Description:
Auldington began a new era, opening as a private hotel in January 2005. Previously a convent since the late 1800s, its grand facade, high ceilings and historical features now contrast with stylish and contemporary interior furnishings and modern local art.
Auldington offers functional design, a lift, air conditioning in all rooms, a quiet central location, superb gardens, spacious grounds and easy car parking. Broadband and wireless internet access is also available. Bathrooms are modern and 12 of the 18 rooms have a deep luxurious bath or spa bath.

Auldington is situated central to Launceston"s many attractions and our knowledgeable staff can assist you with information and an excellent range of brochures and maps.
Take a stroll to the Cataract Gorge - a must see while in Launceston. Visit City Park, the Tasmanian Design Centre and the monkey enclosure. Wander through Launceston"s many and varied specialty stores, or visit the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery.
Spend a day travelling the Tamar River Wine Route, visiting the wineries, the lavender farm, waterfalls and much more, or take a half day cruise along the river.
From Launceston, you can also make a day trip to Cradle Mountain or spend a day visiting the townships such as Longford and Evandale in the northern region.
