Our stay in the Lake District was lovely. The Autumn Leaves B & B was clean but accomodation was basic and the room was very small. We had a front room with a large window, a blind or net curtain was needed for privacy from the road below. The breakfast was average and as I cannot eat sugar , sugar free cereals would have been appreciated.I did ask on the first day out of four day stay, if they even had any oats but was told no and the landlady did not offer to get me some for the rest of the stay. Some extra's like grapefruit would have been a nice touch.Although the landlady was always polite everything seemed to be too much bother for her.

Very clean and comfortable place to stay, great breakfastWe had a great experience at the Autumn Leaves hotel. The rooms are well kept, very clean and have a nice touch to them , with a hospitaility tray with tea and biscuits etc. Amanda's breakfast is great - a good way to stay the day!! Only drawback of the place is that the rooms are small, but we didn't mind that since we didn't stay in the rooms much and were outdoors a lot.

Good clean and friendly B&B.No en-suit rooms, shared bathroom at end of landing, But this was known on time of booking. Good honest B&B, value for money.

Autumn Leaves Guest House is very pleasant and in a pretty location. The room was small but very comfortable and the bathroom has to be the best use of a small space I have ever seen! The breakfast was delicious and to wake up to the smell of it cooking was very homely.I cannot say anything negative about Autumn Leaves as it is appropriate to its setting and is very clean and there is a friendly atomosphere throughout. The only problem that I experienced was the lack of a good pub in the area.

Autumn LeavesI enjoyed staying at Autumn Leaves. Close to the station and bus stop as well. Although we only had breakfast once, the breakfast was good. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Last, but not least the hospitality tray was great.

The room we stayed was pretty small but clean. Good enough for short stay for a night or two.

The key ingredientLike most guest houses I have stayed in the room was comfortable and clean along with the washing facilities and was located in a very good location for those wishing to visit Lake Windermere and the surrounding area, with good local transport services and for the flaneurs out there; it is well placed to satisfy your needs. Nevertheless, what sets Autumn Leaves Guest House apart is the hostesses, Amanda. She is absolutely wonderful and warm, providing a heart breakfast (which I recommend as a good way to start the day) and being extremely helpful. It is because of Amanda one can feel as if they are at home rather than simply needing a bed to kip on and it is because of her that I can thoroughly recommend this place and will most certainly stay there when I return to the Lake District.
