The Capella hotel has very good food. They couldn't find me on the guest list. I got there at 3pm there were 2 guest in front of me. My name was not on the list. 3hour and half later after going up and down talking to different agents, they told I would have to pay for my child who's 6 years old. $26.00 per day for the child.

I was here on the weekend of October 23 to 26, to tell you I was a bit worried by all the negative comments I read before arriving but I said what the hell. Anyway when me and my girl arrived there the welcome was very ok bellmen were very friendly and helpful especially with the parking whch is free but there is minimal, it was quiet in the restaurants until the dominicans arrived for their weekend stay which added a bit of life and some more girls to look at (lol) the place was in good shape except the building I was in could use a little touch up paint in a couple areas, the food was good too drinks as well, the complainers if you want an expensive hotel go find one this place is for us who want some fun and enjoyment, I will visit again and again.

this is a disgusting resort that deserves 1 star only because it is in the caribe! staff is rude and unhelpful even if you speak spanish, food is bad:selection and quality, rooms are moldy and unsecure (just push and they open), advertises jacuzzi- if you only like cold water! beach is weedy and rocky, pool is ok. no atm on site, don't waste your time nor money! will never go back! i hope you look elsewhere because i am saying it the way it really is!

Nothing. The service was horrendous. I had stayed at this hotel 4 yrs ago and I liked it, it was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. But when I returned last weekend (3/14/09-3/16/09) I had the worst experience of my life. The staff was very nasty and rude. I was put in a room that accommodated two when my party consisted of three, the television didn't work, there was no cable, no control for the television, no hot water in the bathroom to shower and my air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. I would never stay at this hotel again and I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy. Besides the horrible service there is no security at the entrance of this hotel and it is not in the safest place of town.

not a boring place if you like the noise, i like fun and like to hear music and dance. the stage show is excellent different every day, food is very good and service in the dining room was excellent. however room service was slow. bathroom needs to be upgraded. people was very nice. if you leave hotel area go with someone who lives there. was lucky at the casino but it was not part of hotel. 3 complaints no atm machine at the hotel and beach needed to be cleaner to swim (remove the weed) also pool is beautiful but too cold to swim in( pool needs heater) especially in the hot tub. do not mind the natives in the weekends it made the place more fun. the phrase you get what you paid for is exactly. had a wonderful 12 days stay and will return.

The staff was very firendly and helpful. We had to change rooms because the first one was totally unacceptable. Though the staff was wonderful, the cleanliness could be much improved and there should have been more rooms placed away from the noise of the disco.

The beach was clean. The shower did not work properly. The food was the same everyday, the cleaning staff was slow to clean rooms and the evening activity was no good. Nothing for children’s.

The management of this hotel has made so many cut backs that they cannot function as promised. had to beg the maids to make up the room she never filled the mini bar 9 2cokes and 2 waters we where told that we could only have one, the food was very poor and the same every day,the return taxi that was prepaid nevershowed up and the staff would not call for us, had to pay to use the capella to see how a dominican hotel is supposed to be, ate out every night, beach o.k. but dirty all in all very disapointed.

The staff at this resort was excellent. They attended to our ever need. Weekend local dominican occupancy. This is our Sixth trip to the area and will continue to return for the rest and relaxation we deserve. We have a beer taste on a beer budget. Keep it simple.

It is a fine hotel. The bathroom in the room needs repair, and the music at the nightclub is the same every night. They need to pay attention at the bathrooms that keep leaking water and are rusty. Also the DJ at the night club plays only the same boring music every night.

I like this hotel because it is adequate and it is close to the airport as well as convenient to 2 good, inexpensive golf courses. The food is Ok but not great. All inclusive hotel with clean, adequate rooms, decent but not great food and drinks and location convenient to airport and nearby golf courses.

The staff was wonderful! The fitness center needs to be improved significantly! The staff was delightful and extremely helpful, and the setting for the resort was gorgeous. The food was unique to the D-R and a true delight!

The pools/beach was wonderful -- and the food was great! The rooms were shabby and not so clean, and someone stole my camera from my room.

Nothing. The staff should be better trained to be more courteous. The food tasted terrible and the menu needs to be better. Overall, none of us were satisfied. The hotel staff did a poor job trying to accommodate our group. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Made a good milkshake in morning if don’t mind waiting 30 minutes. To many locals getting a daily pass. The food was the same thing everyday and night. The hotel was overcrowded full of locals paying $7 a day to use the resort. You had to wait 20 minutes to get a drink several times we went to dinner to have almost everything empty or no plate and we had to use plastic plates and cups. Worst experience of my life, my children are scared to travel there again.

Bartenders and hotel staff was very friendly. The sliding door of our room which opened onto our patio did not lock, making our room publicly accessible.
