Location Description:
This is a good product and offers excellent value for money.07/08 jg This is a purpose-built, modern building. This hotel is ideally located on Amsterdams ring road, off exit S111, and within walking distance to the metro, which takes 10 minutes to Central Station and 5 minutes to the RAI Congress Centre.
Dining:
The restaurant is on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby and is large and bright with a brasserie feel about it. It has an attractive and warm colour scheme with a red carpet, pale wooden tables, blue chairs and even a juke box. All meals are offered here including a hot buffet breakfast.

A nice, friendly atmosphere & the breakfast was nice. The hotel is next to the Metro(subway system) which is very nice however, it wasn't working during my stay.

The hotel and staff were excellent but the location was not the best. The hotel is situated on a highway which makes it difficult to walk anywhere out the hotel. There is nothing to do nearby.

If you want to get to center of amsterdam you'll have to walk 15-20min to the next trainstation + 10min trainride

The location is quite far from the train station. Breakfast is good and the room is clean.

the hotel was much beautiful one but the greater problems we have had them in catching up it. the map from you supplied was not at all very illustrated

Overall a very nice hotel, but not suitable for children unless you have a car as the only access is by crossing a busy main road, and there is no proper crossing point. The nearest Metro is ten minutes walk, and so could be an issue when it is raining or dark. The rooms are very good, and the staff friendly. Our only problem was that the room itself was hotter than hell, and once you opened the window, the noise from the motorway was unbearable, and the road was busy, even at 2 am and 3am. Breakfast was excellent as was the free wireless Internet access, and the PC provided in the restaurant area.

poorly trained staff, couldn't register our room key. Also we were charged twice to credit cards due to reception mix up. The hotel is poorly situated for access to the central city unless you have a car

Excellent hotel. The personel was very polite and the room had all the conforts. The only negative it that it is not close to city centre and not in inhabited location.

The only complaint I had with the Bastion Deluxe Hotel Amstel Amsterdam is that it advertised a hairdryer in the room and there was none. The man at the desk said he loaned it to one couple and they didn't bring it back. So I had to go with wet hair.

It was a good hotel to stay at for th amount that you pay for... decent room and location was about 15 mins out from city centre (easy to get in) n- very cheap for a 4 room . BUT our hotel was confirmed with hotel club, but the hotel did not know about it ? luckily a room was available and they put us in anyway.

Le petit dejeuner n'est pas compris dans le prix de la chambre comme indiqué sur le site, compter 8,50€ par personne pour un tres bon petit dejeuner, bacon, omelette, croissant, plusieurs type de pain, plusieurs jus de fruit ...

The map of the hotellocation was total wrong, our hotel was not in the Amsterdam-centrum, it was 5 km away! And we ask if breakfast is included, but we don't get any answer from Venere! (we have to pay 16 X 11 euro, surprise, surprise!-)

The price for the room was ok, but I had to pay 66 € for breakfast, what was not in the offer and also by the arrival they don't say anything about this price.

It was not possible to sleep at the first night. Unfortunately the other guests on the same floor were to loud. The employees were not able to clear the situation after the fist complaint.

The hotel is located a little bit outside of Amsterdam in a business park; not so many tourists there, mostly business people. The train station is within walking and the trains leave about every 10 mins, the cental station is only 5 stops away. The room was clean, there were the occasional noises from a train going buy but it wasn't really loud, it didn't bother us at all; besides that it was quiet in the hotel. If you're in Amsterdam for sightseeing and shopping, I would strongly recommend the Bastion Deluxe Hotel Amstel Amsterdam, unless you want to spend a fortune for a comparable hotel in the city. If you're in Amsterdam to party, you're young and adventurous, you should stay somewhere closer in town...you won't miss the comfort anyways after a long party night ;-)

The hotel was generally good but the place it is in, was not so good as I was expecting (there were many factories nearby).

I was very happy with the hotel although it was slightly further from the centre than I thought. The metro was excellent though and we used it every day of our stay. the hotel was very near the motorway which made it easy to access on the morning we left.
