but at 10 per hour PER PERSON ( not court ) we decided against playing. After paying almost 150 for a nasty room, the lease they could have done is thrown in tennis. I was very disappointed and cannot believe this "resort" has the Marriott name on it.

Beautiful hotel at a glance. Too far from beach. Beautiful hotel.

Staff was very accomodating, rooms are clean, beds are heavenly 30 degree dinning was exceptional. Pools are beautiful and open all hrs. The boardwalk and remote beach is also just wonderful. there was a wedding at the facility during our stay but we wouldn't have known it utill we saw the brides maids in the elevator. The golf course was kept in excellent condition and wasn't crowded at all. I would highly recommend this resort for a weekend getaway.

This was our second visit to the Baypoint Marriott for a romantic anniversary week-end; however, I was not as impressed with this resort on this visit because our room although nice on the inside was a further distance to the pool, our balcony was facing another villas balconies and was too close for any type of privacy, and the condition of this particular building was more ran down. The pool / hot tub were over crowded and honestly the staff was friendly but did not go out of their way to make us feel welcome. I felt we could have stayed at a less expensive resort / hotel and had a lot better service / week-end.

Beautiful resort, nice pools, restaurants, & golf course. In Room Free WIFI would have been nice, but didn't mind paying $10.00 for Ethernet connection Marriott is top of the line. I have never had a bad stay at any Marriott.

The property was very nice! When I arrived to check in the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, and the airconditioner was on which made the room nice and cool upon my arrival from the heat I had just endured. The comfort of the bed was great and I almost spent my entire vacation in it. Overall, my experience with this Mariott property was absolutely fantastic.See you next year!

The grounds were beautiful and loved the free boat to Shell Island. The staff was very helpful. Our first room was an adjoining room with enough space under the door that we could hear the other occupants as if they were in our room even when they whispered.

Based on the reating of the hotel, we were expecting more. We were not in the main building which had been recently renovated & looked nice. Instead, the outlying building we were in was in need of repairs and finding a bug in the bed by my wife was very disappointing! There was a hole in the wall. Electrical outlet didn't work. And, there were gaps all around the entry door.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for your 5 year anniversary. We were VERY disappointed with the hotel. It was not worth the money we spent on it. We were told when we made our reservation that they would do something special for us for our anniversay, when we got in our room there was nothing special for us and the room was 80 degrees!!! Pools were dirty, hotel very outdated, had to beg for towels at the pool, overflowing trash cans. We have stayed with this hotel before and was pleased but will not stay again because of this experience! Go somewhere else!

The friendliness of the staff surpassed anything I have experienced at any other hotel. The view from the pool was amazing. It was a bit far from anything else. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they seemed genuinely committed to making our stay as enjoyable as possible. It was definitely geared toward golfing, but I felt it was fine for young kids. The hotel offers a private boat to the beach, which was wonderful. Beautiful location and wonderful staff.

Beautiful property with rooms in lots of smaller buildings. No breakfast included and breakfast at the restaurant is expensive.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous. Free WiFi only in the lobby. The staff were friendly, respectful, and helpful. The pools were clean and peaceful. The beach was absolutely perfect! We'll definitely be back again.

Shell Island Shuttle is awesome! Old television (Bulky not flat screen). Great location. Not like the rest of Panama city at all very clean and nice with private beach and dock on the bay. Restaurant is way over priced! Complimentary shuttle to Shell island is great.
