We had a great trip. After reading reviews, we were worried about the cost of everything, but found the prices to be in line with most islands. We did pack snacks and cereal. We shopped at the little market nearby and bought sodas, gallons of water, milk, and liquor. We had cereal in the room and made our own drinks. There was a happy hour at some of the beach bars in the evening and certain drinks were half price. At the Beach Bar they even had a DJ that played music until 8pm. Great atmosphere on the beach! There are lots of restaurants and shops in the Marina Village. Our teenagers had a great time, especially the 13-17 year olds as they went to Club Rush each night. There wasn't as much for the 18 year olds or adults to do at night except gamble. They had a Comedy Show, but we felt it was a little high per person. There is a night club called Aura, but they have a strict dress code. Many people dress up in the evenings. We have been on several cruises with our teenagers. We asked them what they preferred. They said definitely Atlantis although my oldest liked the night life better on a cruise, but enjoyed the waterpark and beaches. Would we go back? Yes.

the location of the hotel was great! I really recommend you go downdown and enjoy at least a day out there go shopping, eat and of course stay at a bar! Try the farry boat ride. The ocean was a very great site! You have to go swim with the dolphins that was a wonderful experience! The relaxing spa was very nice too! The food is super expensive!! No matter where you eat!!! So make sure you take planty of $$$!!! My boyfriend and I also had a great time at the slides and just relaxing on the side of the pools. Everything was very close by the coral towers. Very clean lobby the hallways were not best but not too bad. The room was very clean and room service was great but very pricy!! Everybody that worked there were soooo friendly!!! We will defiently want to go back but maybe try and stay at the reef or at the cove. Oh yea 1 more thing don't get fooled by the hotels.. The huge one that u see in most pictures is the royal towers which is the one that looks like it was a bridge in the middle of it. The coral towers are the pink ones!

Beach & Pools and outdoor facitlities are awesom. The rooms are absolutely run down, dirty, had ants, The bathroom had mold and mildew in the shower, the blankets had hair and stains on them. They definately need some major renovattions.

My husband and I just returned from Paradise Island where we stayed at the Coral Towers of Atlantis. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and never ending - so much land and so many pools and lagoons, aquariums, beaches, etc. I have to say, unfortunately, we were upset about quite a few things. Firstly, the staff was not very friendly and hospitable. This was particularly surprising given the fact that you spend so much $$ here and the tourists drive their business there. Every time we passed the lobby, we were harassed by staff trying to sell you a timeshare at the Reef and Harbourside. Secondly, the Lazy River Ride, which is what I really looked forward to going on and the only ride I could go on being pregnant, was closed for renovation, which the staff did not inform us - actually quite the opposite - the staff advised me to only do that. Thirdly, the Water's Edge Buffet Restaurant, the lesser expensive of the 2 buffets in the hotel, was also closed for renovation - again, not informed of this. Lastly, the prices of food/drinks were astronomical - $4 for a soda, $5 for an O.J., $10 for a smoothie, $10 for a basic garden salad - the list goes on. These prices were not only for the restaurants in the hotel and the huts around the pools but also for the restaurants in the Marina Village, which is also apart of the hotel. We couldn't go anywhere and pay less - unless we spent $22 roundtrip to take a taxi to Nassau downtown - and who knows the prices there - w/the taxi fee, you're probably spending the same amt or so. So, in summary, beautiful island and resort, but did not live up to my expectations.

This is my 2nd trip. My 1st was 6 years ago. The architecture and marine life are beautiful, however everything else is poor. The rooms are like a motel and so is the service. Not 4 star. Linens are poor quality, furniture is worn and cracked, rugs are worn and stained, bathroom faucets leak and are on wrong, plumbing is poor. They need a huge remodeling. 1/2 the sinks in the public bathrooms are missing faucets. Attention to detail is lost. Aqua activities are great (and casino), but so is Six Flags.

Overall the stay was excellent. There were plenty of activities to keep someone busy throughout the day and night. We did notice an abundance of scum in some of the areas (not pools) that contained water. On our last day the hot water had been shut off during the night and was full of rusty water that morning. Like other hotels of this caliber it needs it own shuttle to and from the airport. The indirect stops used by an independant service made getting to and from the airport too time consumming. I would recommend this stay to others.

I was sincerly not looking forward to this vacation. The range of ages was 2yrs-98yrs there was 15 of us in total and I was sharing a room with my cousin and her two year old, so I really wasn't looking forward to a super good time. We stayed in the Coral Towers,Paradise Island and check in and generally all front desk interaction was about a 6 out of 10 and it has to be said that the time share folk were a bit annoying, but being from NY I knew exactly how to shut that down their noise these are my only genuine complaints. This is a PERFECT family vacation spot. I would not reccomend this placefor honeymooners but my family had children from 2 yrs-17yr and they were NEVER bored. There was even a point when my child was slightly misplaced and I absolutly was NOT ,NOT worried about her. She was on the lazy river for two solid hours and only showed up because she was hungry. Food is VERY VERY VERY exspensive but everything is exspensive on every island in the world so being the frugal family that we are packed many many many snacks in our luggage unless you want to pay $6.00 for a small bag of chips and $3.00 for a candy bar If you are a person that likes to pay through the nose for stuff you might buy at home PACK SNACKS and water. Purchase the casual meal plan or you can pay * for breakfast and you can improvise for lunch (I used to stash bagels and what not from breakfast in my pool bag) or you can buy a $9.00 hot dog. I against all odds actually had a good time and would go back again happily.

Awesome excursions NOT part of Atlantis. Mediocre room, excellant room service by staff, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE TO EAT AND DRINK! Things close down at 7:00 pm which was too early for us! Cool water features . Watch our for "cigar" sales and pushy time share people.

This was one of the worst choices of destination we ever made. The place was nice, and the ocean was beautiful, but the Atlantis staff were so incredibly rude. The people that work there are incredibly pushy, discourteous, and have absolutely no idea about customer service. Our check-in was a 2-hour nightmare, and when we got to our room, there were dirty towels there. It took us 2 hours to get clean towels. The resort puts a manditory 15% gratuity on everything, so the service people have absolutely no reason to be nice to you, so they ARE NOT! At the main outside (outdoor) restaraunt, they actually tried to take the cushions out from under our chairs, because our bathings suites had soaked through our clothes! So for $3*/night, and a * lunch (with no alcohol) we couldn't even sit on a cushioned chair...they wanted us to sit on the rod iron! The food there is decent, but very overpriced. There was very little to do at the resort, we basically got through everything in 2 days....but we were there a week, so we ended up going over the bridge to Nassau as much as we could. Anything to get away from the Atlantis staff! Everything in Nassau was old, but at least the food was cheaper. There was a market which was pretty fun for me, but it was outdoor and conjested, and the vendors were begging you to buy, so my wife was uncomfortable. For what we spent at Atlantis, to be treated as badly as we were, we will never go back. We told this to the flight attendant on the ride home, and she said that 90% percent of people who stay at the the Atlantis, say they will never go back! Neither will we!

the coral towers at atlantis were somewhat disappointing. The room was nice, although maintenance was needed....the table in the room had peeling varnish, the balcony which was located directly over the garbage dumpsters needed painting and the in-room safe wasn't operational. The restaurants were just average in service and food. Guest services needed to be better informed as to what services were available, I asked to have 2 jackets pressed and they said they didn't offer that service, but later in the room I found a cleaning slip which did list pressing as a service. the pool and recreational activities were wonderful, but I really feel that I would not reccomend atlantis to my friends.

we went to atlantise in july 2008. first impression of the hotel was o.k. little expensive for this quality. big goal for atlantise is the wonderfull island, perfect design and art, and... nature! everything around will make you forget about small things. i think that atlantise is the best plase for familys, who have kids and want to be free from making them busy. my teen dauther was really happy to be there. but i steel think that price for two $ for simple brekfast, and $ for dinner without alcohol is exp. thanks got we have family from two people! enyway, it was a great vacations, but next time i would like to visit different plase.

This resort reminded me of Disney. It has that magical sense to it as you travel through the ruins and are constatly amazed by the sheer size of the aquariums. Great water rides, pools above average, pool chairs and pool service horrible. Food, 3-4 star quality 5 star prices. Rooms are similar to Sheraton four points or marriott quality, not overwhelmingly nice at all. Plenty to do for everyone, and definitely worth visiting once. Try eating around town for a lot less money and just as good of a meal. Spa services excellent. Large casino is very nice.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. We had been saving for this trip for a year and we were very excited about it. The hotel is fabulously decorated and lots of fun activities to do. The rooms were very dirty, they smelled horrible, beds were slanted and small. Expect to pay for everything, $14 a day to use the fitness center, 12 oz. water is $2.95, breakfast buffet $32 per person, etc. Staff at the front desk, fitness center and shops are not very friendly.
