Only one minus: Parking and safe are paid extra, and we were not informed so before.

Room was quite basic, but clean. A fresh lick of non-yellow paint would help massively! Rooftop pool is much smaller than the picture, but is quite pleasant. Staff were friendly and buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

The waitors were absolutely wonderful!! They were so helpful and they could not do enough to help us. The rooms were of an excellent size!

Clean and friendly hotel with a great breakfast. The only disappointment was the wifi that was unusably slow when it worked at all.

I've stayed here several times and my opinion has gone down: 1. I got a room facing the main road, first floor, very noisey. Somebody has to stay in it, but not what I want. 2. Cable TV didn't work properly for the 3 days I was there; the response was that it had been fixed but wasn't quite 100%. For a big hotel it seemed like a poor excuse. 3. "High speed" Wifi Internet is very, very slow. 4. Sauna was luke warm and no point using it. 5. I already knew this, but bear in mind the swimming pool is in fact a swimming bath...tiny. 6. Unless you get in early for breakfast (7am was fine) it is likely to be badly stocked and crowded (this was 10am; it's supposed to be served until 10:30am). Most of the food trays were empty and the staff couldn't keep up in replenishing it. Overall at USD 90 a night I guess it's fairly cheap for the location and Rio isn't the cheapest city. It's an ok hotel, but I'll be looking for better value next time, even if it means paying a bit more.

this hotel was a surprise it was in a great location,a few minutes walk to the beach,loverly rooms excellent breakfast and great value for money staff speak good english and where friendly,and it felt very safe. i will definatly stay there again if i went back to rio and would recommend it to all my friends.

The hotel is in a good location near the beach but also near the shops. I had a room near the top at the front with a balcony. It was a good size room. There is some noise from the road but further up the hotel is quieter. There are good views from the top of the hotel over to the Sugar Loaf. The staff are very friendly and mostly speak English. The breakfast is a good and provides a good start to the day.

I enjoyed my two-night stay at this hotel. The furnishings in the room were very basic, but it provided everything one may need for a short stay. The breakfast was decent and the service was friendly and efficient. At this rate this hotel offers excellent value for money.

The hotel was in a good location not far from the beach. The breakfast did not have alot of variety and regardless of what time we got to breakfast there was not much available. Still aside from that it was a good place to spend our time in Rio
