Nice and relaxing, good food. The only things I read about the hotel that I didn't like was no welcome drink and no robes & slippers. The beach was shelly & rocky and so was the water so have shoes on or else go to the prier. Adults only a plus!

Everything was amazing.... My fiance and I went there to see if we would like to do a desination wedding, and we loved it and met with the wedding planner while we ere there. It is definatly worth the price, even though its not that much.

Quick check-in, room first class, service as expected. The resort is absolutely paradise, from the mother-of-pearl pool to the lazy river infinity pool. No fighting for towels or chairs - they are wood lounges with 5" cushions, reservations for meals not necessary. Waiters constantly circling the pool and beach to make your stay heaven. Top shelf liquor, and food to match the most exclusive restaurants in Houston or New York. Anything is possible, as I was told frequently during my stay. Great for teens and those that just want to get away and be pampered. Great spa too! Will go back next year - why go anywhere else.

From arrival we were welcomed with a glass of champagne. The restaurant staff was he best, the bars fully stocked with premium alcohol, and the water sports staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was exciting. We learned to scuba (highly recommend this), went on a fishing cruise and just enjoyed the beautiful pool and beach side massages on quieter days. No fighting with kids, no fighting for beach chairs, or long lines at bar. Highly highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the Wyndham Aura during the midst of spring break period 2009. I was very pleased with the adults only aspect of the resort. There was the occasional teenager from the sister resorts walking through, but they were well behaved and quiet. I think one teenager somehow managed to stay at the resort with her parents, but she seemed very mature and did not cause any disturbance. The food was slightly above average, but nothing that I would write home about. Drinks were hit or miss. They typically go light on the alcohol in the drinks, however if you request more and/or perhaps give a generous tip to the bartender they are more than happy to tip the bottle a little bit more. There was one evening after dinner where guests wandered over to the lounge. the wait staff from the restaurant brought wine over after the dinner shift and made sure your glass wasn't empty. The wine was just above average as well. I would guess they would be maybe $20 - $30 per bottle in the US. The rooms were nice an spacious as described. The beds were very plush to the point they were almost too soft (personal preference I guess). My only complaint is that they advertise having a Bose sound system with I-pod dock. I excitingly downloaded new music before my trip thinking I would have a great sound system to relax to in our room while there. When we arrived, the room had an Audiovox clock/radio with an I-pod docking system (far from a Bose sound system). Nonetheless, my intent of the vacation wasn't to sit in the room and listen to music all week. I do have a pet peeve about hotels/resorts advertising things that are not actually standard in rooms.

I have traveled all over the world but never to Mexico. Therefore I based my decision on the reviews that I have read about the Aura Wyndham in Cozumel. My wife and I where very pleasantly surprised how wonderful everythig was. We got upgraded from a 2nd floor suite to a swim up room which I highly recommend. The whole setting was beautiful with attention to details. The staff was excellent and very attentive. However, this hotel was supposed to be Adults only, but many people had kids and teens of all ages with them. It was not a problem from a noise standpoint, but it ahould be as advertised. Also, MANY people got upgraded from the Wyndham Sabor next door to the Aura at no charge, but not to the point to where the Aura was crowded. The food was great. dive boats docked right at the pier on the beach, the whole propoerty was very clean and neat and the people wonderful. We could not have had a better vacation.

This hotel was the best all-inclusive hotel we have ever stayed at. The food was great. Yummy authentic Mexican as well as foods from home. I would highly recommend this to all of my friends and family as a great get a way destination. There was top shelf liquor available for your drinks which you never find at all-inclusive. We really enjoyed the Mosaic restaurant as well. It is very similar to PF Changs. As for entertainment you will have to find your own. The staff is there to serve you in any way but none of that loud music and stupid games around the pool. There is great snorkeling right off the beach and the equipment is all there for you and included. You can also go sea kayaking and sail for free. We rented a jeep and drove to the other side of the island to eat at Coconuts. That was alot of fun. We also went parasailing. If you do any excursion involving the water you will get picked up right at our dock. Internet is free and we could surf while sitting on the porch to our swim up suite. LOVED THAT. You wont be disappointed in your choice in staying here. Now I have to find a place this nice to take my kiddo's too.

This place is amazing with great people and great service. I have to say the hotel has the best room service and people are very nice, friendly, and with great attitude. Food is Good, but will get tired of it if you eat same thing everyday. WIFI issues in hotel rooms is the only thing I would complaint about. Otherwise, very nice hotel to have perfect vacation.

The University of Iowa Scuba Club traveled to Cozumel for our spring break this year. We stayed at Wyndham Cozumel and received a free upgrade to Aura for the last 2 days of our stay. The Aura staff made some mistakes in getting us our rooms, as we were a large group. They were helpful and resolved the issue, but there was a LOT of hassle involved, including a 2000 charge to my credit card that had to be refunded. Save this issue, there were no problems. Everything about this resort was perfect. The food was perfect in every way, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff were great.I could go in to more detail about the resort, but there is no need. Every person in the group agreed that we thought this was the perfect place to have stayed. Pool, rooms, staff, food, restaurants, and facilities were immaculate.

My friend and I just got back from a 10-day trip to this resort. It was absolutely perfect. Great weather, resort staff were very pleasant and the beach is breath-taking. The diving was easy and beautiful. This was my first trip to Mexico and I have to say it was amazing. I will be back. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We went for a 5 day weekend. Our luggage was lost by the airline and Miguel at the front desk was extremely helpful in following up with the airport to get our bags. Also, X, the waiter was very attentive and friendly. The pool and hotel are phenonmenal, as well as the rooms. One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Definitely 5 star. The service on the other hand was slow, even for Mexico standards and extremely inefficient. Room service never delivered breakfast one morning, the room is suppose to have water, juice, soda, fruit , etc stocked every day. Well, it took 3 to 4 calls to get anything replaced. You have to make reservations thru the front desk to eat at the other restaurants under the Wyndham umbrella in the area. We made one, then when we went to go, no reservation found. But we confirmed with our front desk. 2 of the days we had to call after 5pm to have our room cleaned. Then had to call back 2 or 3 more times since no one showed up. It should be noted the hotel was only 30% full, which was nice for us crowd wise. That being said, since the hotel just opened in the past few months, i am sure the kinks will be worked out. Once the service is tightened up, this is going to be one of the top resorts in the world. I would definitely recommend it, just be prepared to follow up on any request.

The staff was friendly, the food was always great, and the location was perfect. Even though the hotel was booked solid we didn't really see a lot of traffic at the hotel itself. It was very quiet and relaxing. There is supposed to be turn down service every night, unfortunately we only recieved it once while we were there. And our hotel was only cleaned twice. Otherwise, everything was great! If you needed something the hotel staff was right there ready to help.

Here a brief impression of our stay. The staff was very friendly. The food is good, with the exception of the beef (very different texture) and the caned desert. The first room we got (swim up room) was direct next to the kitchen (room #1110) and we got woken up every morning around 5 o'clock when the staff prepared the breakfast. After we mentioned the discomfort, we got a different room (complementary upgrade). The rooms are very clean and nice. Overall we liked the ambiance and the vacation itself, however there is always room for improvement.

The hotel staff were absolutely amazing! The scenery around the resort was breathtaking. The room was gorgeous. The only problem we had with the room was that we had the one with the private pool and something happened with it that caused the pump to run very loudly. We told the front desk and they came and fixed the problem. We suggest that you rent a car if you are going to stay at the Aura because it can get expensive getting taxis if you enjoy going into town a lot. Remember to take plenty of cash because some activities require cash only. We REALLY enjoyed how quiet and peaceful the entire vacation was.

We were in the ocean view suite which was a very luxurious and large unit - probably 900 square feet. Our bedroom had a glass wall which looked out through the balcony window and directly to the beach front, which is a great way to wake up! The staff could not have been nicer and jumped to do pretty much anything we requested - which was not much since everything was almost perfect. The food available in our all-inclusive package was not 5 star cuisine, but we still looked forward to our meals and felt no need to go outside of the property in order to eat. Coffee was great. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We really loved it. The resort was beautiful. There wasn't much nightlife but other than that, it was perfect!
