Great historical site, nice location, central Eureka. Restaurant experience was sub-par. The Basin Park is a great hotel, replete with history and panache. We had a great overall experience, although I cannot recommend the restaurant. I will dine elsewhere next time. That's a weak spot in an otherwise great experience!

We got a large, well lit suite with two AC window units (hello, built in 1905. Can't expect totally modern amenities here.) The front desk and shuttle were helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, triple sheeted with lots of down alternative pillows. The jacuzzi tub was a real treat after a long day of walking, and the food and drinks in the bar and restaurant were delicious and reasonably-priced. And the icing on the cake was a complementary massage in the day spa!

We were in Eureka Springs for a wedding Feb. 7, 2009, and spent two nights at the Basin Park Hotel. Our room was cold and drafty. We looked for a thermostat, but couldn't find one so apparently no heat. The lighting was poor with the best lights in the bathroom. But the sink and 9" x 12" mirror over it were in the other room! Imagine two adults trying to get ready for a wedding/reception! The alternative was a 3 ft. x 5 ft. mirror on another wall that would have taken a step ladder to use it. The front desk staff was very prompt when called at 2 am to quiet a noisy party in our hallway. The bellhop was courteous when helping with our bags. He also manned the shuttle to bring patrons to the hotel from the parking lot several streets away because there's no parking at the hotel. Overall we were very disappointed with our room and felt it wasn't worth the * per night charge.

Staff treated us like royalty! There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel! The staff was friendly and treated us like royalty. They were able to recommend restaurants and many different things to do in the immediate area. My husband and I will stay at this hotel from now on. We have stayed at more than 20 hotels in the Eureka Springs area and this one was by far the best. It definitely exceeded our expectations!

I was fearful that the rooms would be very small, but they are really very nice. It is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. The spa in the hotel is also wonderful.

The great location to everywhere. Parking down the hill. It was a great place to stay. A great location for any place you wanted to be at in Eureka Springs. The room was large and modestly furnished. If you enjoy the unique, comfortable yet historic its a great place to be.

"The parking lot is about 3 blocks away but the shuttle runs from 9am-10pm 7 days a week and only takes a few minutes. The staff is cordial and the food in the hotel's lounge is fantastic and well-priced, offering room service at no extra charge. Huge bathrooms and a great visitors video on channel 96. Reasonable rates with travel agency card. Amusing ghost tours on Fri and Sat nights. Extremely convenient shopping. Quiet rooms."
