The 700 acres of Basin Harbor with over a mile of shoreline on Lake Champlain contain a main lodge, three smaller lodges, 77 distinctive studio to three-bedroom cottages, three restaurants featuring eclectic cuisine and weekly outdoor dinners, cocktail bars, conference facilities to accommodate groups up to 280 guests, an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, resort shops, an outdoor, heated Olympic-sized pool, a grass airstrip, boating activities and daily narrated cruises, a fitness center and spa services, extensive gardens, a comprehensive program for children as well as proximity to the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. The property is an Audubon Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary and watchable wildlife abound. Basin Harbor Club is pet friendly. Pennie and Bob Beach, siblings, are the 4th generation of hosts maintaining the Beach Family tradition of hospitality since 1886. Located along the shore of Lake Champlain and surrounded by rural farmland, Basin Harbor has spectacular, unspoiled views of the lake against a backdrop of the Adirondack peaks of New York to the west and the Green Mountains of Vermont to the east. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 11am. A Visa or MasterCard is required at check-in. Please note, there is a 5 percent service fee to be charged at check-in.

What are your breakfast options?: We offer either a buffet or off the menu for breakfast. It is served from 7:00 am until 10:00am.
What transport is available to get around?: We work with a taxi service, arrangements are made through our concierge. There is a local ferry that runs continuously to Crown Point NY, located where the Champlain bridge was. There is also a Charlotte ferry that crosses to Essex NY. There is an Amtrak station located in Port Henry NY,and Essex Junction VT. There is a Greyhound bus station located in Burlington, VT, as well as Rutland VT.
What can I do nearby?: On property we have golf, tennis, bike and boat rentals, swimming, hiking trails, a fitness center and a variety of classes, and programmed activities. The VT Teddy Bear Factory, Shelburne Farms, and Shelburne Museum are about 30 minutes away. Several antique stores are in the local area. There are a variety of shopping centers in both Burlington 45 minutes away, and Middlebury 25 minutes away. The Ben and Jerry's factory tour would be about an hour away.
