Lunch is served daily at the Terrace Grill, our outdoor dining area overlooking Frenchman Bay. In cooler or inclement weather, lunch may be served inside.

Our lounge is located in the Main Inn just off the Reading Room Restaurant. Cocktails are also served at the Terrace Grille.

We loved hanging out in the pool, going into Bar Harbor, and Acadia.

Lovely views. Broken ice machine. Noisy breakfast room. The staff was extremely professional, pleasant and helpful. The ocean view was stunning. Short walk to shopping, restaurants.

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. The grounds were pretty, the view was great, staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. All in all, it was a really nice hotel BUT it rained the entire visit so we couldn't take advantage of the outside amenities.

Private deck overlooking the water, great breakfast, quiet room, very friendly staff, perfect location. Bed could have been more comfortable. The Inn's downtown waterfront location is not only outstanding for its intimate views of the harbor, but also offers many restaurants, shops, and attractions within a few minutes walk from your room. I may have only visited Bar Harbor once, and therefore don't have any other lodging or accommodations to compare the Bar Harbor Inn with, but after our stay I don't suspect I will have the want to try another location.

Hotel was very easy to find driving in at night from Bangor area. Look for driveway just past their tennis courts. Town of Bar Harbor a very short drive or long walk from hotel. Largely Eastern European staff was friendly & professional. Stewman's restaurant between hotel pool and Harbor very handy, but closed early (9PM). Hotel has nicely lit walk around hotel, pool, restaurant and along coast. We took advantage of laundry facilities in basement and exercise room. The room itself was not remarkable, clean, but plain.

The only part of our stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Bar Harbor, ME which was disconcerting was the care of our room. We would leave at about 8:am for a day of fun in Bar Harbor, only to return at 2:00pm or 3:00pm, and find that our room had not been cleaned. This was somewhat discouraging, since we wanted to relax for a bit. Of course we had to leave again. The remainder of our stay was great.

The room was small and fairly clean. Checking in was a nightmare. The girls at the desk kept staring at the computer screens and weren't very friendly. Made you feel like it was a privalege for you to stay there. The food was good, but service took forever. For tired travelers we need better service.
