The hotel was nice, but was in some ways dated. It was obvious much work was being done to keep the place up, but the same can't be said for their neighbor properties. The area was, frankly, sort of run down, and one has to drive for a few miles to even find a decent restaurant. The pool was good, though, and being right on the beach, I'd say from the parking lot forward to the beach the place was very nice. From the street out in either direction, well, Daytona just wasn't the way I remembered it from my youth. This is in no way a knock on the hotel itself. The room even had a fridge and kitchenette with a electric stovetop (which we never used).

Our trip was very nice. The rooms were larger than expected and kitchen area was good for a week stay for the price. The staff was very friendly and always on top of things. Not alot of traffic on beach area near the hotel. Beds were very comfortable. I will go back to this hotel for my next trip to Daytona.

The Bahama house was a decent budget hotel to stay in. Surprisingly, it was very clean during spring break. Some of the staff was very condescending and unfriendly towards our group (21+ males on spring break), which was disappointing. We can read contracts, handle responsibility, and have stayed in MUCH nicer hotels/resorts/lodges, thank you. Other than that there was nothing highly remarkable - it was quiet inside, there wasn't much to do (20+ minute walk unless you want to get a tattoo across the street), facilities were good enough for the price. My overall impression of the Bahama House was that it tries to appear classy when in reality it is average.

Nice hotel. We will stay here again. Front Desk staff was friendly. Continental Breakfast was average. Wished they had waffles. Beds were comfortabe. Loved the view.

The Bahama House was comfortable and the room was large. It was easy access to the beach and the pool. My only complaint was the bathroom was a bit too small.

The Bahama House was a wonderful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was really nice and clean. They also offer a complimentary cocktail hour which was a nice plus. They also have a contenintal breakfast which was another plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I am ever in Daytona again I would choose the Bahama House again.

We had a very nice stay. Our room was oceanfront with an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony. The room also had a full kitchen. The room had a lot of space and a nice size TV. There were only local channels, however. It did have very small bathroom. It had both upper and underground parking that was free for guests. The outside pool was nice and the deck was kept clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. This hotel did a very nice job taking care of us. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again. Very family friendly!

We were greatly impressed with most everything about the Bahama House. The rooms were comfortable, with all rooms having a balcony with a wonderful view of the Atlantic. The free morning continental breakfast was supurb, as well as the afternoon manager's reception. The staff was effecient and friendly and there was much effort in maintaining a clean facility. We enjoyed the location which was just a little south of the hustle and bustle, yet had easy access to some wonderful restraunts. Overall, a great place with a great value.

The Bahama House in South Daytona is a real gem on the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Many of the rooms are ocean view with adequate balconys. We were there only overnight during one of our concert outings in Daytona, and we hope to stay there many times again. Our home is only 60 miles southwest of Daytona, but we do stay at the shore every chance we get. We've place the Bahama House as one of our top selections for the area. Just saying I would stay there again is proof that it's a good shore location. Although the beach is a 'driving beach' it was pretty quiet when we were there, and it was supposedly 'spring break' week for all the college students. The only downside is the location, the area is undergoing sort of a re-developement after the 2004 hurricanes. There aren't too many good restuarants in walking distance. You would have to drive for your meals, since the Bahama House only serves a free continental breakfast in the morning, and has no eating establishment on property.

Bahama House is great to visit and the staff works hard at being friendly and helpful. The price hikes during special events (Bike Week and Biketoberfest) are on the pricey side when coupled with their 3 or 4 night stay minimum. As a long-time visitor, I expected more consideration for wanting only a 2 night stay.

The Bahama House was excellent. The property is very clean, and tasteful. It is rectangle, and set at a slight angle to the coastline. Rooms face North, South, and East. We were in a North facing room, and I cannot imagine an East facing room having any better of a view. I don't think I would want to stay on the South side, the way the hotel sits, it probably doen't have a good view, so ask fo a north facing room. The hotel lobby was always spotless, and smelled wonderful, they must spray something constantly. The water is probably 100 yards or less away, with the beach being right outside the back pool patio. The pool isn't the biggest, but you're not going there for the pool, right? There isn't any dining closeby, so make sure you have transportation, and the parking is free, which is big, since some other hotels charge $10 per day! This hotel is great and we would stay there again, if we ever went back to Daytona, which by the way, is NOT a very family friendly area, so if you're taking the family, try another beach, because Daytona is dirty and busy. There were several adult bookstores and strip clubs nearby, so Daytona isn't the best family place. This hotel would be more at home somewhere else.

Excellent family hotel, spacious rooms, kitchen with full size refrigerater and microwave.Balcony with ocean view, the hotel is right on the beach in the quieter south end of Daytona. They had a pool which we never used as we prefered the beach. Front desk staff very polite and helpful, they let us check in early as soon as our room was ready. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast every morning. Overall a nice experience and good value for money.

The staff at this hotel were all really nice and helpful. The area of the beach that it sits on is perfect, away from the crowd by the pier but still close enough to walk there if you wanted to. The pool was nice but the heater on it was not working and so it was too cold for the kids to go in, they mostly went in the jacuzzi, but then that heater went too so it was warmer the then pool but not hot either. The kids had a blast though and I liked that there was not a lot of teeneagers around. I will go there again and hopefully the heaters will work!!
