Its beautiful outside appearance. No enough wash clothes I had to call everyday to get some towels then they told me we don't have anymore. No enough enternainment.

To whom it may conern, This was my third trip to the Bavaro Barcelo Resort. The previous stay was at the Beach location. this time I stayed at the casino location. First of all the hotel failed to credit/reimburse me monies owed from my last visit from hotel negligence resulting in me having to be taken to the hospital. Secondly, the service at the casino was not as nice as that of the beach location. The room leaking from the ceiling. The TV did not work properly. Room service would not leave adequate towels for our stay, we returned to our room to find our beds saturated with water. When we informed the hotel staff, the manager's demeanor was appauling.It took over 5 hours to recieve clean linens and lastly my sister who stayed in the next room came home with bed bug bites!

The hotel staff was very rude and the wait staff and bartenders were not very socialable. The casino dealers were not even sociable. My wife had some jewel missing from the room the first day which we suspect the housekeeper stole. We reported it to the hotel management whom didn't seem bothered by it and just told us there was nothing they could do except to assign a different housekeeper to the room .Plus told us she should had put the jewelry in the safe. They never apologized nor offered something for our troubles. They just didn't care! The hotel shop was very pricy. They wanted 20.00 for 1 Dominican cigar.However, for the value it was actually a great deal except for the jewelry stolen. The pool area was very nice and enjoyable. The all inclusive meals were excellent. Beer, frozen drinks and domestic well brands were all included with the room. We did meet one bartender at the piano bar whom was very friendly ans a pleasure. The rest of the staff seemed as if they were not happy.

Spent 4 days at the resort with friends. The staff was not very cordial, professional nor accommodating, yet they expected to be tipped, and only US dollars were accepted. The rooms were comfortable, but need updating.

My Boyfriend and I recently spent 4 days at the Barcelo Bavaro Golf Resort. We had a great time. The beach was beautiful and the resort was really great! Lots of amenities, the grounds were very well kept, our room was big and clean and we were never more then a few steps away from a bar! Our one complaint- the food!! It really was awful- we tried (or at least walked by and looked at the food) all 4 buffets and all 4 restaurants that are part of the all-inclusive package (disclaimer- we did not try any of the restaurants that you have to pay for- maybe those are great) and it was all really disappointing! It wasn?t just the entrees either- the bread was stale and flavorless, the cheeses were slimy and the fruit and veg never looked all that fresh. The pizza was decent. If you want great food to be a part of your vacation don?t stay here. If you want a nice all-inclusive resort at a decent price- by all means stay here! Just know what you?re getting into and maybe pack a few snacks.
