Seriously Horrific, I Don't Even Know Where I Should Begin. I guess I'll just start off with why. My family wanted to surprise my father-in-law for his 60th birthday. When we first started planning for this trip a year ago we read the reviews and weren't expecting the world from Bally's but it was on the Boardwalk. Bally's online booking system wouldn't allow you to book more than about 6-7 months in advance so we had to wait until Jan-Feb to book for our trip in July. We had arranged for three couples to go together and asked that the rooms be adjacent to each other six months ahead of time. So they put it in the reservation (supposedly). Finally the day of the trip comes around and I have my wife call Bally's at 2pm and make sure they know we are coming and that we'll be there around 10pm and so have our rooms ready and again make sure they're next to each other. Then we fly in to ACY. I understood the airport was small when I booked our flights but five minutes after the flight landed there wasn't a taxi, a security guard or any airport person in sight. We saw one police officer and he was nice enough to call us a taxi and then he left with us just standing there alone and in the dark because the lights go out automatically apparently. That's not Bally's fault just for information in case you're flying into ACY. Taxi comes and we get to Bally's and go to check in line. It's now 10:30pm there are 2 couples ahead of us in line. We are all standing in line for 45 minutes before we are called to the counter. There are only two people working the counter. Almost every time they are about to be done with a person one of those “Diamond Card” people walk up and demand something and they are stuck with them for ten minutes. Simple thing to do here would be put the manager at the counter and add a person to help move things along but no she just stands at the edge of the counter acting as if everything is fine and a 45 minute wait at 10:30 should be normal. Finally get to counter. They lady isn't even dressed in a Bally's uniform she has some T-Shirt on like she just rolled off the couch and walked to work. My wife gives her the reservation number and she tells her the rooms are not ready yet. WHAT!?!? Check-out is noon and Check-In is 3pm. Why at 11:15pm are our rooms not ready? When you book your room you are under contract with Bally's that if you don't cancel with at least 24hours advanced notice they bill your card for the first night anyway. So that room should be sitting empty if we don't show up. So how can the rooms not be ready? They told my wife the rooms were based on availability and basically the reservation doesn't mean anything. Again I say WHAT!?!? You make a reservation so that your room is reserved for you. Isn't that kind of the point? So, they tell us to come back and check again in 2-3 hours. What are we supposed to do for 2-3 hours? Carry our luggage around the hotel & casino? So they say since we don't have your rooms ready we'll give you an $80 comp for dinner tonight. So basically we took the comp and went to 6six Bistro just as a place to sit down and wait for our room. But they act like $80 is great. We wouldn't have had to go eat tonight if our rooms was ready we would have just gone to bed and not spent the money any way so how does that help? They still get our $150 for the night where we only got half the day of room usage. Then 2 hours later we go back and they have our rooms ready. Three rooms we had one is on the 7th floor. Two are on the 10th but on almost separate sides of the building. What part of adjacent they didn't understand I'm not sure. So we spend the night and the next morning, we go back to the front counter and ask why one of the rooms is even on a different floor. They offer to move them to our floor and then immediately say never mind we can't do that there are no rooms available on your floor. Why offer something you can't do? Later in the afternoon we come back in our room and there are roaches in the bathroom. Worst Stay Ever! They employees are very rude, Non-Accommodating, and just plain miserable people.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant to book, but I was pleasantly surprise. I stayed in the Dennis Towers and the rooms were modern, although our windows did not have a view. Navigating the circus that existed in the lobby was a chore but all in all I would stay again.

Bally's is a great choice as Caesar's is a lot more expensive on weekends. They have more than one $10 blackjack table! The rooms are as expected but at least the prices were ok for a weekend in A/C. Great location as you have the outlet stores on the back-city side and the Pier Shops on the front. The downstairs can be a little smoky as the so-called non smoking tables are right next to the smoking ones! I wish that they would ban smoking once and for all! The "free pool" was closed due to health reasons and the $10 one was not up to par. Overall, the atmosphere is nice, not too cramped and lots of open spaces.

I reserved a room at Ballys, but they gave an old and terrible room at Claridge. I complained with the manager and he told me they couldn't do nothing... I will never came back again. The manager was rude and incompetent for the position. Next time i'm going to Tropicana Hotel. If you already make a reservation, try to make a complain in the first hour, and don't accept stay at Claridge. If I were you I will prefer cancell my reservation and go to a better place. This hotel and this kind of service don't deserve your money....

When they advertise internet service they dont tell you it is an additional 10 dollars a day for this service. When they advertise the sauna and spa this is also not included with your room. You only have access to the lesser of the two pools. The better pool with spa is an additional charge. You pretty much have to walk through the casino to get to the rooms in the tower but everywhere you hear security telling people with children that they are not supposed to be in the area. So not kid friendly. Also many dining facilites are only availble in the gaming areas. Dining lines are long, check in lines are long and you even half to wait in line to check out. Eating areas were not very clean. The rooms were o.k. though and the staff was mostly helpful and friendly. Just lots of extra charges and very difficult to manuver from one place to another.

Food was decent, but expensive. Hotel room floors were stained, bathroom was run down with rust, floor by window was soaking wet. Casino is run down, gambling tables are dirty. Would never stay here again.

We arrived and were given a room in the Clairidge Tower. It was horrible, old and in desperate need of a makeover. The ceiling was patched, furniture was chipped and bathroom facilities were tiny and I could hear every word of the phone conversation from the room next door!. I asked to be moved to another room, and for an additional $ per night, we moved to the Garden Tower. Much nicer room. Roomy, bathroom facilities were nice, we had a shower only, no tub, but that was fine. Don't stay in the Clairidge Tower. Yuck. The hotel was okay. Room key maker was down and we had to wait for it to make our new keys to move into the new room. On our last day, our keys were demagnitized, and we couldn't get into our room, and couldn't use the elevator. The employees on the casino floor were very helpful and courteous. However, I intend to try another hotel. I have stayed at the Sheraton, Tropicanna, Hilton and now Ballys.

My mom and I stayed for two nights for a "girls getaway" in the tower room. The toilet bowl would not flush and we needed to keep calling maintenance. The room was clean but very "used" and not up to the standard of a mohegan sun or foxwoods hotel. We also found a very low class of people staying there. When we went to retrieve our comp money for food the kiosks were down and were told that we could not use our comps for dinner. Needless to say, after gambiling over we were in no mood to pay for food! Prior to this visit I hadn't been to A/C in over 10 years and they won't be seeing me again for at least another 20! Very disappointed in Ballys.

The bell captain's staff was very helpful and kind. The room. Bally's really needs to remodel the Clarridge section for the hotel. After spending my first night the Trump Taj they were a huge disappointment.

My wife and I are newly weds, just returned from our honeymoon. We stayed a couple of nights here and we loved it. The staff was very courteous.......we booked a deluxe room and they gave us a free upgrade to a junior suite because it was our honeymoon, they gave us some nice comps during our stay, and they were very friendly and hepful as well. My wife and i are planning a return trip already and Ballys is definitly the hotel and casino for us!

My girlfriend and I stayed overnight in the old Claridge Tower with an ocean view. The room was a little dated and the carpet was trashy but other than a stopped up tub it was a nice room. The staff checking-in/out were wonderful, the security guards were helpful when we needed directions. The martinis are strong and the atmosphere was relaxed. The Bellezza Spa area was clean and claming and the swedish massage was out of this world! The bedding was a little different-there wasn't a comforter..but it wasn't uncomfortable to sleep with the "sheet" set-up they had. I think we overpaid for one night..compared to what we actually got
