Had stayed at another nearby lodge before which was also good, but the price at the Atlas was better and the service was very good.

Used one credit card to book motel, wanted to pay with a different card. So they charged me on both cards. Checked into room, found dirty washcloth and towels hanging on back of bathroom door. Toilet bowl leaked onto bathroom floor. Water bugs and roaches in bathroom. Mattresses were made of plastic - just like your two year old child's mattress when he/she had a bed-wetting problem. On the positive side, the view of the ocean from the room balcony was impressive. With all the qulaity hotels and B&Bs available at Cape May, you may wish to find a different accomodation.

The Atlas is an older Hotel and not glamorous but it was spotlesly clean, very comfortable and an ideal location. Our room was conveniently located on the second floor so it was easy to get to. The elevator seemed a little slow but we rarely needed to use it, but that would be a disadvantage if you were on a higher floor. It had two rooms, a living area with a kitchenette (small fridge, stovetop, sink,and small microwave and all the silverware, pots and pans, and dishes we needed for our 5 day stay)a small table and 4 chairs, a pullout sleeper couch, and a bedroom with 2 double beds. Both rooms had cable TV. We had a small balcony off the living area with a beautiful view of the ocean and overlooking the pool. We could sit on the balcony and watch our teenagers play on the beach. A complimentary breakfast is included and it is very nice -not a buffet. You order from a full breakfast menu and the food was excellent - we all recommend the Bananas Foster pancakes! This was our first visit to Cape May and we weren't sure what to expect. The town is beautiful and very bike friendly, happily, since we brought 4 bikes with us. The Atlas has a bike rack, as do most properties. Our only complaints were minor. The walls are thin and sound carries. When the kids stayed up late chatting in the living area we could hear every giggle, as well as every sound from the exterier hall. Fortunatey, it is a very family oriented palce, so there was nothing rowdy. Also, the pool closes at 8PM and that was a big dissapointment to our teenagers, who would have loved to do some evening swimming after it got dark. Otherwise, it had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Nice front desk staff and wait staff at the restaurant. Free hot breakfast. Rooms were very clean, but in need of remodeling. Nice balcony with view of the ocean. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Atlas Inn was a good value for the money. The location was very good. Front desk found to be alittle unfriendly. Hotel was clean but in need of some updating. Great pool area for the family.
