Customer service above all otherThe hotel is a little dated in comparison to todays modern hotels but I would not let that be of any concern, all our needs were catered for. Upon arrival there was a problem with the room but the way the issue was dealt with was excellent, some of the best customer service I have come across. Nothing was to much trouble and we will happily return there again. Many thanks to the manager Richard and his staff who ensured our stay with them was a pleasant one.

Hotel is in a excellent location, 5 min walk to town and beaches, very pleased with the choice, got a really good deal from Late Rooms, will definitely go back again.

Barrowfield Hotel during the Run to the Sun Weekend 2009The hotel was excellent, lovely room and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The indoor swimming pool was really clean. Couldn't fault it anywhere.

Dated but fairly pricedOur booking was reasonably cheap, so we didn't expect much. Cleanliness and service was very good, but overall the hotel and room was is very dated and had seen better years. For the market it caters for (senior citzens coach trips) I imagine it to be perfect, I expect younger clients would want a more modern hotel.

The customer service when walking into the hotel was poor straight away! They were not talkative just seemed to want to get you away as soon as possible.

The impression from the start that everyone in the hotel were really friendly and happy to help with any request. This stayed consistent for the whole of our stay and I would be happy to stay there again. Even the other guests seemed very friendly. For the price it was above my expectation! The food and service was excellent and the location perfect!

There are only a limited number of free parking spaces at the front of the hotel. There is a car park next to the hotel, but you have to pay. When we arrived at our room, we discovered a wall adjacent to our bed, and the tv was on the other side of the wall! Impossible to watch whilst chilling out. However there was the option of using the tiny stool and chair to sit on to watch it. We found the room not to be very clean, especially in the bathroom. When we went to leave the room, we had great difficulty in locking our door. We were not told on arrival, we had to lock it from the inside.There are set meal times! Breakfast is at 0830! No lie in for us. Dinner was at 1830. We found the food very nice to eat, and the menu options very good. However found the restaurant staff not to be very considerate and rude. Our waitress seemed to be quite new in the job. The restaurant manager kept coming over to her asking if she was ok, and when she did things wrong, told her off in front of everyone, in a very unprofessional manner. We also werent expecting to order what we wanted for dinner, at breakfast.Very disappointed with our stay, wouldnt rate the hotel 3 star, more like 2 star.
