I chose this hotel for it's great location, value and ameneties. I was very disappointed to find that the two ameneties I really wanted, a hairdryer and a coffee maker, were no there. The hotel's bathroom was clean but in disrepair, the grout was crumbling around the tub and the floor was discolored and wavy from leaking pipes. I would not recommend this hotel!

Convenient to MAX. Outside of Fare less Square. The room was clean and the bathroom has been nicely remodeled. Free parking. The staff are nice. It works for me. TV, microwave and large fridge in the room. The staff is kind and helpful.

The Banfield's night staff are some of the rudest and nasty hotel staff I have ever been exposed to. They enforce a strict ""no guests after 10pm"" policy, and act as though every person renting a room there was a prostitute or drug dealer. Strong recommendation to avoid. Find any other hotel in Portland. Do not give them a single dime unless you enjoy being made to feel as though you are infringing on their private space by paying for a room.

Good, fairly close in location, easy freeway access and safe. They had trouble keeping guest noise down.

Roomy, good staff. Bad bed. This was a nice stay as the room was well organized and roomy. Anything that was not working was taken care of promptly. Staff was friendly.

Location. It was a dump, an old style roadside type motel. They had hazmat bags for waste can liners; it seemed as if it was a drug hotel.

Nothing. The $10 per room per night to have 2 queens, bad part of town, on train line, weekly/monthly rates, box spring stained, no fire alarm, smoke smell, etc. This was supposed to be in downtown? Too far out. It was generally substandard, even for a 1 star. No fire alarm in one of the rooms, smoking in the "non-smoking" rooms, light coming in around the door, bathroom fan grille beat in, stained flooring in the bathroom, furnishings in bad repair, too much to list in full.

Close to public transport, plenty of car parking, decent sized rooms. Motel did not provide breakfast. Ban field is a basic, clean 1 star motel in the Hollywood district of pot land. There is plenty of car parking and the motel is close to max (the train) and buses. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had two double beds, TV, microwave, fridge, unsuited, table, clock adios/alarm, chairs and storage. Towels and soap provided but not shampoo or a hair dryer. Coffee is provided, but you have to go to reception to get it. The pool was closed for winter. Overall, the motel is good. It¿s not fancy, but is clean, comfortable and good value. Wireless internet is also available in the rooms.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. As expensive as a 2 star motel. Holes in bedspread and torn sheets We were given the key to a room that was already occupied. Once they corrected that and we got into our room, we discovered that one of the beds had holes in the sheets and stains on the pillow case. Our room was comfortable and had plenty of workspace. We were uncomfortable leaving belongings in our car or in our room unattended.

The location was great. No iron in the room. This hotel is off of the freeway, and easy to get to. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but once you get on the inside it is great. I will stay there again.

Inexpensive, fridge, microwave. Queen size bed, tiny room, semi-clean. This motel is comparable to a motel 6. it's better in that it has a fridge and microwave. They did not up my offer with the $5 "coupon" they sent me.

Much better than I expected. Difficult to enter via vehicle due to 1-way streets. Standard expectations of hotels apply to this one. The room had a mini-fridge, microwave and cable TV and was clean. For a temporary stay, it's sufficient. Near a rural business district, Subway, Quiznoz, several Thai restaurants and family restaurants and an ice cream parlor are within walking distance. For those like myself who do not own, or did not rent a vehicle, there is are convenient bus stops scattered about the area, as well as a train stop just a few blocks away, able to whisk you to the airport or downtown Portland on short notice. Overall, an enjoyable stay to help familiarize someone with Portland, Oregon.

Not much. Not clean ruches when lights turned on. They got the reservation wrong charged me 10 dollars more than paid. Hooker hotel in a bad section of Portland ore.

Located close to where I needed to be. Bathtub faucet dripped. This hotel wasn't as bad. Definitely on the cheap side, but there was a microwave and small refrigerator in my room, plus carpeting looked new. Lamps and bedding pretty worn, however. Staff was friendly to me during check-in.

The price is great if you are on a budget, and the rooms have a microwave and fridge or freezer. The exterior needs updating, it can get loud due to ground and air traffic. Similar to a Motel 6, this place had a couple of extras like a microwave and fridge or freezer. The bathroom looked very clean and well organized. At first I was afraid because the exterior looked dated and the parking areas were dark. The front desk faces most areas of parking, so it wasn't too bad. Overall it is a great place to stay for the money.

Staff helpful. Poor location, weekly and monthly renters.

The outside appearance was well maintained and clean. The rooms were dingy, old, and smelled bad. The door had only a push button lock. I was very surprised to find that this was our hotel. The lobby looked like someone's living room, with old furniture, a space heater, and an unlit Christmas tree. The first thing we noticed about the room was that it smelled really bad. Outside was clean and it seemed safe. Doors definitely need deadbolts, I put all my luggage against the door at night.
Date of Stay:
December, 2005
The bathroom was clean. The smoke alarm was disconnected. It was placed on the refrigerator. There was only one lamp in the room. No chair.
Date of Stay:

It was in a close proximity to food and where I was working. The only thing I liked about this hotel was the location. This was a downtown $40 a night place, and that's what you should expect.
Date of Stay:
October, 2005
Friendly staff, safe and cheap. At 30 bucks, it was nice enough, clean bathroom. HBO, fridge and microwave, right on the bus line to downtown about 1.5 miles out of town.
