Built in 1888 by John Walsh, Avonmore boasts a permanent heritage listing and is reputed to be one of the largest terraces in Sydney. What are your breakfast options?: We have no dining facilities on premises; however, there are a number of cafes across the street within a few minutes walking distance that open from 7:00am each morning.
What transport is available to get around?: The area is well serviced by buses. The airport is a 30 minute taxi journey usually a $25-$40 fare depending on traffic. Alternatively, you can take a bus into Central Station then a train to the airport, which would be a cheaper ($8-$12) option but will take longer (50 -70 minutes). The bus stops are within 100 metres of the Hotel.
What can I do nearby?: Entertainment around the property varies from Royal Randwick Racecourse (horse racing) to a variety of beaches to large shopping centres offering shops, cafes and cinema complexes.
Do you have internet?: We have wireless internet throughout the hotel. Access vouchers start at $15 for 2 hours.
