Worth tryingThe host is relaxed, accomodating and very friendly. The hotel is a mile or so from the town centre but there is a bus service if you don't want to walk. Free car parking is at the rear of the hotel and there is also parking on the side streets. The room was very clean and the hospitality even included mineral water!Good value for money.

Bay Lodge, EastbourneTypical B&B, clean, reasonable, but nothing special, although quite good value for money. Probably good location if your visit was for leisure purposes. Only real criticism was the mattress. It was so worn, that not only did it sag badly in the middle, but you could also feel the springs. For those, like me, who find it difficult to sleep when it is very light, the curtains let through a lot of light.

A relaxing stay made better by wonderful weatherThis is a nice, clean, welcoming guest house ideally situated for the sea front, local attractions, etc. The allocated parking at the rear of the premises is especially convenient rather than leave your car on the road.Only a couple of niggles - the bed mattress in our room had suffered from "fatigue" so we ended up in the middle of it and a bit cramped. It's a common problem that I really wish all hotels considered! The other was that I would have hoped for "proper" coffee but what we got was instant. Not too bad but as I live on the stuff it is nicer to have some good coffee in the morning.I would certainly recommend this guest house for families though. The room we stayed in had an adjoining smaller single room that would be great for kids.
