Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach All Inclusive is situated on the Mayan Riviera, nine miles from Xcaret (theme park), and 45 miles from Cancun International Airport. This location is also 13 miles from Playa del Carmen, 16 miles from Xel-Ha, 20 miles from Tulum (Mayan ruins), and 90 miles from Cancun.

The property's amenities include the complimentary meals and snacks, beverages, watersports, snorkeling (one hour a day), kayaks, tennis, basketball, miniature golf, salsa dancing lessons, daily shows, and use of the swimming pool, spa tub, beach and pool chaise lounges, and kids' club. Motorized watersports, scuba diving, spa and beauty services, laundry and dry cleaning, airport transfers, premium beverages, business services, and babysitting are available for a fee. A buffet-style restaurant, Italian restaurant, steakhouse, and beachfront restaurant are on site. The Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach and the Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach have direct beach access and share three swimming pools (one with a swim-up bar) with spa tubs, one children's pool with a slide in a water park, a fitness center, an 18-hole miniature golf course, seven lighted tennis courts and two lighted multi-sport courts, a business center, and a discotheque. Gift shops are located in the lobby.

Where can we dine?: This is an all inclusive resort, so if you stay at the Tropical you will have access to 6 a la carte restaurants. These restaurants are included already and the specialties are: Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, steakhouse and seafood. We have another 3 restaurants at the Palace hotel, but they have an extra charge of 15 USD per person, and the specialties are: French, Caribbean and Rodizio.
What kind of shopping is nearby?: The hotel is located only 20 minutes away from Playa del Carmen. There you will find plenty of shops for you to buy souvenirs and there are many different restaurants if you want to go and have dinner there.
What is the beach like?: At the hotel we have a nice beach where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sightseeing. There you will find chairs for you to lie down and take the sun. If you want to visit another beach you can go to Tulum that is around 30 minutes away from the hotel.
