Four of us girls went June 20th. We had a great time..the staff was very friendly, especially our waiter jorge. The food in the sit down restaurants was very good. Breakfast buffet was very good and the lunch buffet was usual buffet style. We preferred the sit down restaurant for dinner. More than one pool definitly is better. And the beaches definitly are more washed away than last time I went to Cancun, obviously this isn't the hotel's fault. We went for a walk up and down the beach and realized our beach was one of the better ones. Some beaches had big boulders and we didn't. I would recomend this hotel!

Fun activities, great location, variety of food choices. The air conditioner ran a lot but the room never got cooler. The hotel and staff were very nice and the activity pool was fun. The pool layout was awesome and but got shaded after lunch. There were several good choices at dinner and liked that they stocked the fridge with drinks daily.

My husband and I went to Cancun to relax for the week and were able to do that at Barcelo. The food was good, not great, although a large variety to choose from. The staff was very friendly and did cater to us. The hotel did keep calling us every day to take advantage of there welcome package which involved going to another hotel for breakfast. Thank God we said no, come to find out it was a few hour time share presentation. The room was nice....mixed drinks very weak.

the experience was great, the staff was very attentive to our needs and comfort. the apperance of the hotel was excellent and the room was a pleasant stay. the only small issue seemed to be the water in the shower changed from very hot to very cold....otherwise, everything was great! i would definitely stay there again.

This was a great vacation for my family. The resort is in a great location lots of things to do within walking distance. The staff was very freindly. The two things we did not like about the resort was, the bar staff was very limited it took a long time to get a drink and the hallways to the rooms were very loud. You could here every door slamming in the night so we did not sleep very well. There also is not alot to do for older kids. You definatly want to get with a travel agent to book trips away for the hotel. I recomend swiming with the Dolphins and while you are there enjoy the water park. If you like to party, you have to go to Senor Frogs and Carlos and Charlies, they are in walking distance from the Party Zone. Take lots of cash for tips the more you give the better your drinks are. Also do not expect to check in early they will not let you.

Went with a friend, needed some time to relax and enjoy a few nice activities . Very little entertainment at night. Foos is average. Lunch menu always the same. Consist of hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. And let us not forget the evening before leftovers. After a week of the same buffet for lunch, it`s gets kinda not too appetizing. Night buffets were slighly variable but not that much. Not much of a beach! Rooms were fine, staff very friendly. Would not go back and would not recommend to a friend.

Excellent location, great food and drinks and plenty of activities and entertainment. The entire staff were very professional and eager to please. Beds could be a bit more comfortable, but aside from that, wonderful accomodations. And three pools. Hard to beat for the price. One of the cheaper all inclusive resorts in Cancun.

Food was average but expected to be that way...just were ok had tons of them but seemed like there was no alcohol in them...overall the pool was great sometimes not very refreshing though...but beautiful area/

I went there for the 1st time and I really liked it. It was a nice hotel and we had an ocean view, we got a free upgrade but it would be worth it even if we had to pay. Food was pretty good, nice staff. I would stay at Barcelo Tucancun again.

Would not stay here again! Lies-Stretch the truth on their website on what they provide. They will restock of mini-bar if you ask 3 times (each day). As for activities, they don't have equipment but they will assist you in setting up activity tours (you pay for) and encourage you to go away all day. Four restaurants, but they are not all open each day. They pounce on you as you arrive, unfortunately not to be helpful, but to set you up to go for an all-day "time-share" lecture. Seriously... it's vacation and it's all inclusive. I wanted to relax, eat at the resort and have activies, NOT be pushed away. If you need concierge assistance, you must see the representative of your booking agency. You will not be helped.

While in cancun we did a little of everything. We enjoyed the pools, there was a good variety. We also went to the ocean, although the beach was very small, it was very beautiful. The sand is wonderful and the water was perfect!

My family and I stayed for our vacation. We are from Chicago. We had a fantastic time! The hotel staff was outstanding. They were extremly curteous and always willing to help with anything we needed. Food was good. The rooms were amazing! The whole experience was absolutely amazing. I have been to Cancun 2 other times and have always stayed in a different Resort and they have always seem to exceed my expecations and this time topped them all. We can't wait to go back again! I will only stay here! Oh I have to tell you the beds are so comfortable that I have never had and no other problems like hot water etc... Great resort for kids and family! Great shows and location.

The hotel was perfect. Ive been there 3 times and i would always go back again!!! The staff was great. Great service and the all inclusive was amazing. The bad things was that the drinks were water down.

I would definetely stay here again! I went for my honeymoon and they took such good care of us, and it rained the entire time in Cancun we were there but some how the hotel kept us entertained with games, shows, and many other things. The staff is very nice! especially the gentleman from Scottland, he helped us out alot! I also recommend the on site photographer, Some of the best photos ever taken of us were from him! Great place and I highly recommend it to anyone.

this was the second time we used this hotel. last year it wasn't bad for the price. this year it went downhill. there are many other hotels around. i suggest going to one of them. the rooms are not very clean. the food has no variety. they advertise 4 rest. but not all are available . the air conditioning did not work and the shower alternated every 30 seconds from scalding hot to freezing cold.the outside was well kept and the beach is beautiful so i do recommend cancun but i would look for one of the many hotels other than this one.

as indicated our plans were changed at the last minute to stay at the Costa Cancun, a sister hotel. It was great! The buffet was not to good but everything else made up for that. My wife and I took six high school grads and I think they will remember the trip for a long time. i would go back next week if i could!

This hotel is closed! It has been closed since the beginning of May, however we were not notified. Unable to rate hotel because we were not able to stay there. We were put up in their sister hotel. Caution, there are other hotels closed in this area right now.

stayed and had a blast we arrived and had paid for 2 rooms but got switched to a villa. loved it. we were sucluded from everyone one the end ocean front. lots of room. amazing views from the terrace. went on a jungle tour and zip line. went snorkling and underwater sub and shopping. the staff was very friendly. good food. the best tip would be take the bus. its cheap, 65 cents. anyway, we celebrated our daughters 18th birthday and graduation. best vacation ever.
