It was nice. Nothing fancy. Staff was very nice. Room was cleaned daily and bed was comfortable. Great location right across from the beach and close to many restaurants/bars. Parking is not fun in South Beach, if you ante up for Valet here (25-30 a day) you always have a spot. My wife and I enjoyed it!

Close to beach. Got a single when I requested a double bed. Pretty good.

as the title describes our stay was unplanned and brief but it met our expectations. the room was clean comfortable and overlooked the strip. across the street from the beach and the view from the bedroom window was great...only complaint really was valet held us up but its south beach!!! other the that it's a "quaint little unplanned...all the other hotel rooms were booked perfect getaway!!!

The hotel is very well located. Friendly service. Since my flight did not leave until late afternoon, I inquired the posiblity to checkout in the afternoon and I was please to learn that I could by paying a half rate, something I was willing to do to be able to enjoy an extrat day at the beach.

Close to port. Breakfast staff not helpful. The room was at the rear of the hotel, above the service lane, very noisy and water pipes in wall, rattled every time someone used their tap or toilet.

The hotel is small but cozy. There were no suprizes, the room looked exactly like the picture. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and a must for me a good hot shower. The hotel was located across the street from the beach and steps away from all the clubs and shops. Lincoln road was about a 5 minute bus ride away (a .25 bus ride on the South Beach Local). The hotel restaurant was fantastic and the service excellent. My friend and I went for my birthday, we had a great time and both agreed that we would stay again.

The rooms are pretty small, but it's all about location, location, location!!!! Everything is so close and the beach is right across the street. Also you are walking distance from all the shopping area.

The location was great, right in the heart of South beach. Having to valet park of $29 a day. If you are looking for a good location in the heart of South Beach without spending a lot of money for a room then this is the place.

Hotel Avalon was okay. I really didnt like the bed spread it was white and it had alot of dirt on it. The towels werent clean good. They gave an little baby iron broad with the iron attach to it, it was dirty, but everything else was okay. They room service clean or room everyday, gave us new towels and rags. Last but not least they were trust worthy the way they seen ur things is the way they kept it we didnt have to lock our thungs up thats the best thing about it.

The hotel location was supreme. From the front door to the beach in 10 seconds. Breakfast every morning was a bonus and you get to meet fellow travelers. It is clean, friendly, and remarkably sophisticated for the price. We dined nearby, partied nearby, and beached nearby. Staff was accomodating and the price was better than the other ocean front locales we've stayed in the past.

Continental Breakfast. Everything Else. They lied. They told me I had a partial ocean view room when I called and it wasn't. They also told me the boardwalk was 6 blocks away and it was 10. The maids were rude.

Hotel staff were unpleasant, unfriendly and not helpful. None of them knew what they were doing, and it took an extraordinarily long time just to get our room keys. The hotel itself was dirty and outdated, with an elevator we used only one time for fear of being stuck because it was so old. Our room was not very clean with stains on the bed. The hairdryer did not work and we had to have them replace the shower head because it was broken. I had to get new towels myself. They did have an okay selection at the continental breakfast, and everything we tried at breakfast was good. The location is also good, and the security was okay as well.

Location. Definition of partial ocean view. The hotel was nice and the employees were very helpful and friendly. Room was very minimal I do not think it would be good for family travelers but for a couple of friends or as a romantic spot nice choice for the money!

The rooms at this hotel are very very small. However, what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in cleanliness and location. You are right across Ocean Drive from the Beach and right in the thick of the excitement of South Beach. I really enjoyed the porch in front of the hotel that allowed you to sit back and relax and take in the scene either before going out for the evening or after I did have my phone stolen from the porch and held ransom for fifty dollars (didn't pay) but that was my own fault for leaving it out there. The staff is very friendly although some may need to learn a little more english. I will definitly be staying here again on my next trip to South Beach!

Check in was horrible i was told i didnt have a resveration the after 45 min i was told thell squeez me in lol.The room was tiny and plain but clean. It also had a weird damp smell so i brought along a scented candle that solved that problem. Hotel was good location right across from the beach. very nice to sit outside at night.

You got all of the feeling of the Avalon, but much quieter. The size of the rooms was rather small, but well decorated. It was a great place to stay. The traffic was just enough to give you the entire south beach feeling, without discouraging you from hanging outside. The porch was a great hangout spot, with an excellent view.

You check in at the Avalon across the street and if you want a non smoking room you have to stay at the sister hotel the Majestic right across the street. The building was clean , so was the room, even though the room had a peculiar odor . The bathroom is very well sized, but the seat in the shower needs to be replaced, it's wood and water and wood over a prolonged period = disgusting to look at . The cleaning staff was great they were on time every morning. The concierge and at the sister hotel next door is really helpful, as the non smoking building doesn't have a front desk . You get free paper (i think it was the Times)and continental breakfast every morning , wasn't too bad . There is no pool though, but it's right across the street from the beach so thatis great. The hotel is in the perfect spot, walking distance to everything. I actually tried out their restaurant A Fish called Avalon , and the food was ok, nothing to right home about , the Bam Bam shrimp sauce was great ,the shrimp itself not so great. You can lounge in the lobby of the building there are sofas and ceiling fans, which is great . Good experience will stay again , another thing, I travelled alone and I felt very safe throughout my stay . I really utilized the in room safe .

upon my arrival i had to wait a good while at the front desk since there was only one desk receptionist. The room seemed stuffy and dated but for the price it would do. My room wasn't cleaned the first day since i was unaware you had to inform the front desk you wanted to room cleaned... weird. It was although in a great location so i spent very little time in the room.
