i would like it if there were some smoking rooms, there are still plenty of people who smoke & i wish more hotels remembered this fact, even if there were only a few rooms designated for this. we were there for a wedding and the whole hotel experience was good, loved the location was close to everything and staff was very nice and helpful

the review at on the Orbitz website said breakfast would include. So we went somewhere else to eat. other than that thae hotel was great small rooms not enough space. for the price. For 89.00$ i would expect the rooms to be bigger than they were.

We stayed here because it was relatively close to the event in Ocean Beach were going to, but the hotel is right across the street from Larry Flint's strip club!! Totally seedy stretch of town and probably not the best if you have children or if you are a group of gals trying to have a get away weekend!! Had I not been with my fiance I would have probably stayed elsewhere. The price was good--especially if you are like us and basically just sleep there and are gone most of the day doing other things. Rooms were really small but decent. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about but there was free parking and several covered spots.

There was some retaining wall renovations going on directly behind the hotel at a residence so there was jackhammers running constantly until dark!!! It was impossable to consult with the office the second day due to a ladder being placed infront of the entrance door. The hot tub was nice and warm and after the jack hammers & planes shut down for the night it was very quiet...

The Bay Inn and Suites was an average place to stay. A good bed for a night kind of place, but not a destination or long stay place. It's in an older commercial neighborhood with some seedy areas, but within walking distance of several casual dining establishments. It's close to the Airport and just a short drive away from the Mission Bay and Pacific Beach areas. The Bay Inn and Suites is suitable for the business traveler or a weekend visit to San Diego.
