The Auto Park Hotel Florence was rated as 3 stars. I would give it no more than 1 - 2 "twinkles". The best part was that it was close to the Florence airport.

the hotel was nice but not exellent and the staff was not particularly helpful, just what was necessary. Next to the bed there was a set of drawers whose corner was near my head while sleeping...

- Some introduction pages said "Internet Connectivity is available in all the rooms". But it simply means a telephone jack to make a phone call via modem.... Only one PC in the public area is connected to the Internet via Ethernet, but you're not allowed to connect your PC using the Ethernet. (Although it is technically possible, some staff banned it) - The vicinity is a quiet environment, but the people in the hotel are very noisy, because it sesms to be a hotel for (young) tourist group. (they often speak loudly until midnight).

It was a good options for us,because we arrived by car, and we did not worry about the parking. The room was small for us (we are four! with kids), but the employees were excellent, very hospitality, nice place. We recommended.

Easy to find and get to downtown, good parking, nice for the rental car but rooms poorly insulated for sound and we found each night tour groups making noise in the halls until after 12, and early in the morning. ear plugs were handy but still a poor sleep. and had issues with mosquitoes so dont leave your windows open!

The rooms were good for Europe, but the a/c was very noisy when it worked. You have to bang on it to get it going. However, the noise from the a/c cancelled out the noise of the other rooms, very thin walls.

Ridiculously expensive (150 Euro/night) for the location, a run down district on the edge of the city. The information on the website is misleading. For example, the garden mentioned on the website is actually the car park! The building is a badly built, modernish (1970's?,) apartment block. The rooms are small and pokey - dont believe the photos. The shower room was out of the ark; there was no shower tray, so the place became a skating rink after a shower. The place stank of paint - which was probably the best thing about the place. The area is very run down, the only eatery we could find was a pizza place opposite the Army compound. We moved to a city centre hotel after one night - the contrast could not be greater, and the city centre hotel was cheaper! The Auto Park is definitely to be avoided. Venere.com should vet their hotels more carefully.

A éviter

The hotel was crowed of mosquitos and the noise coming from the upper room was terrible. Moreover, the hotel is much more far from the Firenze's center than the indicated on Venere's map.

Location is convenient getting to florence by car, as it is near the main motorway and has a big private parking. Sadly the general aspect of the rooms and public areas is very poor, mainly because of the bad conditions of the old furniture

This is a good hotel for a stop over, only a few kilometres from the A1/A11 Firenze nord motorway junction We followed signs towards Florence and Novoli, then a sign to hotels along a road on the right running parallel to the main road. The hotel was easily visible at the end of a short diagonal road to the right. However the distance to Novoli was greater than we had expected and we wished we had downloaded a better map from the internet. The hotel web site map is very difficult to read, particularly when printed out, and the instructions need to be improved. There is plenty of parking in the hotel grounds (which are a lot less rural than they look in their photograph). Our room was very spacious and comfortable with an excellent bathroom and a good breakfast is included in the room price.
