It is located on the edge of Lake Davenport and situated on 70 acres of lushly landscaped grounds. Its design reflects the colonial architecture of the Bahamas.
All Kitchens have a full size refrigerator- oven- microwave- coffee/tea maker and are equipped with cookware- crockery- utensils- glassware. Two full bathrooms- master bath features corner tub and separate shower. Also included is a laundry room with washer/dryer-iron/ironing board- radio alarm clock and phones. All balconies are screened and a 24 hour manned and gated security greets all guests.

First of all I was very upset when I got to Bahama Bay to check in and found out that I had to have $200 taken out of my debit card as a hold for incidentals, as well as a cleaning fee of $65 which I was not told about by [...] when I booked the reservation. The only thing that was stated on the reservation corfimation letter and also on line was a $17.85 resort fee for the stay at check out. I made sure to ask the representative that I booked the vacation with on the phone since I had seen on other properties (condos) cleaning fees. The woman assured me that what was written on line was the only charge that I would have to pay plus the rental rate for the 4 days. I beleive I was lied to by your company and was mislead, just to get the reservation. I could have stayed at Cypress Pointe instead with no cleaning fee or that big hold of $200.oo, that I did not budget for. I will never book through you again. I have booked with other travel websites and never had this problem. I am very disgsuted with how I was lied to, and the people at Bahama Bay said they have told all booking agents to inform people of their $65.oo cleaning fee. I told them I was never informed of this and it did not say this on line. Very misleading and misrepresented. If I did not have the money on my credit card, or in my debit account or the extra cleaning fee what would I have done. They don't allow you to check in without paying first. The hold of $200 plus the 65.00 cleaning fee, plust the $5.95 resort fee per day you have to pay upfront to check it. Your misfortune if you don't have this to pay, you are out of luck. I suggest you start telling people the exact amounts to pay, and not let be a surprise to them when they get to the resort. It is not fair to do that to someone. I already made a complaint verbally and in writing with Bahama Bay. The condo was nice, clean and new- the only plus. They had one small pool very far from the building we stayed, not impressed, then above us we had to k

Stayed at this place 3 years ago,and returned april 2009 Bahama Bay is a quiet plesant place excellent after a tiring day in theme parks, nice luxury condos and relaxing hot tubs around pool area.

My wife and two teenage children stayed in a three bedroom suite. The unit was clean but well used. The carpet was stained a bit but clean. The main pool/hot tube and bar area were very nice after a long day at the parks. They closed at 10pm, 11pm would have been better. Just remember this is NOT a hotel. You will need to stop and buy some TP and basic supplies. We purchased breakfast supplies, eggs, bread, pancakes and fruit. Making even just one meal a day will save a lot of money. It is very close to all the parks and many stores. If you have trouble with stairs get a first floor unit. We met many very nice people from all over the world at the pool/bar area. If you have little kids it looked like they had a blast at the play gound and pools. The sauna was very nice also. They are in the locker rooms and open anytime.

The suite exceeded our expectations. It was like having our own little condo in Florida. Kitchen was well equiped, and the living space was clean and comfortable. No need to bring cooking utensils, linens or towels unless you prefer your own. Our 2 bedroom / 2 bath suite had cable with a TV in the living room and the master bedroom. The entire resort has a quiet, family atmosphere with three well maintained swimming pools. We left for Disney World each morning between 8 & 9 AM and were in DIsney parking lots within 15 - 20 minutes. No matter what we needed it was easy to find in this area. We had a blast and we will be back!

I read a review on the villas and almost did not stay here. The person who wrote the bad review must not have stayed at Bahama bay. This place was great So clean, had everything I needed. Oh the bathrooms were so clean. I come to Florida everyother month to visit my son,daughter-inlaw and grandchildren. So I stay at a lot of different hotels but this was the best for size, location, clean, pool playground just great I will be staying here again.....

Villas are spacious, just like home. I do not like the all in one washer and dryer. I would recommend this resort. There is a beautiful pool with 2 hot tubs on a beachy area next to Lake Davenport, along with another heated pool by the front with another 2 hot tubs. Very clean and relaxing music plays all the time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bahama Bay. The resort is just enough off the beaten path for us to really have a tropical feel-and the nice weather did not hurt either... I had upgraded my room for $9/night and we were still booked in a ground floor condo, I thought I would not like it, however for unloading groceries and in and out on "pool days" it worked great. I did hear a bit of noise above us, but it was not loud. It was nice to arrive and have the dishes, dishwasher and towels (even beach towels) ready to use. The restaurants were priced very reasonably for a mid -level resort and the hot wings were amazing. They have the happy hours at each pool at different times, so if you change pools you CAN even have another happy hour. It was very family friendly and everyone around was very down to earth and the resort was family friendly. I worried that on the pics I saw, we might end up with a cayman in the lake side pool, but after seeing it, you understand that is not a concern. There was a volleyball for us under the net and there were plenty of chairs for everyone. There is also a little pool side gift shop with OTC snacks and pool toys. The dishes and pans and utensils were exactly what we needed. I had wished I brought a few tablets for the dishwasher but Wal-mart was less than 2 miles or so.

Overall very nice resort. The hotel grounds are well maintained and it is easy to find. The room we had was large with 3 bedrooms and living/dinning room with a full kitchen. The room was clean but it was a bit worn down and could use some renovation. some of the small appliances were broken, such as the toaster, microwave door, can opener. It was very convenient having a washer/dryer in the room and they worked well. The resort is close enough to Disney, about 15-20 minutes, that distance isn't a problem and it's far enough from the crowds that it's quiet at night. We would stay there again.

An ode to poor customer service! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, 10 miles from Disney (not 6) and there is only one sign that leads you to a dead-end road. When I called to ask for directions, I was put on hold several times and the indications were totally insufficient. When we finally got there, they wanted to charge $65 for UNDISCLOSED cleaning fees even after showing them the printout of the reservation. In addition, they refused to return the money we had paid. None showed any interest in finding a resolution. Extremely frustrated after having lost a couple of hours of our precious weekend, we decided to leave at risk of loosing that money. Fortunately, we had made the reservations through Orbitz, which backed us up 100% and got our dollars back. I don't recommend the hotel but I do recommend Orbitz...they are great!

Very relaxing! Away from the crowds and noisy atmosphere of Disney. Had trouble with both room keys. The hotel was a relaxing, clean, enjoyable spacious place to stay. Great for families as well. Beautiful grounds outside with walking trails, playgrounds and several pools. Did not feel crowded at all. I liked the separate outside entrance, plus the screened in balconies. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone traveling in the area.

very good location. nice resort and staff was friendly. we had everything in the room and it was spacious and comfortable. very quiet place to relax. disney world is about 20 mins away. there is grocery shopping close by just a few miles and many restaurants. would definately stay here again.

The condo we stayed in (3rd floor, 3 bedroom) was very nice, clean, roomy and perfect for a family of 5 plus mom-in-law and niece. There were only a couple drawbacks - the website stated there would be dvd players for each room with a t.v. but there weren't (there was only 1 dvd player in the living room). And the stairs were a monster to climb especially after a full day at the park. It was close to a Walmart and Publix grocery store which helped quite a bit. There was dishwasher soap, a roll of paper towels and tissue paper in all the bathrooms - we did have to purchase more in order to have enough for our stay. Pools were nice, it wasn't very crowded. The only other suggestion I would make is to offer more on site activities for both children and adults. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

The hotel was great. The only problems I encountered was at the beginning of the trip. When arriving I had an free upgrade through Orbitz. They told me they could not give it to me. After about 20 min of fighting, she said, " I will give you the upgrade, but have to take the room away from someone else." This was not my problem but made me feel bad. Then I had to pay a "housecleaning fee" that was not stated by Orbitz. I figured I would pay the fee and deal with Orbitz later. However, Orbitz would not do anything about giving me the refund even though it was not stated on their website and was on other hotels in the area. I talked to a supervisor who did not help. So if you stay here, you must realize you have to pay an upfront cleaning fee and put $200 on hold for the hotel just in case of incidentals. And do not rely on Orbitz to back you up on anything!

The location is excellent; the grounds are beautiful plenty of things to do within the resort. The carpet in our room was not that clean but the overall cleanliness of the rooms was fantastic. We absolutely love this resort for a getaway with our children or without. There is so much to do at the resort and the resort is only 10 min from the new back entrance to Disney which is our favorite park in Orlando. The beach is great for the kids they love the beach volleyball while we can relax and have a bite to eat poolside. The resident alligator in the lake was also thrilling to see - a great time overall each time we stay at Bahama Bay.

Very friendly staff must admot didn't take advantage of the pool or other facilities our stay was only brief. my only complaint, a little soundproofing might help our neighbours were partying until the early hours fortunately we didn't have children with us or their sleep would have been an issue. Even so I would still recomend a stay here.

We just returned from a week stay. The Good Things: Front Desk Service / Size Of Unit / Unit was clean (except for carpet) / A GREAT Value The Concerns: Take toilet paper with you. Once the unit is out you need to buy more and they will not supply. We had a 3 bedroom. The king and queen size mattress felt like they had rocks in them. Considering that they call this a "Resort and Spa" I would have liked to have been able to sleep on a comfortable mattress. The shower heads are disapointing. This was one of the newer units. They went cheap on the shower head. Ask for one of the newer units if you want an elevator. The TV's in the unit are a little on the cheap side also. Over-all this was a great value for the size of the unit. We spent most of our time at the Disney Parks so our stay at the complex was limited.

The room itself was excellent however the staff made the stay a little uneasy. First of all the receptionist was not too good on directions when we were trying to arrive there from the airport. Upon arriving we were given a dirty room that was not even touch by housekeeping after the previous family checked out, so that took another hour to place us in another room. The next day i complained about it to the supervisor whom was suppose to refund my cleaning fee of 75.00 that I paid upon check in because of the inconvenience. The next day when arriving back to the room from universal studio and extremely tired only to find out that our key cards did not work apparently the same clerk that gave us wrong directions put us down for just one night. There was another hour spent trying to rectify this mind you our entire trip was paid in full way back in February!!!! Needless to say it is 6/02/08 and the supervisor was suppose to credit my account every since 5/23/08 I understand it takes a while for debits and credits to post to your account especially when out of town, but come on it's been 11 days and counting. I called her and left a message on 5/30/08 and never received a return called. If she credit my account and send me some type of complimentary deal because of my troubles I would stay there again, but IF I do not get any resolution I will never stay there again. THAT'S A SHAME THAT THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RUINED IT FOR THIS RESORT BECAUSE IT IS A NICE PLACE TO STAY!
