Lots of fun. Lazy river (rapids), ocean beach, water taxi to town, worlds largest aquarium, etc. Nice casion for those inclined, great people watching, guests from all over the world.

We went to the beach that the hotel was on and we swam at the pools that were spread across the resort. It was very beautiful and peaceful. They even kept the resort ground clean and very pretty.

I would definetly call the hotel directly and purchase a Meal Plan. Get a guide the FIRST day you register, and get a sharp understanding which resturants correspond with your meal plan. Order any thing on the menu (within your specified plan) and it is all comped to the plan. Be careful not to expense unneccesary beverages or alcholic drinks. When you return to your room check the menu on your TV for charges. They do not tell you this is available when you check into the hotel. Also check the stock levels of your mini fridge. Materials will suddenly appear in the the refrigerator, as if the maids had to restock your items. If you have charges on your bill that are not correct be perisistent to have them removed. The operators will hang up on you while "transferring" your call to a supervisor. CALL BACK! The men are friendly and helpful, but female staff is rude, and extremely unhelpful. Although my boyfriend and I had a blast, I learned a lot about the Caribbean culture : what to do and what not to do......(Ladies, leave the nice jewlery at home, they scan you up and down and determined your worth.)

The service is non-existent - staff are RUDE and NASTY, and yell at you! Maid service is available "if they get around to it" and stuff won't be replenished in your room. Carefully ck your bill if you buy the meal plan else you'll pay twice; first */day for plan, then again when they sneak in food charges on your bill - happened to all 21 of us!Food is great but 30-50% more than same restaurant in NYC, like Nobu, etc.

The Atlantis is truly something worth seeing!! Aside from all of the other great reviews, I did deduct a star from my rating because of an unfriendly staff. That's not to say that they were all bad, but their attitudes made it seem as if they didn't enjoy being there. Not to mention that we had some things stolen from us in the pool area. When we talked to the hotel manager, she explained that it was our fault for leaving it unattended, and the pool is "public property". We all know that it's private property, but the rules are different in the Bahamas. It's not the states, where you would be upgraded immediately. Anyway, we later saw the operation of theiving by the pool. There was a staff member that had asked us if some snorkel equipment was ours. We told him that is wasn't. I was suspicious so I walked away and watched froma distance. Sure enough, the staff member who asked if it was ours, threw a towel over the equipment and walked away. Not but a minute later, he came by and picked everything up under the towels. He took the wrapped up towel into his "Autorized Access Only" room and came out later with only the towel. He saw me watching and knew that his cover was blown. Instead of reporting him, I asked him if he had seen our stuff that we had stolen the day before. Of course he denied it and we went our separate ways. Other than that, it was a great vacation and there was plenty of stuff to do. Don't miss the crazy river.

The hotel was beautiful, could not ask for anything more relaxing. The hotel had everything you would want. The food and drinks on the other hand was so expensive.Be prepared for a conservative party of 2 the meals run $105 per meal on site. The drinks run from $4.50 for cokes to $11 for drinks. They were really good. Suggestion bring your own water and drinks and snacks. Snacks very expensive as well.

We stayed at the Beach Tower...we had three kids 11, 13 & 16. (we had a roll away bed). It was fine considering it was one room. You have to book it for 4 or else it will not have availability. Then when I checked in I just put all of our names on the sheet. The view was beautiful and the housekeeping was excellent. We had brief trouble with the TV when we arrived but they sent a tech up to fix it...we had 2 charges on bill for movies we didn't purchase. They took them off after the second request. When you check in you give a credit card...the room keys put everything on this card. You can check your bill at any time on the TV. I thought that was pretty neat. To eat on premises or at the Marina Village was very expensive although they do have a Pizza Shop and a Sub Shop outside near the Casino entrance that wasn't too bad. We found ourselves eating across the street from the Marina at Anthony's (breakfast and dinner wasn't bad). You can eat at the beach or pool food stand for cheap if you get the combo meals. That is open til 6PM. If you want to eat at Carmines it serves only parties of 6 or more if they are busy or you can be there when they open and they may seat you. We lucked out on the last night and they were not as busy and they seated us at 8PM but I was there at 6PM to get reservation. If you call for reservations they will only take it if it is a party of 6 or more. I suggest calling ahead of your trip to make reservations for each evening.

This was a top notch vacation. The place was great, service was great. Meals are a bit pricey. The beach and water was the absolute best!

The hotel itself was pretty, very large and we felt safe. Loved their rules, and nice pools. Sometimes for example where the turtles were it smelled really bad. But the staff were amazing very nice.

Well, the service was excellent. The rooms hardware could use some upgrades. The prices for food & drinks were rediculously high, plus they add 15% gratuity on everything food or drink you buy without you knowing it. Resort clean, employees were courteous. Overall a great trip, but really expensive. Have FUN!!!

glad i read reviews before our trip. hotel is great. pools, water slides, facilities, service, beach ... all great. myself, wife, and 10 month old son.......great trip. hotel will ickel and dime you, if you let them. we brought with us stuff to have breakfast in the room (also saves a lot of time) - poptarts, iced tea and lemonade mix, hostess donuts...etc. we brought snacks for poolside and for evenings in the room. basically had one big meal out per day - either lunch or dinner. restaurnats in the hotel are outrageous, but poolside burgers and fries are affordable. anthony's restaurant across the street..had a reasonably priced meal and the quality was superb. dont let the TGIF ambiance throw you off...the food was good. bring some thermos containers and buy duty free booze.....there is an ice machine on every floor.....so we made vodka iced tea's and brought them poolside....had drinks for the room at night....I read from another review DO NOT USE THE FRIDGE FOR YOUR OWN STUFF. they will charge you. we had baby medicine that needed to be refrigerated. I called the moment I got there and asked for permission to use the fridge for this reason..only. when we checked out they charged us $* per day to use the fridge....because i had it on record that I had asked permission...they happilytook fixed our bill. overall.....it turned out to be a cheap vacation just by being a little frugal.....not cheap....just not stupid. oh yeah I had the taxi from the airport stop at a bar and I bought a case of beer for the room...on ice of course....in a cooler bag for the pool........smart. $* bettter than $*per beer. enjoy.

My husband and I felt like we were in "paradise" at our visit to the Atlantis Resort & Casino at Paradise Island. The Atlantis is beautiful and I give the guest rooms at the Beach Tower 4 stars. I'm glad that I didn't pay hundreds more for the more lavishing towers, such as Coral Towers, Royal Towers. We were very comfortable in our room and KUDOS to the staff at the Atlantis. They are very friendly, responsive, and attentive--quick to ask you if you need help. I read about the water slides and beach at the Atlantis, and we didn't know that, as adults, we would have so much fun on these water slides. We were on the water slides every day! The beach was great too! Just note, all of this "paradise" comes at a price. We had a great package price through Orbitz. The manager at Atlantis was suprised to hear what we paid. However, once at the hotel, the food was very expensive. We enjoyed dining downtown Nassau (the Fish Fry ares) at Twin Brothers (delicious) which was 5 minutes via taxi for $11 or 15 min via ferry for $3, and at the Marina Village--Bimini Road has delicious food for much, much less, and at some of the pool/beach side restaurants for lunch. Overall, our stay at the Atlantis was very fun, relaxing, and memorable. And we will return!

The lack of value was the real problem at Atlantis. The hotel itself is like a huge shopping mall (eg Mall of America). The surroundings consist, basically, of a big water park for kids. EVERYTHING is extremely overpriced. The lowest priced rooms were $ each per night. We had a view of the tar paper roof and there wasn't even a coffee maker in the room.Breakfast was a stale bagel and a cup of coffee for $ dollars each. You can't get dinner on the hotel property for less than $ each. We played with dolphins. That 45 minutes of fun was an extra $ each. Carry a pocket full of five dollar bills for tipping everything. They'll try to take your picture everywhere and charge you big for it. If you ask for information, you're hit with a sales pitch for some time share. The place is great if you want to gamble and drink and hang out by the pool. You can let the kids run wild. It's not a bad place, but they're so blatant about leaving you penniless, that I couldn't relax. Instead, stay at the downtown Hilton or the Sheraton on Cable Beach for $ per night. Line up your day excursions ahead of time: Stuart Coves for snorkeling, Powerboat Adventures for a full day private island trip. Blue Lagoon Dolphin Close Encounter. Bahamas Paradise Ocean Do-It-All Package. Line up one excursion per day, with a nice dinner (try the Poop Deck.) You'll have a blast for half the price of Atlantis.

I Love Atlantis! I have gone on many vacations around the carribbean and they have been very beautiful but this was by far the best! When you see pictures of the hotel you may think, "Oh my, that must be expensive!" but it is really not. Me and my family had a great time and my daughter met a friend the first day. There are many pools and there many waterslides. The one big waterslide looks intense, but it is not. I mean really, usually you go on vacation to one place once, so just go for it! Go Atlantis.
