Location Description:
Located about a 10 minute walk from the lively Place de la Bastille The bars and clubs of Rue de Lappe are just a short walk away as are several trendy boutiques and caf?s that have been opening over the past few years. The area does still have a bit of an up and coming feel to it and the rooms can be a bit on the small side, but if you're looking for a basic, friendly and cheap option then this hotel should fit the bill. within 20 minutes walk: Place de la Bastille, Opera Bastille, Port de l'Arsenal, Jardin des Plantes, Place des Vosges, Le Marais, Pere Lachaise Cimetery, Place de la Nation, Gare de Lyon.

Close to Bastille in a lively areaThe Hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Bastille in a very nice area close to a myriad of little bustling streets containing numerous, reasonably priced little bars and restaurants. The Hotel itself was very easy to find, has a very clean, modern interior and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was small but extremely clean with an en-suite bathroom containing a toilet, washbasin, power shower and plentiful supply of hot water. The room does have limited air conditioning but cool air can be easily obtained from opening the window. The hotel backs on to the side of a residential building and its garden. As a result, despite being in the centre of Paris, any noise from other streets and buildings is blocked out leaving us to feel we were in the middle of the countryside surrounded by wildlife. The breakfast was very extensive and there was a left luggage facility to leave our bags after we had checked out. I would heartily recommend this lovely hotel to everyone.

Good, clean, budget hotel option in the Bastille area, close to several metro stations. Many shops and restaurants in the area including a good patisserie next door.

A very good breakfast for France. Good location - 10 minutes walk to Bastille. Very small room (as always in Paris) and, unfortunately, the sould proof between the rooms was bad. We were also missing a common computer in the lobby, Anyhow, for those carrying their own laptop, the lobby has wifi.

It is not in the most salubrious of settings, but it is easy to walk the ten minutes to Bastille from the hotel and the area has a good amount of bars for young couples. I was with my 9 year old daughter for a five day trip and all we wanted was somewhere clean to rest our heads in the evening. Breakfast buffet was a real bonus and far better than the baguette and croissant that some other budget hotels offer.

It is a simple hotel ,but it was clean with a nice, decent size bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It is close to a subway station, but you need to learn how to use the subway in Paris to get to the touristy places. The neighborhood is good for young people with lots of cafes etc..

Friendly staff, good breakfast, small but clean rooms, near to SubWay and to bike rental. In the middle of Marais, near to restaurants and bars.

Poor, very small room, very dirty bathroom and carpet, noisy with limited selection for breakfast - staff were ok when we told them we would be checking out after 1 night (we had booked for 4) - given the price, stay somewhere else

Good value of a cheap hotel in an excellent location. The room was quite good. The bed comfortable. The breakfast was very poor. We would prefer to have eatten somewhere else and would recommend that visitors do not eat at the hotel.

I thought this hotel is located in the Marais, but its is kind of 20 min walking from the Marais. otherwise it´s a very good and clean hotel with great breakfasts! The only bad thing is that it´s kind of far from the metro station! it´s between Charonne and Bastille, I don´t recomend it if u are carrying a lot of luggage and using the metro.
