What are your breakfast options?

The Hadrian's Restaurant does offer a full Scottish breakfast for £21.50 per person and also Continental breakfast for £17.50 per person.

What transport is available to get around?

Edinburgh is really a walking city, with most of the major attractions no more than a 15 minute walk from our hotel (which is very central). If you need to move around the city then you have a number of options. Our local bus company is Lothian Buses and they charge £1.30 per journey (exact change only) or £3.00 for a day pass (access to any service). Taxis are also readily available and charge between £35.00 and £45.00 per hour depending on the quality of the vehicle and driver. We normally advise against using your own car within the city centre as parking around the city is very limited and very expensive.

What can I do nearby?

Attractions nearby include Edinburgh Castle, the Real Mary Kings Close, the Palace of Holyrood House, the Museum of Scotland and the Royal Yacht Britannia. These attractions reflect Edinburgh’s rich history as a capital city and as a focal point in the development of Scotland as a nation over the centuries.

Do you have internet?

We do have Wi-Fi in the rooms and it costs £15 for 24 hours. We do also have a business centre where the internet is complimentary.

Do you provide parking?

We offer a valet car parking service at The Balmoral Hotel. When you arrive at the main entrance to the hotel, one of our doormen will greet you and take care of your vehicle and your luggage. As a resident of the hotel, you are guaranteed a space and do not have to pre-book. The charge per night for the car park is £27.00 which is charged to your room account automatically. We do not charge on an hourly basis so there is no rush to get the car out of the garage when you check out.
