We had a great stay . All staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and roomy . The view was great. The only thing missing was someone to watch the kids

First time at Virginia Beach. Wasn't bad. Location was good. Affordable. Pretty clean. Good restaurant across the street called "Planet Pizza" which had a variety of choices. Pool wasn't that great -kinda small and crowded. Continental breakfast- nice, with a choice of eating it indoor or outdoor. Staff pleasant. (Aquarium was nice for a rainy day.)

The only thing that was bad about this trip was the weather. 4 days and only one day with sun. The hotel was amazing. A nice 90+ degree heated pool with a hot tub and a fitness room. Every room is a suite and has a great view of Virginia Beach. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful whenever possible. The continental breakfast was was okay, considering the hotel expected a little more. All and all, a great hotel for an amazing price.

We have stayed in Virigina Beach each year for over 20 years. This was our first stay at Barclay Towers. The rate we received from the online travel website was the best rate we ever received in our 20 years of traveling to Virigina Beach. The king size bed gave us the best night sleep we ever had while on vacation. Everything was a step above all other hotel's we have stayed in over the years, and beleive me we have stayed in about 12 different hotel's over the past 20 years in Virigina Beach. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Larry & Ivy Faust

Our room was not clean. There were rings from glasses or cups on the coffee table which indicated that it was not touched after the previous guests. There were bits of food on the refrigerator and stove. The table on the balcony had coffee spilled on it. The chairs on the balcony were so dirty that we didn't sit on them without first putting down towels. The bathroom seemed OK, but we cleaned it anyway based the appearance of the rest of the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. There were 2 children in the room next to us and we didn't hear them even once. The way the hotel is layed out, we didn't hear street noise or the sound of the daily tractor cleaning the beach. (Although, we were on the 7th floor.) The breakfast was fine - bagels, pastry, yogurt, cereal, oranges, apples, juice, milk and coffee. The staff was VERY friendly, especially the front desk staff. Stay away from the people who call themselves 'concierge'! It's just a ploy to try to sell time shares! We were very annoyed that every time we approched the area, we were 'attacked' by them - even when we were on our way to and from the beach when we were loaded down with beach items-very irritating! They try to lure you with the offer of coupons & discounts, but the coupon books that they have are available on every street corner! BEWARE!!

The comfy king size bed had 4 big pillows (with 2 more in the closet for the sofabed which we did not use). Tub looked new, fresh paint and paper throughout. We were on the 5th floor and never had to wait more than a few seconds for an elevator. The pool was heated as advertised. Only complaint was that the air conditioning unit in the wall was somewhat loud during the night. The sauna was out of order, but we would not have used it anyway

If housekeeping, cleanliness and general maintenance of a property are important to you, do not stay here. We had ants in the room and no housekeeping service in a 3-night stay. We had to request towels nightly. Had to leave trash outside in the hallway because no one serviced the room. I don't understand how they can operate like that with a full kitchen in the room--people bring food and have no way to vacuum up crumbs. No wonder there are ants. The carpet was replaced badly in the room, leaving open staples in the floor that poked bare feet. Microwave in room was out of order. Hotel hot tub was also out of order. Elevators are slow and dirty. Indoor pool deck was "slimy". Continental breakfast was not worth the trip downstairs--you'd be better off with your own Pop-Tarts and bagels. Parking was sparse with an overflow garage across the busiest street in town. The entry/exit of which must have been designed by someone who must have wanted to cause as many accidents and pedestrian maimings as possible. Staff generally has a lackadaiscial attitude. Housekeeper on our floor spent most of her time chatting on the cell phone in the corridor, even early in the morning when people were likely to be sleeping. The location is great, but it doesn't make up for the other annoyances.

Went to Va.Beach for a New Kids concert, having drove in from Atlanta. EVERYTHING was amazing, I checked in at around 1 PM, NO problem. The parking is not great, but there's a WONDERFUL trolley system I took advantage of after getting a space which my car took a vacation in! I highly recommend Seafood Harbor located at 3208 Atlantic, GREAT service!!! I loved everything about the trip that I stayed an extra day! I didn't wanna go home! They had Bath & Body Works items in the bathroom, THAT was surprising even to B&Body Works! The Kitchenette has plates, cups, etc. I even joked about baking a cake there! The view is OMG amazing! The views at sunset & sunrise...UNBEATABLE! I never even found the sauna, too much to do already! I do wanna let people know the door leading to the beach is locked at 11 PM. There is an alleyway between the buildings, so it was not bad, but if you are skittish of alleys (which this one was VERY clear), the closest walkway around is I think a block away, UNSURE, because I literally said what the heck, put the flip flops on & walked through the alley. Anyway, GREAT TIME!!! ENJOY your stay if you choose this hotel! They go above & beyond the call of duty!!!

We had ants in the room. Ants got in my laptop. The carpet has been replaced badly, meaning there are sharp edges still sticking out that catch your feet if you happen to walk around barefoot. Regular bed is okay but the pull-out sofa is way lumpy & saggy. There is an indoor pool, but the deck area is slimy & dirty. The hot tub is out of service. The free continental breakfast is not worth what you pay for it. Parking is sparse. There is a parking garage across Atlantic Avenue, but it is a bit of a pain to have to walk the kids across the busiest street in town, with no traffic light, a couple of times a day. Housekeeping here is absolutely horrible. No wonder there are ants. The second day of our stay, they did not even bother to clean the room at all. Third day, they just gave us fresh towels and took out the trash--no vaccuming, no new toilet paper, nothing. On the plus side: It's all-suite, it has a mini kitchen, and it's beach-front. I will not stay again.

For a low price, you get a basic breakfast and a large suite with a view of the ocean. The location is great. You'll get a fridge, a kitchenette and a good amount of space. However, the room was rather dingy and outdated. You may have cause for concern when it comes to the room's cleanliness. The concierge--you WILL have to speak to the concierge--is friendly largely because he/she will want you to visit a time-share property down the road. Overall, much better than your typical low-end motel but probably not as nice as the mid-level chains. If you accept this going in, you'll love the extra space and the great beachfront views from the balcony.

Check in was a breeze, the front desk staff was great. The whole five days was just great other than a lamp issue which was never fixed, the rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the location was great, we had no problem finding our way around anything you wanted was in walking distance. Thank you for making our VB experience a good one. I'am sure we'll stay again.

The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was clean enough, and really what we expected for the price. The only issue was no outdoor pool, but I should have checked that and not assumed there would be one.

thought this motel was great! the room was very nice. the front desk people were very friendly. the view from the room balcony was awesome. we didn't use the pool, so can't tell you what that was like, but the rest on the place was great! had our own kitchen, saved alot on dining out. small appliances worked great, bed was comfortable, didn't use the sofa bed so no opinion on that, was comfortable as a couch. walked to alot of shops. everything very close. and if you are a pizza lover, pizza shop right across the street that makes a great pizza. loved the whole weekend, can't wait to go again and am hoping this hotel will have an opening for us.
