Any picture must have been taken at another hotel. The rooms are half of what was displayed in the photo. This hotel should be rated a one star at best. What a dump. They charge $5.45 for continental breakfast, cold stuff and a toster. Woodwork is well worn, carpets too. Window was the louvered type with a broken latch. Sink and tub stoppers were loose rubber plugs. One blanket, hope it is enough. No elevator. This is an old hotel in need of remodeling!

Very basic hotel, good for somewhere to crash. First room we got was small the second was better. Their breakfast is ok. Nothing too special. Front desk were friendly enough.

We were very happy with our stay at the Barclay. Great comfy beds and big rooms and fantastic location. A wee bit hot from the radiators but it was -17 degrees outside, so no complaining. Good value breakfast. I would definatly stay there again and recommend to everyone.

Very clean, helpful staff. Continental Breakfast for $5.24 incl tax - muffins, waffles, pancakes, cereal, coffee, tea, juice. We were upgraded to a dual room. Perfect location, would stay again if visiting Vancouver again.

1. There was a fairly strong odour of cigarette smoke in the main floor hallway - unpleasant. 2. No parking available at the hotel, although there was parking offered at another hotel a half block away for $10/night. 3. A sign in the bathroom instructed me to hang towels if I didn't want them washed, primarily to save water, energy, etc. Despite hanging them, they were washed anyway. 4. The television was small (14") and was situated inconveniently in the room. 5. I found the economic value good. Would probably return.

very central. old hotel, but as clean as it is possible considering its age. good value if you are just going to use it to sleep in, as not many extras. would stay again

Location and hotel were very decent. The only con was that the price was rather steep for what I got.

Laundry facilities on site would have been appreciated

Our room was huge, and unexpectedly came with a separate large lounge. Decor is a bit tired, and facilities are limited, but its priced accordingly. A very easy walk Downtown and to CoalHarbour, where the seaplanes take off, so excellent location. Overall, not special, but a fine place to sleep for a weekend in Vancouver.

Was delightfully surprised at the size of the rooms, it was more like a suite than a hotel room. For the price, I would definitely stay here again. The area was great too, 5 block walk to English Bay.

Old fashioned hotel but very good location on Robson St. Two-bed room I stayed was large but no special facility or service. Reasonable cheap price

An older hotel (unrefurbished) in a fantastic location - Robson Street. Friendly, helpful staff. I was expecting it to be quite noisy considering it's central location, but it was much better than expected. Fantstic value for money when compared with other hotels in the same area of town.
