DO NOT STAY HERE. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. First, when i went to check in they tried to stick me in a motel (without AC) that they own next door and I had to argue for them to give me a room in the actual hotel(which is what had shown me pics of and I had been promised).. This is by far the biggest scam I have ever seen. I booked and they had the nerve to tell me I booked overseas and that I should have booked through them and should not have booked online.. The staff is rude and belligerent and I had to argue for 3 hrs to get a room I paid for and claiming they did not have anymore rooms and that other ppl paid more, etc. After 3 hrs, like magic they found me a room. Later I talked to other guests only to find they were paying a lower rate then I was. This is a complete scam and the motel they tried to stick me in did not even have working AC. When checking out, I had to again argue with them to give me complementary internet that their manager promised for our troubles on the first day. They wanted me to pay $120 for this complementary service that we were promised. On top of that, our room service managed to forget to give me towels, Shampoo, Coffee on at least 7 occasions ( I was staying for 2 of the worst weeks of my life). Coffee is one thing, but someone please explain to me what I am supposed to do without such necessities as soap or towels? On top of that, the room service maid came at least 4 times at 8-830am to clean the room and managed to wake me up. Other days she didn’t come at all and I had to call the front desk multiple times until somebody showed up. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.

Went as a getaway for the 4th of July...staff was friendly...food was tasty, nothing expensive...has a walkway leading to either the beach or pool...the pool was crowded. The step out balconies were nice...but it is very tiny space 4 people can barley fit although it served it's purpose.

Very clean, hotel staff was very helpfull and knowledgeble. Had to pay for internet, bar closed to early. The hotel has a very inviting atmosphere. The staff at check in was quit to make assumptions about who we where, which I did not approve of. The room was very clean with a pleasant smell and the mini fridge under the T.V was very useful. The balcony is small.

We stayed here March, 2009. Very nice hotel for the money. Room was smaller, but for the price, we were very satisfied. Great showers, nice bed!! We loved being right across from the ocean where there was a fitness trail. We ran every morning along the ocean and ended with the fitness trail. Very nice location to downtown area and marina. Easy access to boating activities all within walking distance. Very nice restraunt on sight also. I recommend this hotel. Tami, Minnesota

this is an old hotel that has not had recent updates to the rooms. they tried to spray paint the tubs; which are peeling. the doors to the entertainment centers are in ruins or missing. the finishing touches and attention to decor are missing. there is no in-house t.v. stations that plays any type of music for free. it is there on pay on demand...the restaurant breezes is closed at 11 pm. not able to obtain frozen drinks in a beach resort in the lower level. if you want the beach and that is it, come on down...the sister hotel pier 66 is listed as a 3.5 star hotel, and it is much more pleasing to the eyes with decor, landscapping, restaurant. waterfall pool, etc...

This was my 3rd time here....LOVE the location, with the beach so close, great pool bar, with great food and live music on Saturday afternoon, and the views!! Can see the ocean, the marina with its fabulous yachts, the cruise ships heading out... The marina has its own water taxi stop....what a wonderful ride. And right next door, a wonderfully funky bar/restaurant on the water, the Bahia Cabana.

Good location. Unfriendly staff, maintenance issues, balcony is a joke. Your check in time states 3pm but the hotels check in time is 4 pm. Staff would not honor the check in time stated on their website. The room was suppose to have a balcony facing the ocean but the balcony is only 6" deep and you can not walk out on it. The sink and toilet was plugged up. We ended up checking out of the hotel and staying at another hotel down the street.

we stayed here in march 2009. the rooms were tired. the shower water temp fluctuated throughout the entire shower from cold to luke warm. management didn't seem to be overly concerned. we overheard another guest complain about similar problem. never will stay again. we also had to pay $18.00 a night to park!!!!!!!

Bahia mar is a hotel that you're going to like a lot.The rooms are very clean, the bed comfort is amazing, great location.Don't hesitate!Book it!The only thing that was a minus from our vacation was there were not places like Subway or any kind of fast food - something that you can just grab and go.Only restaurants in the area. There was a small restaurant at the hotel but we didn't eat there - the prices were like everywhere else.Go to eat at the Italian restaurant H2O - it's amazing!!!!Great food and the atmosphere is just excellent.Don't be afraid of the look of the restaurant, the prices are normal.Overall great hotel and location, very satisfied!!!!

Good location for my husbands diving tours, but luckily (for me) the weather didn't comply a couple of days and we got to hang out together. Coconuts restaurant (near the boat launch and a short walk from the hotel) had half price wines on Mon and Tues - super values for a oenophile like myself.

It was very clean and accessible, friendly staff. Decor was very basic, not very romantic at all. Overall our experience at this hotel was great. It was very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint was that they were still cleaning the non smoking rooms after check in began. Also, the decor was not what you would expect for a hotel by the beach. It was what you would expect in like a Comfort Inn in Ohio or something like that. Besides that this hotel was great! They just need to update the rooms decor to match the rest of the hotel.

I thought the hotel was excellent - a great value for the money. I was in the annex across the way from the main tower in a ground floor room, so the view was limited, but everyting else exceeded expectations. The hotel was very clean and the service was uniformly excellent. Everyone on the staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. Personnel at the front desk went out of their way to be helpful when I needed assistance getting documents faxed to me. The lobby restaurant - Breezes - was outstanding. It had a simple menu, but everything I ordered there was uniformly well-prepared, fresh - and the portions weere quite generous. I would certainly stay there again.

I would not recommend this hotel. It wasn't very nice compared to the website. Its an older hotel. The rooms were decent but old. The elevators were out the 1st day we were there. It was bad for the maid staff without elevators. We checked out after one night. We didn't try the food or bar, they were both empty areas. Was not worth the time or money. I'm trying to be brief. I do not recommend. One out of Five Stars.

Great location and price. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Bus/trolley stop is a block away which will take you down Las Olas. Staff generally are polite and professional. We got upgraded to a better building. However, one night shift staff ruined the whole experience of staff friendliness. I worked in a 3-star hotel before so I know how guests should and should not be treated. She never smiled, always acted annoyed and impatient, told me "what is wrong with you, I just told you earlier...." when I asked the same question twice, and sarcastically demanded "thank you" when I intentionally left that out just to see her reaction after making extra room keys for me. Other than this night shift lady who appeared to be in charge since other staff did ask her questions operating their computers, our experience at the hotel was fantastic.

location to ocean the staff and the disgusting smell in the "other" building I would NEVER stay at this hotel again, on purpose. Upon checking in, the hotel staff memeber, Carlos, was completely clueless and was not capable of multitasking. It took us 20 minutes to check in when it should've took us 5. We initialy were placed in the "other" building. The hallways and stairwells were outdated and worn down. The room was initally acceptable; however, after securing our bags and leaving for 2 hours, when we came back, our room smelled like raw sewage. Even my 4 year old son said the room smelled like poop. When I went to the desk, Carlos-yet again, had no idea what to do. Another staff member had to literally push him out of the way. Luckily, he reassigned us to a new room in the main building. Ironically, I knew people that were staying in the same hotel that were on business and they had a lot of the same issues we had. The hotel rooms were decent, the view of the ocean and location were great, but I would NEVER stay here again with my family.

Location is perfect. Water Taxi for the intercoastal right there at the Marine. Hotel clean, friendly and thanks to the travel agency a great rate. Can't beat it, would definitely stay again.

This hotel has it all. Walk to the beach or stay by the pool and have a drink. Nice balcony overlooking the ocean from almost all the rooms. I will return.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is showing its age. The hotel has a main building and an out building. When we first arrived, we were in the out building which was not to our satisfaction. However, being the off season, there was no problem with them moving us to better accommodations, but even the better accommodations were not quite what I would have expected. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our stay was very enjoyable.

stayed there sept 2008. the staff was wonderful, very polite. the room was great. maid service great. the pool was cleaned ever day. plenty of chairs for everyone. food was good at motel. the beach was not far, right across a private walkway. food down along the beach was not good, expensive and drink were buy one get one free 30.00 no alcohol in them. you can rent a car at the motel for a day, cheap rates. get a map from them, easy to read and a lot of cheap shopping and great food places. over all i would stay there again.
